Chris made his way slowly down the stairs into the main bar area. He could see the light starting to ever-slowly creep through the windows as he flicked his hand, pushing open the once grubby curtains. After he'd taken over the place, it had under gone a rigourous cleaning. Everything had been scorged of dust and grime. He wasn't going to have his pub like that. People still came in here, whatever state it was in. He even put in some windows, getting some of the guys from the Ministry to give him those fake atmospheres outside. He looked around at the state his pub was in at the moment. Those bloody hoons from last night. Chris had been so tired when they'd left, he couldn't be bothered finishing cleaning. He sighed, waving his hand, making the cleaning appliances start to move, cleaning up the remainder of the mess, flicking it out the back door, into the bins. He didn't know how Muggle barkeeps cleaned their pubs. Well, the only ones he'd been in were dirty and grimy. So maybe they didn't. He shrugged, walking behind the counter, flicking his hand out at the cash register, making it click to life. He looked around, satisfied, clicked his fingers, unarming and unlocking the doors. He took up a glass and started wiping it clean, waiting for the first customer of the day.

Chris had been completely rushed off his feet that day. He was exhausted. Good thing he had more staff. He'd just hired more to take on the Christmas crowds. He looked at the clock on the wall.
"s**t!" he said, hurrying to remove his apron and clean himself up a bit. The Hogwarts Express would be coming in soon and he was going to go and pick up Ceallach, seeing as she didn't really know anyone here, and she didn't know where she was! Couldn't have a pretty girl like her getting lost in London. Although, she could Apparate, but it wasn't exactly safe for her too, she could get caught. He turned to the employee closes to him.
"Kya, I'm off. I'll be back, just going to pick someone up from the train? Think you guys can manage not to burn down the pub while I'm gone?" he joked. He knew they were all extremely capable of running the place for a bit while he was out.
Kya just laughed. "Yes Chris, of course. Don't worry yourself," she said, tapping his cheek. They played little games, but since this Ceallach had come along, he'd been different. She shrugged and turned away to serve to customer practically yelling for her attention.
Chris nodded, shrugging his shoulders, then walked out from behind the bar, Apparating out of the room.

Krys apparated into the entrance area and smiled happily. She was finally of age, her transferrance behind her and she felt incredible. She'd passed her apparition test easily. Kit had made her laugh by telling her her test was to apparate into the kitchen and come back with a cup of coffee. She'd done it easily, giving herself extra brownie points by making it an Irish Coffee and Kit had passed her immediately.
Now it was time to have a little fun. She went to the bar and smiled at Chris.
"Hi Chris. Guess what. It's my birthday and I want a double firewhisky." she said with a laugh.

Angel walked into the Leaky Cauldron and spotted Krys sitting by the bar. She felt grateful that she had been invited to help her celebrate, even though she was one of the youngest of Krys' friends. "Happy Birthday Krys," she said giving her a hug. "Have you had a good day so far?"

Nothing like starting off small!" he laughed, walking back behind the bar. He fixed her drink and handed it to her. "That one's on the house. My brithday present!" he said, smiling happily at her. |

Angel's attention was turned as Gabbie came in and she returned the hug with a smile. "I'm great. How are you and the baby doing? You look really good!" She didn't feel sorry for Gabbie, because she'd make a really good mother. Turning to the bartender she smiled, "Could I have pumpkin juice please. Unfortunately I'm not allowed firewhisky yet." Just less than a year to go and then she could have some legally. Gabbie smiled. "I'm fine. The baby's fine, starting to become a bit of a nuisnace though," she laughed. "Thank you." She had tried to look a lot better than she had since holidays started. So she was happy she'd succeeded. She turned to Chris and smiled. "Heya Chris! Can I get a Butterbeer?" she asked. |

Danika Apparated into the bar and smiled, walking up to the bar, up behind Krysta. She hugged her friend from behind and laughed. "Hey Krys! Happy Birthday! How are you today? She couldn't imagine how Gabbie could deal with school, her engagement and her pregnancy but she did and Angel was really impressed. |

Krys was a bit taken aback as so many people seemed to appear at once. She hugged everyone in turn. She was so glad to see everyone. She was feeling great and was looking forward to a fun night.
"Wow, thanks Chris!" she cried in delight as he gave away so many drinks. She leant over the bar and kissed him on the cheek. She turned to Danika and gave her an extra long and tight hug.
"I'm glad you came." she said warmly. "I was afraid you wouldn't." she admitted. "And I feel amazing. Thanks for asking. I haven't seen Ceallach, but she said she was coming."
She turned to Gabbie and beamed. "You look fantastic. Thanks for coming out, I appreciate it. But if it starts to get too much I'm not going to be offended if you want to go home, ok?" she said kindly, kissing her on the cheek with a smile. She looked around at her friends grinning.
"Angel! It's good to see you. Wow your hair looks gorgeous." she commented, playing with her pretty sandy locks.
"I can't believe so many of you have come. You guys really know how to make a girl feel special." She looked at all their faces but noticed some were missing. Bella, Sam and Ceallach weren't here yet and neither was Kelly...but somethng told her Kelly would not be making an appearance. Maybe that was for the best, although she missed her friend terribly. She smiled at them all, a warm fuzzy feeling in her tummy.
