Main Street Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain. According to tradition it was founded over a thousand years ago, around the same time as Hogwarts, by Hengist of Woodcroft as he was fleeing persecution by Muggles. It's a picturesque little village of thatched cottages and shops, with enchanted candles hanging in the trees during the holidays. Moderator: JadieLou |

Three Broomsticks A well-known inn and a frequent haunt of Hogwarts students. It's warm and comfortable, is always packed, and is a great spot to drink butterbeer, although they also serve firewhisky, gillywater, mulled mead, red currant rum, and even cherry syrup and soda with ice and an umbrella. The owner of the bar is Madam Rosmerta. Moderator: JadieLou |

Madame Puddifoot's Tea Shop A small, cramped tea shop with decor on the tacky side of frilly (such as floating golden cherubs throwing pink confetti), located ust off High Street. The only Hogwarts students who seem to patronize the place are trysting couples. |

Hogsmeade Post Office A place where at least three hundred owls, from Great Grays to tiny Scops ("Local Deliveries Only"), wait to carry messages. They sit on shelves that are color-coded, depending on how fast you want your letter to get to its destination. It is also referred to as an "owl office". Moderator: JadieLou |

Honeyduke's Sweet Shop A sweetshop, which is filled with shelves upon shelves of the most succulent-looking sweets imaginable. In addition to the standard wizarding candy that is sold there, the owners also make their own fudge and chocolate. For obvious reasons, the shop is quite a popular destination for Hogwarts students when visiting Hogsmeade on the weekends. Moderator: Charli Saunders |

Shrieking Shack Falsely rumored to be "the most haunted building in Britain," the Shrieking Shack is a favorite stop on any Hogsmeade visit. It is now a small shrine to those who lost their lives in the Second War, namely Severus Snape, who was killed there by Voldemort himself. Moderator: JadieLou |
