Kildara's Room

This is the room Kildara Snape is staying in. It is a normal hospital room except for the walls are the deep green colour of slytherin house.

Adam entered Kildara's room quietly after all the tests. "Kildara?" Adam asked stepping forward towards her bed with a frown on his face. Her baby was dying and there was nothing he could do about it, how could he tell her that?

[Caeleb Dracus]

Caeleb looked up as Adam came in. He'd been standing in the corner, covered by shadow staring at the bed where Dara lay. He watched Adam move across to the bed and his wand hand twitched. This better be good news...

Kildara stirred, hearing her name. She made a small moan of pain, her body had stopped shuddering and all she had now was a throb in her abdomen. She still couldn't oopen her eyes, but she was aware of people around her. She could feel Caeleb's presence, she always could, and someone she knew, but couldn't place. Finally her eyes flickered open, but her vision was blurry. She tried to block out the pain, but she had no energy, she just lay there.
"Caeleb," she murmured, wanting him by her side.

Adam watched Kildara stir and pulled out his wand. He quickly muttered a spell to heal the pain. "Now Kildara, it's Adam" he said placing his wand back in his pocket and looking at the charts again.

Kildara's eyes flung open her vision all of a sudden clear. "Adam? Oh my, I'm sorry," she said softly. Great. She looked around the room, she could still sense Caeleb, but her vision still wasn't good enough to see very fair in front of her. She put her hand on her stomach. "My baby. What happened?" she asked. She knew what happened, she just needed confirmation.

[Caeleb Dracus]

Caeleb moved forward, moving to Dara's side opposite Adam. He took her hand and massaged it reassuringly in his. He looked at Adam expectantly. The look on the doctor's face wasn't one that inspired hope.

Adam looked down at Kildara and then at Calaeb, "would you like him to hear?" he said,, he couldn't revile any information without permission, defiently not when it was something with big.

Kildara looked up when she felt Caeleb take her hand. She felt like she could handle anything now. She tore her gaze away from him and turned to Adam.
"Yes. Just tell me," she said, almost threateningly. Why were doctors so annoying!

Adam nodded and let out a sigh, "I'm sorry Kildara..." he took another breath and shook his head slightly, "The baby is basically gone, there's no way to save it" this was the worst part of the job, telling people that lives were lost.

Kildara's world crashed at Adam's words. Her baby, the baby she'd wanted her entire life, gone, just like the others. Voldemort was gone, she was supposed to be able to do what she wanted! But people were constantly trying to make her life hell. Fourth baby she'd lost. This was teh only time she'd been through the pain though. Four babies, murdered. Tears began falling from her eyes. She tried to stop them. She couldn't cry, not with Caeleb there. This was bad. She was weak. This wasn't her. Not even when she'd had her other babies taken from her, she'd never cried. This was wrong.

Adam frowned and put hand on her shoulder, he could tell she was trying to hold back the tears "it's alright to cry about this" he said looking up at Caeleb wondering whether the threat from eariliar still stood, if it did he should get out of there, quickly.

[Caeleb Dracus]

Caeleb didn't respond for several seconds. He just stared into space whilst Dara and Adma exchanged words. Dara's pain engulfed him and he felt somethng he'd never felt before: empathy. He should hold her. He should take her in his arms and comfort her. But the torrent took over. It swelled and rose turning crimson deep within him. His eyes turned several shades darker and the hand holding Dara's began to shake. He didn't look at either of them as he spoke in a deep, gutteral voice.
"Who_did_this?"

Kildara looked over to Caeleb as she felt his hand shaking. He looked like he was going to blow.
"Caeleb, darling, please. My body obviously just can't have children," she tried to reason. She looked at Adam for support. She knew it wasn't that, but she didn't want Caeleb killing Kelly. That would mean she would have to expell him, then he wouldn't be there anymore. She couldn't have that!

He looked down at her and his darkened eyes turned black. She was lying. Someone had done this to her. He thought of arguing, but even in this livid state he knew that she was in no state for it. He sucked in a deep breath and squeezed her hand. This wasn't the end of this. He'd find out who had murdered her child if it was the last thing he ever did. He knew Dara was trying to protect him, but who was protecting her? She was so stubborn. Well it stopped here and now. He turned to face her and dropped to his knee so that his head was the same height and hers. Taking her hand in both of his he spoke slowly and clearly.
"Kildara. I am your servant. And I vow to protect you: at all costs, through any danger, through whatever the ba****ds send our way. They shall not hurt you again without going through me, and to do that they will have to kill me." he promised her. He bent his head and kissed her hand respectfully, sincerely and then rose to his feet.

He looked at Adam and nodded respectfully. For some reason he was not angry with the doctor. He found this confusing. Was it perhaps dara that had this rationalising affect on him? He looked back down at Dara.
"I'll stay if you want me to. But if you want to be alone, then I shall respect your wishes." he said, nodding slightly.
