Arithmancy Lesson Two

Kildara walked into the classroom, waved her hand and all the windows opened, bathing the classroom in the natural light of the sun. She walked over to her desk and put her book and notes down on top and flicked her hand out at the black board. The following appeared.

Arithmancy Lesson Two
Soul's Urge and Personality Numbers

She turned from the board and walked to her chair, sitting down in it, her dark green robes billowing, waiting for her students to arrive.

Kelly walked into the room, keeping her head low. She sat to the left in the front row, desperately avoiding Kildara's look. "Good morning, professor Snape." she said in a quiet voice.

Danika walked in casually then stiffened when she noticed the tenseness of the scene. "Morning Professor," she said and sat next to Kelly, putting a hand on her arm in greeting.

Kildara watched the girls walk in. "Morning Miss Black, Miss Peverell. How are you both today?" she asked, asking more than one thing in that question.

Bella walked into the arithmancy classroom and smiled slightly. Even if Dani had hurt Raven, she and Kelly still looked good together as well. "Good morning professor," she said sitting down at the first free seat. There was a bit of hostility around there, but hopefully it would go soon enough. "Hey Kel, Dani," she said smiling at them both.

Amelina walked in, noticing some people had already arrived.
"Hey Dani..Kel..Bella" She said, looking at each of them in turn.
She looked around for a seat, wondering helplessly who to sit next to. Bella seemed her best option
"Hey. How are you?" She asked, wondering whether she should move or what.

Danika looked up at Kildara and smiled. "I'm fine thankyou Professor. How are you?" she said. Then turning to Bella and Amelina she said, "Hi Bella, Mel." She gave them both a large smile then turned back to Kelly. She so far hadn't spoke.

Kildara smiled at Danika then turned to the others. "Morning Miss Peters, Miss Alibrandi. How are you?" she asked happily.

"Morning Miss" Amelina said, returning Dani's smile.
Amelina looked up and grinned
"Good. You miss?" She asked.

"I'm fine thank you professor. How are you?" Bella replied smiling back. It was nice to see someone was as happy as herself this morning. "Hey Mel, I'm fine thank you. What about you? Are you okay?" She knew that Mel was close friends with Andrew and that she was also Italian like her, that's why she liked talking to her occasionally.

Amelina looked up, her nickname seemed to be taking on.
"I'm alright. I guess...it'd been an interesting week" She said, she was hard pressed for words.
"What about you?" She asked, she was actually concerned. Amelina mentally shook herself, this was getting weird. She'd never been so compassionate in her entire life. First Raven then Andrew and now Bella. Next thing she was going to be organising World Youth Day. She shrugged it off, she was going to be sensitive this year. She was. And caring and she was going to live up to her "Gryffindor" attributes.

Kelly looked at Dani as she felt her hand on hers. She smiled "Hi, Dani". She turned to the professor "I'm fine, thank you." She nodded to Bella and Amelina as they walked in.

Danika looked up as Kelly spoke. She flashed her a smile and stroked her hand softly.

Bella nodded, "Interesting is definitely one way of putting it." She had hated this week so far, what with getting yelled at by Andrew and hearing that Raven and Danika had ended because Kelly had a major arguemet. "I'm fine I think," she replied smiling. "Just still a bit upset about Andrew, but I'm going to find him after class to apologise." It felt a bit weird telling Mel everything, but she had to tell someone and telling Sam would probably just start something. "Oh I forgot to ask you, how was your part of Italy over the summer?"

"Yeah...talk about. One huge mess....." She trailed off, thinking.
Mel could feel her uncertainty about revealing so much to her, but she didn't press her.
"I think he needs that. At least from you" She said. He was still down on himself for yelling at her that day.
"What peeling tomatoes for Cecilia's Day? Great. You should visit some time. It's tons of fun, and the South has the cuter boys" She said with a wink, "Not that you'd be needing them with Sam and all" She laughed softly.

Kildara stood up and walked to the front of her desk.
"Okay then. Let's begin. Can anyone tell me how to find your Heart's Desire or Soul's Urge Number?" she asked. Shouldn't be too hard.

Kelly silenty raised her hand "You can find out your Soul's Urge Number by using the full name noted on your birth certificate, lay out your name and assign the appropriate number to each vowel using the chart given in Chapter Two of this text. Figure out each name separately, then add the reduced total of each name - first, middle(s), and last, then reduce that number to its single digit root number." she answered amlost completely from the textbook.
