Caitlyn watched as Dmetri walked down the staircase, boy did he look hot, even if he was wearing his usual clothes. "Thanks, you look very nice yourself." She said blushing slightly. She looked up into his eyes, her goofy smile showing on her face again. She shook her head when she realized she couldn't tell where she was again. "Er, have you by any chance find my mind?" She asked softly. Dmetri smirked as he heard her thoughts, "Thank you." He met her eyes and smiled. He didn't know why he was drawn to her she had none of the characteristics he usually looked for and yet a part of him was. "I vould...if it vere lost. But as I can hear it I know that it is not." He smirked and held out his arm, "And vhere vould you like to go?" |

Caitlyn looked at the floor for a moment beofre looked back up at him. She froze when he said he could hear her mind and turned a deeper red. "You can hear them? Anything good you like to hear?" She asked. She smiled as he held out his arm and gladly took it. "I was thinking either the Three Broomsticks or Madam Puddifoots, unless there's somewhere you want to go?"

Dmetri watched as Caitlyn turned red and just nodded, "Yes, I can hear them." He smirked and shook his head, "Not particularly and not right now anyvay." Nodding again he opened the door, "I think the Three Broomsticks might be a better idea."

Caitlyn nodded and shook her head. "I'll just have to keep that in mind when I wish to picture you..." She stopped before continuing, blushing yet again as she almost said naked. She looked up as Dmetri and put on a straight face. "Three Broomsticks it is." She said and started out into the fresh air.

Elizabeth walked down the stairs and stood in the Great Hall, watching the students running off to their dorms before dinner. She was glad Simon had thought of going out for the night, it meant that she got to spend alone time with him. Twirling a curl around her finger she smiled, remembering the conversation in the Staff Room. She hadn't laughed so much in ages.

As Simon entered the Entrance Hall from outside he saw Liz standing several feet away playing with her hair and smiling to herself. He smiled to himself too. She looked too beautiful for words. He found himself hoping it was him she was thinking of that had produced that smile on her lips.
He was aware that they were very much on display in front of the students so as he crept up behind her, he made sure not to touch her in any way that may betray their relationship to prying eyes.
"Penny for your thoughts." he murmured just behind her ear.

Liz jumped slightly hearing his voice by her ear for the second time in the day bringing her out of her daydreams.
"How bout a kiss?" she asked cheekily. "I was thinking about earlier in the staffroom," she said turning to face him. "Then I started thinking about tonight. And now I'm wondering whether I'll ever get used to you sneaking up on me." She grinned and looked at him, careful not to do anything that would cause speculation between students. When they were ready they'd let everyone know, but that probably wouldn't be until the ball.

Simon couldn't stop himself grinning, feeling so happy again just to be i her presence.
"I'd love to oblige you, but I don't think this is the right place." he said looking around at the students. Some were even looking at them curiously.
"Come on, let's get out of here. London's Calling." he said with a smile and a wink. He wanted to take her hand or at the very least, offer her his arm but he knew someone would see and in this place gossip spread like fiendfyre.
He led her to the front door and held the small hatch open for her. He followed her outside, glad to be out of the castle and off on a night of what he hoped would be pure bliss.

Liz pouted but nodded. "You owe me a kiss Professor Hedwig," she told him grinning.
"Can't keep London waiting now can we?" she asked stopping herself from giggling at his wink. She followed him to the door and smiled as he held it open for her. "As soon as we get to Hogsmede we'll be student free," she said sighing in content at the prospects of that sentance. Tonight was going to be lovely.

Sebastian had never felt so nervous in his life. He kept adjusting his tie, polishing his shoes and straightening his hair. The unruly thing couldn't be tamed.....but at least it looked slightly formal. He glanced impatiently at his watch, if there was one thing that distracted him it was the time. It's tonight right? Why isn't anyone here....7 pm on the dot urgh... Sebastian scowled unbecomingly. Staring blankly at the staircase he pulled his mask out of his pocket, slipping it into his jacket pocket.

Sam walked up beside Sebastian and gave the other guy a nod. "Hey," he said, fidgeting with his hands behind his back. He hated things like this. But it was all going to be worth it once Bella walked down those steps. He sighed. How long does it take to get dressed!

Max had never been so nervous in his life! He hoped he looked okay. He felt like an idiot! He was sure Annie was going to look stunning. She always did. He stepped up next to Sam, nudging his friend. "Hey mate," he said, Sam just nodded at him. They seemed to be forming a line waiting for the girls to come down. He fidgeted with his mask. He felt like a right noob!

Sebastian almost smirked.
"Damn...these girls are taking their sweet time" He muttered to Sam, giving Max a slight nod as he came down the stairs. He swept a hand through his hair, twitching uncomfortably.

Bella stood behind a pillar waiting for her turn to walk down the stairs, a bunch of fourth years were giggling about who was going down first. "How about I do since I'm prefect and then you follow what I do?" she asked using her most patient voice. They looked at her and then nodded.
Looking down from the top steps she realised that quite a few people were waiting for the girls that were in the dressing room. Surely they hadn't taken that long had they? Actually they probably had what with all the gossiping. Making sure that her mask was on right, she began walking down the stairs, keeping her eyes on the guy she knew was Sam. Even with a mask and a fabulous tux on, the hair was a small giveaway as was his height. "Hey stranger," she said stopping in front of him.
