NON-Quidditch flying

You didn't make the team or you want more time? No problem juust come here and fly its not only for quidditch..maybe a race or a game of broom tag who cares as long as its fun. But please remember to be respectfull of the area

Sam walked out onto the Pitch and smiled as he looked around. He had missed this over the break. He closed his for a moment, remembering his catches last year. Of course they weren't good enough to get the Cup, Slytherin got it. Danika was a superb Seeker. No wonder she got Captain. He wanted to win the Cup this year. It was his last year and he'd lead his team to victory. He took a Snitch out of his pocket and sighed. McGonagall had given this to him as a parting gift. It was the one he caught in the first game of last season. He mounted his broom and kicked off from the ground. He laughed as he shot up into the air, the wind whipping his face and ruffling through his hair. He got to a good height and let go of the Snitch. It flew around his head a few times then shot off in the direction of the south goalposts. He smiled and shot off after it. He flew around the pitch, keeping his eye on the Snitch at all times. Eventually, after 20 minutes, he caught it. He looked down at the ball in his hand and frowned. It had taken him 20 minutes to catch it out of a game. With no body else to distract the Snitch, nothing to make it fly in another direction. He didn't have to dodge other players and Bludgers. And he didn't have to compete against another Seeker, and it had still taken him 20 minutes. Danika could catch the Snitch in 5 minutes in a game situation, and he was on a better broom. He didn't even want to think of how long it took her to catch it like this. Speaking of Danika ...

"Nice attempt Hearn," Danika smiled. She loved goading Sam. They were friends and now him and Caitlin were sort of together, she supposed she had to be nice. She had seen him coming down to the Pitch and followed to see if he'd improved. He had, but he was still nothing on her. "Got a new broom?" she asked eyeing the Firebolt he was riding. She had the model before this one. She waited for him to reply, circling him to have a good look at the broom.

Sam followed her with his eyes as she circled him, admiring his broom. He smiled. "Yeah. Newest model. You like it?" he said, smirking slightly. She was jealous, he could see it, almost hidden behind her arrogant exterior. She stopped in front of him and looked up from the broom and looked him in the eye. She did this before a game, it always made her opposing Seeker feel a bit inferior.

Danika laughed. "Of course I like it. Who wouldn't? I have to wait. My inheritance is under my aunt and uncle's control until I turn 17. Which is only bloody 3 months away. Then I'll be getting my new broom." she said, a smile on her face. Then she turned sort of serious and looked at Sam. "So, how are you going to improve if you don't go up against the only one you can't beat." she laughed, looking at his reaction.

Sam's face scrunched up in mock annoyance. "Alright. You ready?" he said, holding the Snitch in his hand. Without waiting for her rply, he let it go and shot away after it, leaving her miles behind. He hoped his broom would give him the edge. Then he felt Danika fly up next to him. She was just a better flyer. Surely this brrom could go faster than it's parent model. He coaxed it along and looked over to Danika who was laughing at his attempt to get the broom to go faster. She was definately just the better flyer. He frowned as she flew away from him, closing in on the Snitch. He groaned as her fingers closed around the ball.

Danika proving she was better than him. The broom was nothing to the person astride it. If the person didn't know how to fly, the broom won't go. It senses your feelings, desperation for example, can make the broom shut down. She laughed as she passed him, waving slightly, making her demeanour calm and casual. This felt like a stroll around the Lake for her. She grinned as her fingers closed over the cold metal of the gold ball andshe fellt the wings fluttering against her hand as the Snitch struggled to get out of her grip. She turned around, to see Sam coming towards her, she laughed. He wasn't stopping. Surely he wasn't that angry. She grinned and flew off towards the ground. When they were a foot from the ground, she felt his arm close in around her waist and they fell to the ground laughing.
"That wasn't fair," she gasped through her laughter.

