The Ballroom

The large oak doors, leading to the Great Hall, have been covered in gold, elaborately carved with dancing figures. As the doors swing open, you see the Great Hall is completely redecorated. The four house tables, the staff table, and all the banners are gone. Anything that had made it look remotely like an eating hall had been removed. It had been redone in a traditional Masquerade theme. Everything was gilded gold, with pale pastel colours adorning the room. Ice and white roses adorn each table, which are situated around the room, all covered with the palest of blue tablecloths, as are the chairs. In each corner of the room, are food and beverage tables, fountains of punch sitting in the middle, and tiers of cakes, decorated with pastel coloured icing, and other foods, making it all look very Marie Antoinette-esque. At the back of the hall, is a large stage area, where the band has set up, and is currently playing a melodic, flowing ballad. The real music is coming later. In the middle of the hall, surrounded by the tables, is a gigantic dance floor. The floor is white, with swirls of ice through it.

So, come in, take a seat, have something to eat, and drink, have a dance. All in all, have fun!

Danika and Gabriella walked into the Great Hall, arm-in-arm, gasping appreciatively. It was beautiful! They looked at each other, then headed straight for one of the food tables, where people had already started to congregate.

Caeleb led Nathalie into the Great Hall, feeling very proud of the girl on his arm. Yes, she was not Dara, but then who was? He was extremely happy to be here with her. Even Caeleb had to stop with admiration as he saw the Ballroom.
"Wow, they really went to town on this. It looks amazing." he exclaimed, looking at Nat and smiling. "Would you like a drink?" he asked, nodding at the huge fountains of drink dotted arond the room.

[Ceallach o Raghallaigh]

Ceallach walked into the ballroom, looking around, gazing awestruck around the hall. It was beautiful. She put on her mask, and walked over to one of the food tables, and was immediately engaged in a conversation with a very good looking guy. She had a feeling she wasn't going to be lonely tonight after all!

Kildara entered the ballroom, hugging Michael's arm affectionately, looking around at her design. It had come to fruition really well! She smiled up at Michael, who's hulking 6'4" frame dwarfed her, but her dress made up for her lack of height!
"Drink?" Michael asked her.
"Please," she breathed. She was nervous. Michael looked smug. She slapped his arm and he grinned down at her, leaning down to kiss her brotherly on the head. That was the extent that their relationship had ever gone. The siblings neither of them had ever had. But, for the show, they had to appear more. This was going to be hard!
Kildara looked around, her gaze falling on Caeleb, and her heart pulled. He looked gorgeous. So did Nathalie, to be honest. She sighed, causing Michael to follow her gaze, then rub her arm consolingly. They reached another drink table, and Michael got them both drinks. Tehy turned, Michael hugging Dara to his side as they looked out over the ballroom, watching the preceedings as people started filing in.

Nathalie nodded. "It's beautiful!" She was aware of people looking at her in surprise; the quiet little Ravenclaw girl on the arm of the Slytherin prince! "Yes, I'd love a drink. I wonder if they have something lemon-flavoured." Lemon was one of her favourite flavours.

[Belle Rochford]

Belle walked into the Hall, beside Zach, absolutely awestruck. The hall was beautiful! So was everyone. Her eyes fell on a woman who was very familiar. And she was gorgeous, as usual. The Rochfords and the Snapes worked very closely together for everything, combining their fortunes for things, etc. She sighed, turning her attention back to Zach. "Thanks for inviting me," she said softly, leaning up and kissing him on the cheek.

Zach looked around, impressed. He'd never seen the Great Hall look like this. He smiled as Belle kissed him, just below his mask, and leaned closer to kiss her lips. "Thank you for accepting." He slid his arm round her waist. "Want a drink? Or something to eat?"

Chris managed to give Raven a nervous smile as they walked through the doors of the Great Hall. He was glad to see there were already quite a few people here. He'd have felt even more nervous if they'd been the only ones there. "Isn't this amazing? It totally doesn't look like the Hall."

"I know, this is just absolutely beautiful" She said, smiling. Raven could tell that Chris was nervous, and she wasn't sure what she could do, well.. without resorting to kissing him which would make him more nervous. "You want to go and take a seat or something?" She asked and smiled.

Sam led Bella into the Hal, and stopped dead inside. The whole time he'd been standing in the Entrance Hall, he didn't even think about sneaking a look. It was beautiful. And Bella's dress matched the room! He smiled and looked down at her, smirking slightly. At his height ... perfect! "Do you want a drink?" he asked, looking over to one of the drink tables. His mouth dropped again, but he very quickly composed himself, when he saw Dara. He looked back down at Bella, then led her over to the table Dara was standing in front of, very cosy with her date. He raised an eyebrow, leaning down to whisper in Bella's ear. "I thought she was with Caeleb?" he enquired. Dara herself had told him. By accident, of course.

[Max Randolf]

Max led Annie into the Hall, grinning at the spectacle that used to be the eating hall! Dara had good taste! "Drink?" he asked Annie, looking down at her, smiling. He felt like the luckiest man alive to her on his arm. Leading her over to the table where Sam and Bella were, he slid his arm around her so it was around her waist, and he pulled her into his side.

Bella gasped as she entered the hall with Sam. It was so beautifully breathtaking, and resembled nothing like the place where'd they eaten breakfast earlier that day. "Hey love, my face is here," she said noticing where his eyes were on her body when he looked down. Maybe the dress showed off too much of her assets! "Yes please," she said accepting the drinks part as she realised she hadn't drunk anything for hours. Her mouth dropped open slightly as she saw Kildara with another guy. Who knew the headmistress had that body underneath her robes; apart from Sam of course. She was glad he'd composed himself though, the small inkling of doubt had gone away when he paid attention to her again. And why were they going towards them?! "Think about it though, if she was with Caeleb then it wouldn't be smiled upon by the goveners, so it's a lot easier to pretend that they're not and then meet each other later," she replied softly. She wondered how sam knew, but also knew not to ask questions. "You look handsome Max," she said seeing Annie and Max walking over to them, "And Annie I've already said you look fabulous. Then again I said that when you found the dress as well."

Annie smiled and looked around the hall, it looked great. She snapped out of it when Max asked if she wanted a drink, "yeah, sure" she answered. She walked over with him with his arm around her waist until they stood near Bella and Sam.

Danika looked up as another couple came to stand beside her and Gabriella. She recognised Chris and gave him a smile. Then she looked at his date. Was that - "Raven?" she asked. "You're back?" She smiled. "Wow!"
