Danika heard Alex's thought and sighed. Oh, but Alex, my dear. He looks like fun! she thought back, smirking in Alex's direction. That's all he looked like. A bit of fun. And anyways, Emilia had told her she had to break up with Kelly. Not that she wanted to do it, but, she would need someone to comfort her when she did, and now Alex was out of the picture, she'd need someone else.

Alex rolled his eyes again and shook his head. 'That's what every other girl at this school thought but when he's done with you he won't see you again' he replied in his head . 'Why him? not someone better... really anyone is better then him' so what if he was being protective of her, she didn't need to be hurt again.

Danika sighed. Honey. If I want to have a bit of fun, my heart isn't in it. Hence the reason I'm able to have the fun. Why him? Did you see him scratch his arm? I don't need better. I need fun and something to take my mind off things! she thought. It was true. That was all she needed. She didn't need love. She had it. But she had to give it away. All she needed was someone to take her mind off her broken heart!

Alex tried to think of something to say in reply but there really was nothing he could say about that. He let out a sigh and nodded. 'Fine but if he hurts you, he has me to deal with. Understand?' he asked looking her straight in the eyes.

Dani returned his gaze, wanting to hug him, but that would betray they were having a conversation. Thank you, my darling big brother! Gosh she loved him sometimes, in a little sisterly sort of way.

Alex smiled and held in a chuckle, 'no problem my little sister' he replied and put his feet up. 'wait ew... I'm giving my little sister permission to... you know' he joked and smirked down at her.

Danika had to laugh out loud. Everytime you turn a blind eye to what I do, you are giving me permission, darling brother! She smiled and hugged him, no longer caring it showed they were talking. She shook her head, then rested it on his shoulder. It was odd. She felt like doing this was okay now. Before, being like this, sentimental almost, would have looked weak, but now, they were both weak, in love with Gryffindors. What was Slytherin House coming to? Where it's royals look elsewhere!

Alex nodded, "yeap because every other time it was with people i trusted" he said out loud and hugged Dani back then put his arm around her while she leaned against his shoulder, "you're right we're getting soft" he muttered so she could hear but not Caeleb.

Danika laughed. "Trusted? Do you even know half of them?" she smiled. She snuggled into him a bit as he put his arm around her. "Definately. Relationships make people soft. They're a curse," she muttered.

Alex rolled his eyes playfully, "I trusted Sam and stuff" he shrugged, "but him i don't" he said quietly with his mouth close to her ear. "Funny thing? i haven't even started mine" he laughed.

"Fair enough. I don't trust him either. But all I want is a bit of fun, Alex," she said, her mouth close to his ear. "I'm sure your relationship will be fine, Alex. Mel's a good girl. Not your usual, but she's nice."

"you don't know him" he whispered back slowly eyeinig the guy then looking back at Danika, they were still lsitting really close and he kissed her on the forehead, "don't get attached." he added and laughed, "what's my usual? dumb blonde? big chest?" he asked in a very amused voice.

"I know. Which is good. No expectations." she whispered back. She closed her eyes as he kissed her on the forehead. They were both softening. It was odd how all this all of a sudden seemed okay. "Yeah, dumb blonde, easy. And there's nothing wrong with a big chest!" she laughed, looking down at her own.

Alex nodded, as long as she didn't get attached and he didn't hurt her they were fine. "good to know I had a sterotype" he replied and furrowed his eye brows together at the chest comment, "dude, you're like a little sister, I'm not meant to look at your chest" he said laughing at her, forgetting who was in the room.

Danika laughed. "Oh, dear brother, you had a stereotype alright," she teased. This was fun. Just being teenagers. Just being normal. No stuffy Slytherin stuff. Just being friends. She laughed again when he said he shouldn't look at her chest. "Oh, Alex, admit it. You have!"