Sam suddenly had an idea. He flew off in her direction and smiled as he saw her shoot off to the ground. He coaxed some more speed out of the broom and shot down with her. He caught her and slid an arm around her waist, making them both to the floor. He laughed as she tried to speak.
"You're not fair," he said, rolling over to look at her. He never saw her like this. She was actually really pretty.

Danika rolled onto her side to look at him. He was good looking. Definately a different sort. Perfect for Caitlin. Word around was he had a way with women. Even some of the teachers were talking about it. She looked at him and smiled, he was covered in mud. She looked down at herself, sinking slowly into the ground. Se pulled a bit of hair around to the front and sighed. Her purple hair was streaked with brown. She had mud in her hair.
"Congratulations on making Captain by the way," she said, smiling, letting go of her hair. There was nothing she could do about it at the moment.

Sam inclined his head slightly. "Congratulations to you as well." He looked her over and smiled. She was covered in mud. "Did you want to leave so you can get cleaned up?" he asked. He had witnessed an explosion from her after some Gryffindor 'slipped' and poured her potion all over Danika. The Gryffindor was in the hospital wing for a week. He hoped she wouldn't get angry. He was then one that made her fall in the mud. He was surpised when she rolled over onto her back.

Danika laughed and rolled back over onto her back, immersing more of her body into the mud. She supposed it was good for her to get messy every now and again. You couldn't be clean all the time. "It's okay. Unless you want get cleaned up." she shrugged her shoulders, trying very hard not to whince against the horrid feeling of the wet mud on her back.

Sam laughed, feeling his elbow sink into the mud as he propped himself up to get a better look at her. He moved in closer and sighed. She was really quite beautiful. "I'm fine. It was you I was worried about. You don't seem like the type to roll around in the mud." he laughed. He had a thought. But no he couldn't. She was Caitlin's friend. Not that he exactly knew what was going on with them. It was probably just that day by the Lake. he said. Oh well. "You're really pretty, you know that."

Danika smiled. "I don't usually 'roll around in the mud' but it doesn't feel so bad today." she said, smiling. "Thanks. How are you and Caitlin?" she asked, trying to take his mind off herself. When he shrugged, her heart fell.

Sam shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know." He lowered himself back to the ground and lay on his side next to her, his arm was starting to hurt. She was really pretty. He lifted a hand and ran a finger down her arm. She even had softer skin. He leant in closer.

Danika shivered as he touched her arm. She couldn't do this. Yes, Danika Peverell was telling herself to stop. Well he's not technically with Caitlin, so what the hell. She caught his hand as it brushed her fingers and looked up at him. She was going to do something stupid and her friendship was probably going to suffer.

Sam felt her grip his hand and looked down at her. Oh what the hell he said and leant down to kiss her, being very surprised when her head rose to meet his."

She knew it was stupid, she knew it would hurt Caitlin, she knew everything that could have happened with Max was going to end, but Danika couldn't help herself. This is why she got into so much trouble all the time. She let go of his hand and the Snitch, which was still in her other hand and ran her fingers through his hair. She was so stupid!

Caitlin walked down to the ptich with Max he said he would help here out some. She stopped dead though when she saw Dani and Sam out in the middle of the field. "Danika!"SHe screamed as she stood frozen with pain

Max had been talking with Caitlin when she had stopped he only turned to see what was happening when he heard her scream. He turned and saw what had happened and imidiatly went over to beat the crap out of Sam. With a glare that could kill hundreds

Danika's head snapped up when she heard Caitlin's voice. She rolled away from Sam, just in time to miss Max's fists. "Max! Stop it!" she screamed. She looked over to Caitlin and started crying. "Caitlin, I'm so sorry!" she cried, running over to her friend. "I'm so sorry," she sobbed, not knowing how she was going to set this right.

