[Kelly Black]

Kelly listened to Danika's words, but they didn't get to her "Yeah, sure. Whatever you want" She just kept looking straight forward. She could hear Danika's voice shiver, as if she was going to cry, but it meant nothing to her. She was just someone, making her weak.

Danika let a tear roll down her cheek. Kelly was different. She was killing her. Tearing her up. Danika was dying.
"You're not the Kelly I fell in love with. Bye," she half-sobbed, turning on her heel and walking away. She let the tears come. This time, she'd let them fall, in public, for people to see. She no longer cared!

Danika's words ran past Kelly. She didn't care. Only when she heard Danika sob and walk away, she looked back after her. She wanted to go to her and hold her and tell her, it didn't have to be that way, but she couldn't. All she could do was yell after her "Just run away. I don't care! That's what you always do!" She fel anger rise inside her again. Just like in the hospital. She jumped to her feet, but didn't move. A part of her wanted it to just be a bad dream.

Danika turned as Kelly spoke. She walked quickly up to her, and clasped her face in her hands, tears still running down her face.
"I'm not running. I have nothing to run from. You obviously don't think there's anything left. You're different. And I don't like it. This isn't Kelly. Not the Kelly I know anyway. Not the Kelly I love. Not the I will always love. What happened?" she said, her voice waving as she took deep breaths between words, trying to calm herself.

Kelly looked deep in Danika's eyes. She could see the tears and she felt her heart breaking, but she couldn't let it get to her "Have you ever loved me?" She slowly took Danika's hands and let them slide down to her side. "Times change. I don't know your reason and I don't care. But I am still the same. Maybe it's you, who's different." She kept looking at Danika, hoping for something. Anything, that will help her restore the good side of her, but the dark one just kept taking over.

Danika was nearing breaking point, her breath coming in short gasps as she held back sobs.
"Have I ever loved you? Do you want ask an intelligent question? You know I loved you. You're the only person in my life I have ever loved." When Kelly removed her hands, she let out a sob.
"You have changed. You're cold. Unresponsive. I don't understand. I know I've changed as well. You softened me. You have no idea." She kept her watery deep blue eyes on Kelly, searching. Searching for something that was left. Even something small she could draw on.

Kelly remembered all the good times she and Dani had had, but she pushed them back again. "You just tell me, you love me. But then you go around and kiss or do whatever, with other people. And no one says anything, cause their scared. I can't trust you and that's not love." Her voice was calm, as if she was reading the words. This was it, no going back anymore. "You haven't changed. Danika Peverell doesn't change." She knew how cold it sounded, but she didn't think. She wanted it to be over. "Go" she took a breath "and don't come back."

Danika's eyes widened, and she began to sob. "I have changed. I'm sorry I could stop completely. I have cried so much over you. Even before we started going out. This hurts so much. You have no idea. Danika Peverell liked changing. Now she's going to slip back into the cold, cruel girl she was before. Fine I'll go. For good," she sobbed, turning on her heel again and walking off a second time. This time, bawling her eyes out. Her heart physically breaking, tearing her up inside. Eradicating anything that made her soft. Slipping and sliding back into the shell, the hardness, that made her Danika Peverell.

Kelly looked at Danika's back, as she walked away and she didn't feel anything. She felt nothing that would have shown, she was human. She didn't feel her heart breaking and her blood running through her hands. She sat down and looked at the sun. She didn't feel the light hurt her eyes. She didn't feel any joy. She didn't feel anything.
