Flying Lesson #2

Magesta walked out onto the pitch carrying the school brooms under one arm. She looked up at the sky and saw it was getting a little cloudy. If it rains... She sighed and laid the brooms out on the pitch while she waited for her students to arrive.

Mel walked onto the pitch spotting Professor Lockwood.
"Afternoon Professor.." She said, and turned awkwardly towards the castle waiting for everyone to come.

Raven walks out onto the pitch and notices Mel already there. "Good afternoon Professor Lockwood" She said, standing near one of the brooms.

Amelina turned at the voice "Hey Raven" She smiled at the girl.

"Hey Mel, how's things with you?" Raven asked, smiling softly.

Mel frowned briefly before adjusting her face to flawless indifference.
"I'm good. Better now that I'm outside" She returned the smile and her thoughts wandered back. Everyone seemed to be asking her how she was, like she was a fragile child in need of attention and caring. She dismissed the thought, rolling her eyes inwardly.

Danika and Sam walked outside, their brooms over their shoulders. They didn't like riding the school brooms. They prefered their Firebolts. They were talking animatedly, as they did a lot these days. Sam said something and Danika took offense throwing herself at him, wrapping an arm around his neck and trying to pull him down. He responded by picking her up and carrying her to the Pitch. He put her down when they got there and she punched him hard on the arm

Danika looked up at him and scowled. "That wasn't nice," she said, trying not to laugh. She turned to Lockwood and smiled. "Hey Professor. Looks like rain," she said, looking up at the sky. "Hey Mel, Raven," she said smiling.

Sam shrugged his shoulders. "It was fun though," he said. "Hey Professor," he said, smiling at Lockwood. He turned to the others and gave them his best pretty boy smile. "Ladies," he said, nodding his head slightly.

Andrew walked out onto the pitch smiling but as he saw Raven his smile faded Oh, great. He avoided her and turned toward the professor, "Hello, Professor Lockwood." He smiled at Amelina, "I see you're not wearing flats today." He smirked and stood by a broom. He had a much better broom in the broom shed but the professor wanted them to use the school brooms for some reason.

Magesta smiled as the students came up, "Good afternoon." She looked at Andrew and read the thought that came across his mind. Glancing at Raven she looked thoughtful. Wonder what's going on here... She looked up at the sky again making sure it hadn't gotten any darker. "Well as soon as everyone arrives we're going to immediately get started before this rain comes. Ms. Peverell and Mr. Hearn, I'm going to ask you to set your brooms aside. We will all be using the school brooms. Our lesson today isn't about speed...it's about coordination."

Raven rolled her eyes when she saw Andrew on the pitch.. Great..look what the cat dragged in..she thought and smirked.

Isabella ran down to the pitch, knowing she was getting close to being late. She slowed down as she approached them all and got her breathe back to normal. "Afternoon Professor," she said smiling. She tried her best to ignore the feelings that she got from seeing both Andrew and Sam there, she still hadn't talked to Sam or Andrew, which in a way was bad, but on the other hand, stalling was good.

She nodded slightly when Sam walked down, the boy tried hard, she had to hand it to him.
Amelina tried not to laugh. Looking from Raven to Andrew and then Bella appeared. This should be interesting... She thought to herself.

Magesta stood there looking at everyone, "Good afternoon Ms. Peters." She looked around and smiled, "All right. Since we are pretty much here we'll get started. Today we are doing coordination drills for Quidditch. It will help with your balance and flying skills as well as Quidditch if you play." She turned around and picked up several Quaffle balls. Turning back around she looked at everyone, "I am going to put you into pairs and we'll switch pairs after each drill. Any questions?"

Andrew saw Bella come up and smiled. He kept his gaze away from Sam and focused on the professor. Drills...and pairs... He sighed and waited for the verdict to come down on who his partner was going to be.

Sam and Danika looked at each other and scowled. School brooms? Great. They walked away and put their brooms to the side. They came back to the group and stood by one of the old daggy school brooms, giving Professor Lockwood perfect looks of indifference.

Amelina bit her tongue, urging herself not to laugh, first the looks, the people and now partners. She wondered who she was going to be partnered with. It seemed the class was going to be drills, but then again at least she was outside. The fresh air, bit against her skin but it felt good compared to the stuffy cluggy air of the inside castle held.
She listened intently, waiting for her partner.

Partners! Bella thought. Well this wasn't good, if she was put with Andrew, Sam would probably get jealous and vise versa. Then again if they were put together it would mean... no she wasn't even going to think about that, surely the professor knew better. She looked up and saw it looked like rain, if only it would, then the lesson would be cancelled.
