Sam laughed. "I kept my eye on the ball the whole time. You can just throw well. Strong arm you've got there, Mel," he said, flying after her. These brooms really are sluggish.

Mel raised an eyebrow, "Thanks" She said, cooly. "I know.....honestly. Like they've been pulled out of the stone age. Wonder why Lockwood hasn't replaced them" |

Sam shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. I'd replace them all with Firebolts. Even they're the old ones. Better than these old Nimbus'." he said, smiling. He loved his Firebolt. He couldn't believe Lockwood had expected him to get onto a Nimbus.

"Well I'm sure we'd all love Firebolts....but I like my Outstripper. It's stylish" She said, laughing. "But I don't think our school can afford them, and anyway these brooms are fine for what they do...." Her hands slipped down the wood, gently running over the splintery wood. "The nimbus' have character...and history" She said, wondering who 5 years ago flew this broom in a winning match or lesson.
