The Flower Garden

[Krysta Hedwig]

Krys walked quickly an stiffly through the flower beds, hugging her books to her best. She finally dropped to the ground amongst some giant daisies and droppd all her belongings in a heap on the ground. Her eyes were welling up, bt she refused to let tears fall. Refused. What a bloody day. She couldn't believe Caeleb was back and he was already causing trouble. She knew it was stupid but she almost felt like any damage he did, she was partly responsible for it. And he had already chosen his first victims: Kelly and Danika. What a godawful mess this was turning into.
She wondered what was happening back in Transfiguration, then thought it was better not to ponder too much. Kelly would probably fill her in later...she just hoped Caeleb wouldn't be "filling Kelly in" later on.

She shook her head at herself. What a situation she'd ot herself into. Danika was driving her wild and she knew she was falling for her. But Krysta was no fool. Danika was very much in love with Kelly. SHe could never love Krys, she was sure of it. What she didn't understand was the fact that it didn't bother her that much...yet. An image of Dani's naked torso entered her mind and she shivered with pleasure at the memory.
And then there was Kelly. She never would have thought she would have warmed to her the way she had. She liked her, she was a great girl. Which only made her feel worse about the situation.

She plucked a daisy and began pulling the petals off one at a time.

"She loves her, she loved me not. She loves her, she loves me not..."

Bella walked softly up to Krysta and sat down tucking her legs underneath her. Whatever had happened to Krysta during Transfiguration had really upset her. "Isn't it meant to be she loves me, she loves me not?" she asked quietly, not wanting to frighten Krys. "I've been looking for you everywhere Krys, are you alright?" she asked.

Krys looked up startled. She smiled wistfully and scrunched the flower up in her fist. She shook her head.
"Only in a perfect world" Krys said, letting the petals fall to the ground. She smiled apologetically at Bella.
"How was transfiguration? Caeleb didn't give anyone a hard time did he?" she asked. "He can such an a**hole."

Bella mentally hit herself, she should've at least made some noise that she was here instead of just talking. "If you ever find that world, could you please let me know," she joked trying to lighten the mood. "It was...interesting," Bella finally said, deciding on a word. "I don't think he gave anyone a hard time. Professor Peterson partnered us up into pairs, and yes you're right, he can definitely be a self centered a** hole."

Krysta chuckled.
"I promise if I ever find a perfect world you'll be the first person I call." she said, smiling and pulling apart another daisie.
She suddenly looked at Bella with a serious look on her face.
"Bella will you promise me something? Don't ever let that b******d get to you, ok? Don't let him reel you in. Because if he thinks he can hurt you, he will. He'll see your relationship with Sam as a challenge. Don't let him hurt you. You're a good person, Bella and he wouldn't think twice about ripping your life apart just for five minutes of fun." she said, placing her hands on Bella's shoulders and looking firmly into her face.

"Thanks," Bella said truthfully with a small laugh. She took two of the daisies from the ground and tucked one behind Krys' ear before tucking one behind her own. "Flowers look better like this, not crumpled," she told her.

She froze as Krysta looked quite serious. "Oh believe me, didn't you hear Mel and I in Transfig before you left. We both agree he's a shallow egomaniac self centered thing." When she heard that he may use her relationship with Sam though she did get a bit worried. Both he and Sam were in the same year after all and it was well known that they were going out. "Krys look at me, I won't let him use me. But if it makes you feel better, I won't go anywhere without one of my friends okay?"

Krys smiled and nodded. She smiled as Bella tuked thedaisy behind her ear.
"Very pretty." she agreed with a chuckle. She looked into the distance for a moment.
"It's just...he's so...good at what he does." was the best explantion she could come up with. She dropped her voice a notch and spoke quietly.
"He certainly had me well and hooked." she said distantly, before looking at Bella sadly. "I'll give him this though: he knows what a girl likes." Then she looked at the ground and tried to shake off the memories.
She looked up at Bella and smiled.
"Never mind him. How are you and Sam these days?"

Bella sat there for a few moments, ignoring the winter wind as she had set a heat spell on her clothes. She nodded and continued to listen to Krys. "Yeah I got that much from him in just one lesson," she admitted just as softly. "I don't get it, apart from the fact that he's probably been pulling girls since he was like 10, how does he know this stuff?" Seeing Krysta she rubbed her back softly, trying to console her. "Sam and I are doing fine actually. He said he'd choose me over Quidditch the other day, which I honestly don't think he's every said to anyone before. You know how much he loves Quidditch."

Krysta laughed loudly.
"Wow, it must be true love!" Krys said through her laugh, not really joking. "That's quite special coming from him." she smiled at Bella.
"As for Caeleb...I don't know. It's almost like it isn't something he learned, it's just a gift he has. It's not just women, either. He's probably the world's best manipulator. People say Lord Voldemort was the same, you know. He just knew how to win you over, make you relax, let down your guard. I've heard tell he was very charming. I suppose Caeleb has something similar." she suggested thoughtfully.
She patted her tummy. She was starting to feel a bit hungry.
"Is it too early for dinner?" she asked hopefully. "I could do with some comfort food."

"It might be true love," Bella said laughing as well. She could see the funny side of it, not many people found their true loves in school. "Or Mel could be right and it could be an obsession."
She frowned, "Hmm well that means no one here is safe, just think of what Kildara could use him for." She shuddered and then nodded, "Yeah I heard the same thing, which is why I've suddenly become very worried for all the students there are in Hogwarts."
Checking her watch Bella laughed, "Dinner's not for a while, but I'm a bit peckish too. Does hot chocolate with marshmallows, whipped cream, sprinkles and flake sound good? With a plate of brownies?" She stood off and wiped off the snow that had started falling. "Kitchens it is then!"

"Hmmm...chocolate: check, marshmallows: check, whipped cream: double check! Let's go!" exclaimed Krys in full agreement. She jumped to her feet and began gathering her books. She waited for Bella to get up, thinking how good it was all going to taste.

Bella laughed as Krysta went through the checklist. "Thought you might like it!" She stood up and grabbed her bags and then started running for the castle. "Last one to the castle doesn't get an extra helping of whipped cream!" she called behind her.

Ceallach walked down from the castle, already finding it stuffy. Entering the Flower Garden, she looked around. This was nice. She walked around for a while then sat on one of the benches. She took out her notebook and a muggle pen (they are easier to carry around and you don't need inkpots!) and continued on with her latest novel.

Bella walked out to the gardens her thoughts occupied on the time she'd had with Caeleb the other day. She had come out noticing the frost that was out and thought she might find some flowers to draw. As she walked to her normal spot she saw a Gryffinor sitting there writing something with a muggle pen. "I'm sorry will I disturb you if I sit here?" she asked.

Ceallach looked up as someone walked up to her. There were a lot of benches around. Shut up, Ceallach!

"No, not at all. Sit," she said, shifting over to give the girl more room. "I'm Ceallach by the way."
