Caeleb sensed Kelly come into the room and his forked tongue flashed gredily from his scaly, fanged mouth. From unde the bed he could see her legs as she sat down in the chair.
One bite is all it would take. One bite and it'd all be over
He heard Kildara speak and paused. He had made her a promise.
"No one dies until I say so."
He waited, gliding in a serpentine manner around the floor, waiting to see what his Mistress would do next.

Kelly heard Kildara speak. "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. It has to end. You have no control over me. I'll destroy you, just like you destroyed me. And don't call me dear." She felt her fury beginning to build up. She wanted to hurt Kildara, but she wasn't about to do the first move. She had a firm grip of her wand and so she just sat. "You still made a mistake. Just because I am weak, doesn't mean you can win. I didn't destroy you. You destroyed yourself. If I had, you wouldn't be here right now." Dara could feel Kelly's blood beginning to boil, making her smile. She fed off Kelly's anger, strengthening her. She still did not turn to face the girl. The more she aggrevated Kelly, the quicker Dara regained her strength. |

Kildara's words surprised her "I didn't come here just because you're weak. I can leave, you just come and find me. I just came to say, that you're the reason I'm like that. If you hadn't killed my parents, then I wouldn't be here and if you hadn't been so weak to let me live, I wouldn't be here either. Take it any way you want, it is still your fault." She was getting turned up, so he couldn't sit still anymore. She walked closer to Kildara's bed, touching her hair "You can't win. No matter what you do." She didn't want to be too close to Kildara though, so she slowly walked to the end of her bed, leaning on it "You chose the wrong side."

It was a matter of duty, my dear." Kildara smirked as Kelly touched her hair. Dara was winning a small battle. Kelly was falling under the same spell many had before her. When she moved away, Kildara's hope didn't fade, it only strengthened. "The wrong side? Tell me, Kelly. What is right and wrong? Are there really sides? Or different ideals. Each right and wrong in their own way?" |

Kelly glanced at Kildara "Yes, there are sides. Killing innocent people for gaining power is the wrong side. The Order fights for the innocent ones. That's the right side. I wouldn't want you to understand it. A person with a heart like cold stone, couldn't possibly know the difference between right or wrong." She wanted Kildara to do something. She wanted to live herself out on her, so she could finally start thinking rationally. She felt falling out of control, her eyes achieving their red glow.

Kaiia was frustrated. As soon as she heard what had happened to Kildara's baby, she felt she had to go and see her. It was so close to her own experience. But upon arriving at St Mungo's, she had been met with a stone wall. They wouldn't even tell her how Kildara was. Of course, many of the healers, all Order members, knew who she was; the Blackthorns had been one of the most prominent pureblood families, almost as well-known as the Malfoys. That, she knew, was the main reason for their attitude to her. With a final contemptuous glance at the Head Healer, she turned and walked out of the main entrance.
Once she was outside, she waited until there was no-one close, then transformed into her barn owl form, and began flying slowly past the windows, her acute hearing straining to catch anything useful. As she glided past a second floor window, she caught a familiar voice, and landed on the window ledge. The window was slightly open, and she could hear Kildara's voice from within. She peered in, and could see Kildara in the bed, and Kelly at the end of the bed. There was a smile on Kildara's face, and Kaiia ruffled her feathers, and settled down on the ledge. Kildara seemed to have things under control, for now. She would wait to see what happened.

Kelly's anger was growing rapidly. Kildara's strength returning. Soon, she'd be able to sap Kelly dry. "Kelly, it's not about power. It never has been. It's about purity. And correctness. Sides mean nothing. They are blurred lines that people hold on to. There is no such thing as sides, Kelly. Only decisions." |

Her lips curled into a smile. "You're actually not listening to me at all are you? Only hearing what you want. I'm not pure, in the sense you should be. You're still a child. My blood is purer than you could even dream of." She said simply. "Don't you think you've harmed me enough, Kelly. Taken the baby I thought I was free to have. What are you afraid of, dear? Why haven't you done anything yet? Why haven't you attempted to kill me? You still have too much of a heart. Too much your father's daughter," she sneered, calmly. |

"Why haven't I done anything ? Maybe I'm waiting for you to slip ? I might be smart!" suddenly she stopped. Someone was trying to send her a message, so opened her mind slightly, to hear Krysta's scared voice. As she opened her eyes again, she smirked at Kildara. "Well, well, well. Seems, we have company." She silently conjured a shield around her. "Caeleb, come out and play" Kelly whispered, laughing silently,

Caeleb didn't wait to be told twice he slithered out from the bed, his long black form gliding elegantly across the floor. He reared his head and hissed angrily at Kelly, the bemused expression on her face infuriating him even further. She wanted to play did she?
Let me, mistress. Let me. He begged.
Suddenly he stopped and lowered his attack stance. A voice...a painfully familiar voice had entered his head.
"If you want her my love you'll have to go through me."
He hissed angrily and reluctantly changed back into his human form.
"Looks like someone's got herself a little bodyguard." he growled, a flicker of angered amusement in his tone. "How touching."

More than your dear mother knew, I'd bet. He was quite an experimenter your dad," Kildara sneered. He liked his girls young, Sirius did. "Slip? Oh my dear. Smart? If you were smart, you wouldn't have sat down. You would have killed me while I slept. You would have curbed your anger, making it impossible for me to feed off it, giving me the strength I needed. She, dear Kelly. You are but a child. Immature, and naive." Kildara felt Kelly's mind open, leaking thoughts and what she was receiving. So dear Krysta Hedwig knew things. Then Kildara felt Kelly's shield go up, and she smirked. She sighed as Caeleb took the bait. No, my love. Not now! |

Outside the window, Kaiia tried to stifle her reflex hiss of alarm as Caeleb suddenly appeared. Another animagus... well, if he was there, then at least Kildara wasn't alone with that girl. Even though she seemed to be handling her masterfully. Trying to stay still, ghostlike on the window ledge, she continued to listen.
