Second Floor Corridor

"Nice to meet you Professor" Amanda said with a smile. "I've transferred from a private Witchcraft academy in Canada, I'm a former Prefect and quite a brilliant witch for my year" She said, then smirked. Course, this was a Professor, so she'd have to be nice, she couldn't be bad although she really wanted to cause trouble now.

"Canada!" exclaimed Kitania. "We don't get many transfers from there. Is it very different to Hogwarts? I imagine it must be." she asked, genuinely interested.
She caught Amanda's smirk and raised a bemused eyebrow. She knew knew that look.
"I see." she commented. "I'm gonna have to keep an eye on you aren't I?" she asked with a dry grin.

"Course, I'm more known for causing trouble than anything else. I was a Prefect who managed to get a lot of people in trouble rather than getting in trouble myself. I've had my share of fun like sleeping around with different people and just causing all sorts of trouble" She said with a deadly smirk playing about her blood red lips.

"Hogwarts is much different than where I transferred from, here I have more freedom to go outside and such during my free time." She said before adding. "Oh you may just have to keep more than one eye on me".

Kit raised a surprised eyebrow. It was not what Amanda was saying: there was nothing mch that shcocked Kitania about these kids. It was more that Amanda seemed comfortable telling a teacher all of this.
"Well we try to treat you like young adults than kids. If you put restrictions on people their automatic reaction is to rebel against it anyway. All I'll say is try to be subtle." she suggested with a grin.

"Oh I'm subtle with my pranks, oh and don't worry Professor, I promise I won't prank you, I have my limits. She said with a wink and a smirk. She stood up off the ground, holding the guitar in her right hand.

"I've come from a family where my parents just don't notice my existance, so I take care of myself, I've basically raised myself. And I always found rules to be such a pain in the behind that honestly, I follow my own rules, which are no rules at all" She said with a smile.

Kit laughed
"Yeah there's a lot of that going on around here. The Prefects aren't much better. Still, no deaths yet this year so we should jus be grateful the students are sticking to sex and alcohol and nothing worse." she said slightly formidably. She knew things were a lot worse than that, but she wasn't about to advertise that to a student.

"Ah yes, I've heard about the activities of some students here, frankly I'm surprised that rules don't cover that. Though students would still rebel against the rules and do it anyways. As long as no one gets hurt, then things should be good" She said with a smile. She wondered what it would be like to be a professor here, maybe that would be what she would strive to become.

Kit snorted slightly.
"Technically the rules do cover that. It just goes unchecked a lot. For one thing this lot are a whiley bunch and it's hard to catch them, and for another..." she trailed off. How should put it? She couldn't exactly say that most of the staff didn't care and that the headmistress cared even less. "...well in general they're a good bunch. Most of us try to give them a break."

"Hmm..quite interesting" Amanda said, then laughed. She sat back down and played her guitar, playing a bit darker melody this time. "If you're ever looking for someone to catch people doing things that they aren't supposed to be doing then, let me know, I'll gladly do it without having anyone know that I caught them doing something they weren't supposed to be doing in the first place" She said, then smirked devillishly.

Kit laughed again and shook her head.
"That's ok. There's not a lot goes on around here that we don't find out about. And believe me, someone will catch on to you and that won't make you very popular now will it?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. "There's more than one student around here with mind-reading capabilities. A snitch wouldn't last long. Trust me." she explained. "Thanks for the offer, though."

"As you wish Professor, course you are right. I wouldn't want to tarnish my image as a troublemaker after all" She said with a smile. She continued to play the same song on her guitar, her fingers playing about the frets of the guitar.

Raven headed into the corridor, wanting some peace and quiet to think. She set down her bag, sitting down on the floor. She took out her notebook and a self inking quill, and finished off a song that she was writing but never had the time to finish it.

[Nathalie Desjardins]

Nathalie hurried along the corridor, searching in her bag as she went. She was sure she'd put her essay in, but she couldn't find it. She was so busy looking through her bag that as she rounded the corner, she didn't notice someone sitting on the floor, and she tripped over them and fell flat on her face, hearing her ink bottles shatter in her bag as she went down.

Raven noticed someone trip over her and looked over at the girl, hearing the ink bottles break. She stood up and picked the girl up off of the floor. "Are you alright?" She asked curiously.

Nathalie climbed to her feet, and picked up her bag. There was ink all over everything. Sighing, she took out her wand, and cleaned up the mess. "It's alright now." She looked at Raven. "What are you doing here anyway?" she asked. It seemed a strange place to be sitting.
