"Kia Ora!" We're A Long Way From Home

Breakfast was ordered and they sat at a table. 10 minutes later, Raven's food was there, but Andi had to wait another 5 for hers. As she began to eat, she looked at her parents, who were dying to go into the actual gallery. She swallowed some toast. "Go... we'll be fine, we'll find you later, I've got my phone."
Her parents smiled, and got up. "Be good," her mother said as they left.
Andi sighed. "Thank god for that," she sighed as she continued eating her breakfast at her own pace.

"My god I thought they'd never leave honestly." Raven said then chuckled and took a sip of her coffee, maybe now they could actually end this torture for a bit at least until they had to go find Andi's parents; which didn't have to be for a bit anyways. Maybe this day wasn't going to be so bad after all but she still wanted it to be the night time for obvious reasons.

Andi ate a little more of her breakfast, very aware that her andRaven were actually alone, well without her parents at least. She took a drink from her apple juice, then looked up at Raven with a cheeky smile on her face. She beckoned the other girl with a finger.

Raven saw Andi beckoning her with one finger, so she got up from where she was sitting and headed over to the other girl with a slight smirk. "So how long do you think we have before we have to go find your parents?" she asked in almost a whisper, she just wanted to know so they wouldn't get caught.

Andi smiled as Raven moved over to her. "Eh, they know how long I take at breakfast... it's the most important meal of the day, remember," she chuckled, before she put one hand behind the other girl's head, bringing them together, and pressed her lips to hers.

Raven chuckled at Andi's comment then kissed her back and rested her hands on the other girl's hips for now at least, now this was exactly why she couldn't have waited for the night to arrive, that would have been utter torture which she wasn't sure if she could handle.

Andi felt the other girl's hands at her hips, and she smiled against Raven's lips, sliding both hands up to cup the other girls head and face in her tiny hands. This was nice. Nicer than her greasy breakfast. Andi decided to brave a little push, and ran her tongue lightly over the other girl's lips.

Raven blushed slightly as she felt Andi's tongue running over her lips, she definitely enjoyed that feeling, it sent a shiver through her body. She decided to up the ante a little bit and ran her tongue along the other girl's, feeling goosebumps pop up all over her skin.

Andi smiled, feeling Raven's response. She passionately ran her tongue over the other girl's, closing her eyes to fully enjoy the feeling. She was really getting into it when...
"These people are torn, wild and bereft, assassin is born..."
erupted from her phone. She groaned as she pulled away, and reached into her bag for her phone. Her mum. "s**t."
She pressed accept. "Hey mum," she said, trying to be cheery into the phone.
"Where are you?"
"Still having breakfast."
"Are you almost finished..."
"Well..."
"Good, there are these stunning sculptures we want you to see. We know you prefer sculptures to paintings. And these ones, well they are to be seen to believed!"
"Okay mum, we'll be there asap... wait... where are you?"
"Second floor, by the.... uhm... there's a food cart... just follow your nose, we're by that."
"Okay, we'll be there." And she hung up.
"We gotta go, mum wants to show me some scculptures. I love scuulptures, but right now.. I say bad timing." She leaned forward to plant a quick kiss on Raven's lips, before scarfing down the rest of her now cool breakfast. "Come on," she grumbled, standing p and taking the other girl's hand, heading for the lifts.

Raven groaned as she heard Andi's phone ring, now that definitely was not fair; but she'd have to deal with it for now at least. "Those sculptures better be worth interrupting the fun here" she said with a slight sigh as she put her free hand into her pocket, she looked down at her watch and saw exactly how much time had passed; it wasn't exactly a lot but hopefully the day went by faster.

"Mmmhm," Andi agreed. Though, she probably wasn't as annoyed as Raven was. She really did want to see those sculptures. They got in the lift with about ten other people, then got out at the second floor, and looked around for the food cart. But, Andi saw the sculptures before she saw the cart or her parents.
"Wow," she murmured, slowing her pace slightly like she was in awe of the beauty of them. They were abstract, but had all the swirls and designs of the Maori people that characterised New Zealand art. And, Andi was in love with them.
"See, I told you you'd like them," her mother murmured excitedly.
"Yeah mum... wow."

Raven raised her eyebrows when she saw the sculptures, they were actually worth interrupting what was going on downstairs; she usually wasn't a big fan of sculptures but these definitely caught her attention and made her reconsider her position when it came to that medium of art. She'd never seen such intricate and interesting designs on a sculpture before which would probably have explained why it intrigued her.

Andi looked around, and spotted a guard, and asked if she could touch the sculptures. He chuckled and said they had a lot of people as that, and that yes she could indeed touch them, but carefully. She assured him she wouldn't do a thing to harm the works of art and he nodded, letting her go.
She came back to the sculptures and ran the very tips of her fingers over the stone the art had been sculptued from, over the intricate engravings and embossings. She had almost forgot anyone else there. Art was a magic in itself, and it had Andi entranced.

Raven chuckled slightly as she noticed that Andi had to go and touch the sculptures, she was becoming quickly bored and just wanted to find something else to do which wasn't going to happen so she shoved her other hand in her pocket then began to wander around, giving a brief glance at a few of the pieces until she found something that seemed to at least interest her, this was nothing like the Irish art that she had seen throughout her childhood.

Andi was still entranced with the pieces. People had actually stopped to watch her handling the pieces as delicately as she was. The security guard she'd spoken to was in awe. He'd expected her to be rough like everyother kid that asked. But no, she genuinely want to feel it. She moved between them, looking like a kid in rocky forest, being so small as she was, the pieces were taller than her, and her eyes were sort of glazed over as if she was in a trance as her fingers ran lightly over the rocks.
She was eventually bought uot of this daze by her mother's hand on her arm. "Honey, Raven's bored I think, go entertain her."
"But mum..." She looked longingly back at the sculptures, still oblivious to the people still milling around.
"Andi, it's not nice to leave your friend."
"You're the one that bought me up here! You know what I'm like with things like this!" This is what happened after she went into a daze like that. if she was bought out of it quickly, she snapped. Now, she was aware of the people around and was suddenly embarassed.
"Fine, I'll go find her," she murmured, trying to get out of the proverbial spotlight. She wandered around, exhausted until she found her friend. "Hey, sorry about that. I get a little funny around sculptures, they're my thing."
