Andi sighed, shrugged her shoulders as Raven bluffed her off again. "Okay." Shaking her head, she stood up, picking up her phone out of her bag and walking back out onto the balcony, closing the sliding door behind her. She looked down at the phone. There was a message from ... Nate?! What in the world! Did he bloody know she'd been thinking about him!

She sighed, and pressed call on the phone, and let it dial his number and ring. He picked it up on the third ring.
"Andi? Baby!" he said excitedly.
"Hey Nate. What's up?" She couldn't help but be happy talking to him.
"Meh... bored as f**k hey. Mum's been screaming like a banshee all week, at me and dad. Just needed to talk to you... I miss you."
"I miss you too," she sighed. "What's got your mum in a tizz?"
"She wants a holiday too. She's jealous your dad's taking you guys on a holiday and my dadd isn't taking her anywhere. They went to Hawaii for 2 weeks like 4 months ago... nothing's ever enough for dear old mum."
Andi laughed. "Sounds like Vicky. Oh well... this trip's not really been that eventful, to be honest. We went to the Art Gallery today. I saw these BEAUTIFUL scupltures. They were absolutely amazing!"
"Did you go all wierd? I think it's cute when you're like that," Nate replied. "Wish I could have been there. Would have loved to have seen them."
Andi smiled. That's why Nate and her were a good match, they liked all the same things, and all that. "Yes, I went all wierd... and it's not cute, it's embarassing. I don't think my friend liked me sending more time with the sculptures than her, she walked off, and I had to go find her."
"Oh well..." Nate was silent for a moment, and it was like Andi could feel the memories through the phone, over the body of water that separated them. She sighed. "Anyway... just needed to hear your voice, I guess." he said eventually.
"Yeah.... Nate, I love you."
"Love you too, babycakes." Andi heard a woman screaming in the background. "s**t, it's the Banshee again. Babe, I gotta go. I'll talk to you again soon. Promise."
"Okay. See ya. Say hi to everyone for me."
"Sure think. Love you." He blew her a kiss through the phone.
"Love you too." She replied with a kiss of her own, then they hung up. She sighed, putting her phone down on the table.

She was in deep s**t!

Raven rolled over on her side then closed her eyes until she heard Andi talking, she wasn't intentionally eavesdropping but what she heard just made her frustrated; it took all of her strength to hold back the tears that were welling up in her eyes. Maybe this whole thing with Andi was a mistake, she began to question whether or not she should have even brought up her feelings; it would have saved her all this pain. She felt the cold tears rolling down her cheeks and hitting her arm, this was just all to familiar to her now.

Andi picked up her phone, and turned around to come back inside. She opened the door, and stopped. Raven was crying. s**t. "Rave... what's wrong?" she asked, walking over to the girl.

"It's..nothing." Raven said as the tears continued to roll down her cheeks, she brought her knees up and hugged them to her chest; there was no way she was about to go off and say 'I heard your conversation on the phone' cause that would just create more chaos and frustration.

"Rave... you're crying. It's not nothing..." Then, Andi stopped. "You heard me on the phone, didn't you. Oh my god... Raven, I'm so sorry."

Raven sighed then wiped the tears from her eyes, there was no point in shedding anymore tears over this cause it wouldn't make her feel any better. "If you knew what I felt right now.. you'd be quite upset too; how is that supposed to make me feel, hearing you telling someone else you love them?" she shook her head then pulled the blankets up over her.

Andi groaned. "I closed the door!" she exclaimed. "I didn't think you'd be able to hear me!" This was ridiculous. It got even worse when Raven pulled the sheet over her head. "Really mature, Raven. Really mature." She sighed, shaking her head.

Raven pulled the sheet back from over her head to look at Andi, why did this have to be so difficult? She was trying to make things work and yet in the end she f**ked everything up. "I'm sorry for overreacting here but you've got to understand when I'm coming from; I'm used to being hurt and when you came along, I thought that things might be different for a change, maybe things could actually work out."

"And I was honest with you. I'm damaged goods. If you want me, you have to wait for me to be fixed again. If I hadn't already told you about Nate, and you heard that conversation, then sure, be upset... but you already knew. I told you... and now you're acting like this." Andi sighed. This was stupid.

Raven sat up in bed, she thought carefully about what she wanted to say so she didn't make this any worse. "Okay, I will wait for you. Maybe, it's a good idea if we spend some time apart just to stop this nonsense from going any farther, I know if I keep running my mouth the way I am, then I've pretty much guaranteed that I ruined my chance with you."

Andi nodded. To be entirely honest, she was exactly sure what she felt for Ravne. She knew she liked her, but anything more? She wasn't sure at the moment. It was obvious though, that Raven liked her a lot more than Andi liked her. "I'm sorry, I really am." She sighed and sat down on her own bed.

"I know, I forgive you. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'll head out on the balcony for a while." Raven said as she grabbed her diary from the floor then slid off the bed and headed out onto the balcony, resting her head into her hands. Maybe all was lost with Andi, maybe this just was all a waste of time in the end, she opened her diary then began writing right after the previous entry.

Andi sighed. "Okay," she replied, and flopped back onto her bed. Her phone chirped and she grabbed it, sighed ass she saw the message.

I really enjoyed talking to you today. Mum and dad say hi. I love you so much babycakes. Nate *kiss*

She pressed reply.

I love you too. xxx

Why was life so bloody hard all the time? Why couldn't things just go smoothly?

Raven reached into her pocket and took out her mp3 player, she turned it on then flipped through the songs until she stopped on one that seemed to fit what she was feeling now. Putting one of the earbuds into her ears, she cleared her throat and began to sing*..

Andi was still messaging Nate, feeling really guilty for it, but unable to stop, when she heard Raven singing from the balcony. The song was sad... and it made Andi sighed. It was all her fault. Her phone beeped again and she looked down at it. She felt like she was cheating, on both of them, and she wasn't even tecchnically dating either! If it was a guy, they woul dhave left her by now, and let her be, dwelling on her relationship with Nate. But Raven was a girl... and therefore a lot more emotional. She messaged Nate back, and stared up at the ceiling, trying to sort it out.