Sam heard Caitlin's scream and felt Danika roll away from him. Then he felt Max pounding on him. He lifted his arms to shield. "Man, stop it. I'm sorry." He looked over to Danika and sighed when she was trying to reason with Caitlin. He felt so bad

Caitlin looked at Danika "How could?"She said her jaw quivering. "I knew you had a problem but I thought maybe..maybe you could control yourself for you BEST freind but I guess snogging guys is more important than me."SHe said tears slowly running down her cheeks but she held her head high. "You are lower than dirt Peverell"She said her voice shakeing

Max was swing at Sam with all his might which was alot! "You stupid pathetic spoild prat"Her screamed between blows. He was pretty sure he felt Sam's nosebreak

Danika's eyes widened in horror. "Oh my god. Caitlin please. Listen to me! I - I - I, oh dear. Caitlin I'm so sorry. Please Caitlin, look at me. I'm so sorry. " she turned to see Max punching Sam. Then she heard an almighty crack. Sam's nose had broken. She threw a apologetic look to Caitlin and swept back to the boys. She put her hands on Max's shoulders and tried to pull him off. "Max, please stop." she cried.

Sam felt and heard his nose break. Then he tasted blood in his mouth. s**t. At least it was Danika and not some other chick. He lifted his arms again and smacked Max in the side of the face. "Mate! Stop!" then he saw Danika try to pull Max off him. He shook his head at her and sighed, the blood filling up his throat.

CAitlin stood there she wanted to hurt Danika as bad as she hurt her. She wanted to rip her heart out and stomp on it till all it was was a dried lump of nothing. She heard Sam's nose break and didn't even feel sorry for him it served him right.

Max threw Danika off of him and stormed over to Caitlin who her wrapped his arms around as she stood there rigde as ice and just as cold.

Danika fell to the ground and watched, hurt, as Max stormed off and wrapped his arms around her. Now she was in trouble. Now James would be angry at her. And Kildara. She crawled back over to Sam, who has rolled over and was now spitting blood out of his mouth. "I'm so sorry," she sobbed. She waved her hand over his nose and it repaired itself, and the blood dried up. She looked at him, tears prickling in her eyes.

Sam rolled over as Max got off him and spat the blood out of his mouth. He looked over to Caitlin and sighed as Max hugged her. He smiled slightly as Danika fixed his nose. He collected her in his arms and sighed. "We're in trouble, now" He kissed her on the top of her head. He was in so much trouble.

Caitlin looked up at Max then shoved him. She hurt to much to be comforted. She could feel the tears dripping from her chin. She was sending daggers at Danika but she wasn't moveing her limbs wouldn't listen to her mind. She wanted to rip Danika's pretty face to pieces and send it flying to the winds.

Max hardly noticed when Caitlinshoved him off. He looked directly at the two before turning and leaveing. He stormed out he had to talk to his father. He would help him calm down.

Danika fell back into tears as Sam wrapped his arms around her. She looked back over to see Max walking off and Caitlin standing rigid as ice. She looked up at Sam and released herself. She stood up and sighed. "Caitlin?" she said, aware that Caitlin would probably lash out.

Sam sighed. How did he let himself do this. Yes, Danika was a very good-looking young woman. But why did he always do this? He nodded as Danika got up and walked off. He stood up himself and picked up the two brooms that were laying forgotten in the mud. He took them and walked off the put them away in the broomshed.

Caitlin looked at Danika but she didn't speak. She just stared at her. How could she turst her not to make a move on him he was attractive she really should blame herself. but Danika was still at fault she wasn't takeing this one

Danika sighed. "please talk to me. Please." she groaned

Caitlin looked at Danika "I have to go."She said her voice empty and void and turned leaveing Danika behind to be pathetic. She wasn't going to let this stop her from her normal routine. She was still going to go down and watch Kildara work she was stupid to let something like this affect her.

"Caitlin wait please," Danika sobbed. How could she be so stupid. When Caitlin didn't turn, she collapsed on the floor overcome with tears. She didn't even feel it when someone came up behind her and picked her up.

Sam was walking back to the castle when he looked back and saw Caitlin walking off, leaving Danika alone. He walked back over and saw her collapse to the ground. He picked her up and carried her up to the castle. He couldn't leave her outside in the cold.
