"Kia Ora!" We're A Long Way From Home

Raven looked out at the view with such a spiteful glance, she had a feeling coming here wasn't going to be good for her but yet she ignored that and look what happened; everything was just so f**king confusing now. She wished she could turn back the hands of time to right before she told Andi how she felt, it would have saved her all this trouble and stupidity.

Andi sighed, and rolled over so her back was to the balcony. Her phone was still chirping, and she didn't want to stop her conversation with Nate. They hadn't had a conversation in months, and their voice convo had been cut short by his mother. She was relishing talking to him again.

Raven looked down at the ground, everything was supposed to have been perfect; Andi should have been hers already but unfortunately that wasn't the way life worked, no matter how much she wanted someone she usually ended up back in square one all by herself, forced to rebuild the pieces. Maybe, maybe it would best if she left Andi here alone while Raven returned back home; that would solve everything; Andi would end up going back with Nate and well..she'd end up picking up the pieces and trying again during the coming term.

Instead of chirping, Andi's phone actually rang this time.
"Mum's gone to lie down," was the hello she got. She chuckled.
"Well that's good. Is she really that knarky about not going on holidays?"
"Yeaps! She's a bit of a snob, remember that." Nate stopped talking, as a male voice came through the phone. "Who you talking to?" "Andi, dad" "Tell her I say hi... and we all miss her." "I will" "Okay... I'll leave you alone."[/i]
"Dad says hi."
"I heard. He sounds heartbroken you're occupied! Go and talk to him. He's probably down about your mum yelling at him."
"Eh, he'll deal... he's been dealing for 20 years. He can last a little longer. And 'sides... I wanna talk to you. We haven't spoke in ages!"
"Nate... we've been talking all day," she chuckled, teasingly.
"You know what I mean," he grumbled. "Still got that sense of humour I see."
"Yeah... not even the drab Scottish winter can take that away," she laughed.
Then, she heard Nate sigh. "What's up Nate?"
"Come home to me, Andi. I've tried to be with other girls. The longest I got was a month with Caitee... and that's only because I was too scared to dump her, just in case she killed herself or something. I know it's just as hard for you... I can hear it. Come home."
Andi groaned. "Nate... I gotta finish school. Woolongong isn't gonna let me back in. And I don't think there's ANY way mum's going to let me drop out of Hogwarts. She thinks that place is like heaven or something. If I could, you know I'd be back in a heartbeat."
"When do you get back from Kiwi Land?"
"In time to go back to school...."
"f**k... Andi... why did you do this to me?"
"Nate... you're being silly. You know exactly why I did it."
"Just tell me I've still got a chance... that when you've graduated there's a chance..."
"Babe, you've always got a chance. Always have, always will."
She could almost hear his smile through the phone. "Good."
Andi smiled. "Well... I should probably go, stop ignoring my friend. I love you, so much, you have no idea."
"I love you too... probably more."
"Don't even start," she chuckled.
"Okay, I love you equally."
"Good. Okay, I'll talk to you soon."
"Yeaps."
They blew kisses to each other then hung up.

Raven rested her head down on her hands and sighed, she began to realize how stupid and childish she'd been acting over his whole situation; she always seemed to make any situation worse by saying things that totally weren't necessary and just bringing a bunch of unneeded drama. Well there wasn't much she could do to fix what she did here, which seemed to frustrate her to no end but there was no real point in being outside anymore. After she looked down at her watch and saw the time, she got up then headed back inside. "Oh..hey, listen I want to apoligize for how I've been acting lately."

Andi looked up as she sheard Raven coming back inside. The other girl spoke, and Andi shrugged. "Rave, I understand, really. I shouldn't have led you on like that. Uhm... I really do like you, and I hope you can forgive me."

Raven sat down on the bed and rested her mp3 player down beside her for the moment, she listened to what Andi had to say and let it all sink in before she said something that made everything worse. "I forgive you this time, I just can't take when someone plays around with my feelings." she put one of her headphones in her ears and put her mp3 player back on, putting the shuffle on.

Andi felt like she was on trial or something. It was pretty stupid really. She watched as Raven put her earphones on and turned her mp3 player on, finalising the conversation. Andi sighed aggresively and turned over again, back to Raven. Was this how their friendship was going to be from now on? Raven deciding she couldn't face something and shutting her down? It was extremely immature, to be frank. Girls were sooo emotional! And where'd all the playing around with her feelings crap come from? Andrea had done NO SUCH THING! She did like Raven enough to try to be together, and she had tried... but Nate was always in her head, so she'd been honest and told the other girl what was going on! No playing around with feelings happened at all!

This was WAAAAAY too much work... much more than it was worth.

Raven looked over at Andi and sighed slightly, she was just trying so hard to be perfect that she ended up screwing everything up in the end and if everything kept going in the same direction, it'll all come crashing down. "Maybe..this won't exactly work out after all, what ever I seem to do..I just f**k it all up. I just try so hard to be perfect all the time that I end up destroying relationships and friendships that I worked so hard to build. I do like you Andi, I really do.. but maybe just being friends is best, that is if we can even salvage what's left of this"

Andi rolled over onto her back as Raven started talking. She didn't actually look at the girl, showing her what it was like when the other party was being childish. "Yeah, I guess," she murmured, then rolled back over again. Then she sighed. She wasn't like this. She sat up, and turned to Raven. "I don't wanna lose you as a friend. And, perfect doesn't exist, Raven. It never has, and it never will."

Raven frowned when Andi rolled over, so this was exactly what it felt like when she acted absolutely ridiculous; it was not cool whatsoever. "Well, I'm surprised that you still want to be friends with me; after you've seen what I can be like honestly." she said with a slight sigh then shrugged. "Evidentally, I've not found that out..maybe that's why I try so hard and everything ends up falling to pieces." She got up and kissed Andi on the cheek then went back to lie down on her bed, staring up at the ceiling.

Raven spoke, and Andi listened. This girl had SERIOUS problems! She sighed as the other girl kissed her cheek, and she watched Raven lay back down. Sighing, she too lay back on her own bed. This was ridiculous. Abso-f**king-lutely ridiculous!

Raven sighed as Andi completely shut down on her, evidentally there wasn't much of a point of her being here anymore if this stupidity was going to continue. "Maybe, it's best if I just pack my stuff and go back home, evidentally we can't be around each other without an argument or drama happening." she said then got up and began gathering her things and packing them back into her suitcase; this was the only option left for her even though she felt like it wasn't right to leave.

Andi sighed. "I don't know. We just have to try and be friends. Right now, we're both so annoyed at the other thing, that wee're not even considering that." She turned her head to see Raven getting up. She sat up and watched the other girl. "Raven, I'm so sorry. I really am."

Raven frowned a little bit as she listened to what Andi had to say, she was right after all but it was just confusing to her. She stopped what she was doing so she could reconsider this before she made another mistake. "I know you are, I have to apoligize for the way I acted, I just don't understand why this had to be so difficult."
