Staff Table

Kildara smiled. "Thanks. That's great." she said, nodding her head approvingly.

Lily-Anne sat at the far end of the table, eating slowly. her ears following the conversation, but her eyes were watching her daughters eating at their table.

Magesta walked into the Great Hall and the smell of the food made her realize just how hungry she was. Well a whole day of unpacking and can do that to you. She walked up to the aisles smiling at the students until she reached the Staff Table and had a seat. Looking over the food she smiled and began selecting what she wanted. She had always loved the food here at Hogwarts.

"Hello Magesta," Elizabeth said as her friend sat down next to her. "Hungry from unpacking are we?" she asked, seeing her eye all the food. "Try the chicken and the roasted potatos," she said popping a bit into her mouth. She swallowed and then said, "they're really good."

Kildara walked into the Hall and up to the Staff Table, tiredly. Her stomach was aching. She shoudl probably see the nurse but she really didn't have time. She sat in her throne-like chair and smiled at the others sitting there, a protective hand on her tummy.
"Hello Magesta, Elizabeth," she said, a smiled playing across her crimsonlips.

Magesta turned and saw Elizabeth heading toward the table. She laughed, "Yes well, it probably didn't help that I haven't had anything to eat all day. Should keep a stock pile of food out in my office." She placed some chicken and potatoes on her plate, "you know I always did like their food here." She turned toward Kildara and smiled, "Hello." She noticed her hand on her stomach, "Feeling all right?"

Kildara smiled at Magesta. "Just aching a little bit," she smiled. "Nothing to worry about." She hadn't told the staff her news just yet. Some knew, but supposed she would have to tell soon.

"Probably," Elizabeth said laughing. "But no food, honestly Magesta! You should know that your body needs food to be able to work well." She smiled as Kildara greeted them, "Hello Kildara, and how are we doing?" she asked, seeing the hand on the stomach.

Kildara smiled. "I'm a bit sore, but apart from that, I'm fine." she said, smiling tiredly at the two women. She spooned some food onto her plate and started to eat.

Elizabeth nodded and smiled knowingly. Her mother had told her the exact same thing when she was ten years old. Now at 24 she knew better then to think the headmistress was telling the truth, however it wasn't her news to tell. "Well I hope you feel better Kildara," she said respectively. "Perhaps you should go and see the nurse."

Magesta laughed and mocked seriousness, "Of course Professor Rodgers." She laughed harder and started to eat, "Well I do tend to get distracted at times. Think that was the problem my coach always had with me. Though he never complained much, probably because he was afraid I'd hit him with the bat."

She turned toward Kildara with a worried expression as she began to eat sparingly. "So how are classes going?" She asked both women.

Kildara smiled. "Thanks Elizabeth. I might just do that. I don't want to be getting sick now," she chuckled, her hand clutching momentarily on her aching stomach.

"Classes are good. We've got a great group of kids," she smiled.

Emilia walked to the staff table sat down, greeted Kildara, Magesta and Elizabeth and started to eat. She was feeling very hungry.

[Kaiia Blackthorn]

Kaiia Blackthorn sat at the staff table, paying little attention to the conversation around her. She was comparing Hogwarts to Durmstrang, where she had taught previously. The food here, of course, was excellent, and certainly better in both quantity and variety than she had been used to. She was sticking to her usual small portions, but had to admit she sometimes felt tempted by the rich desserts. Not that she was worried about her weight, but becoming too used to such comforts was dangerous. It dulled your reflexes. Of course, the place was just as overheated as ever. One of the reasons she had liked Durmstrang was that fires were never lit for 'comfort'. She would still be working there now, if she hadn't been such a fool. She sighed bitterly, shaking her flaming red hair back from her face, and tried to think about her plans for that evening.

Kildara looked up as Emilia and Kaiia sat down.
"Hi Emilia," she said happily. Everyone seemed to be really hungry. Even though she was eating for two, she only ate half of what everyone else did.
She looked at Kaiia with a concerned look but decided against addressing her and disturbing her thoughts.
