As you walk past the Flower Garden, the magestic Black Lake lies ominously in front of you. It's black surface like silk pulled taught, there is not even a ripple. This is a perfect place to come and relax with friends and do some left over homework. You may even swim, but remember, stay between the rocks!

Caitlin walked down to the lake her swimming suit under her robes. She smiled and sat down to just look it over for a while. It was so pretty.

Danika walked solemnly up to the Lake and sat down. She had so much on her mind at the moment. What with the wedding coming up and Black keeping an eye on her, and Smith being ... well Smith. She just needed an escape.

Danika looked up as Caitlin sat down and smiled. Who else better to take her mind off her problems than her best friend. "Oh just the usual. Did you see the points? Slytherin are negative. Stupid Smith. Stupid Black. Bloody Smith heard us talking in the courtyard yesterday and she accused me of being a Death Eater. She saw it. And then Black came and took points off both of us and gave us both detentions. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid." she said, smaking her head with her hand. "But hey! Nothing too bad. The main thing is, Black didn't see it. So, what's up?"

Caitlin smircked Danika always had had a quick temper. She needed to learn to control it or else she would get them all in trouble "Besides my new mark nothing"She said with a quick look to insure no one was by "But Kildara said something to me guess what."

Danika's smirk deepened. She had been told the same thing. And James liked her. So maybe he'd be able to keep Kildara from making rash decisions. "She said the same thing to me. But then again, I grew up under her shadow. Good having such powerful friends." she smirked. Gosh ambition was a horrible thing.

Danika smirked. She had gotten to her. Ambition was the downfall of human weakness. There was much more to getting where you wanted apart from ambition and a 'gift'. You need the thirst for the fight. Jealousy got you nowhere.
"I'm sure you will," Danika said, smiling happily at her friend. "You always do."

Caitlin frowned "you don't think I will do you?"She asked she had noticed the smirck as it deepen and deepened "Well let me tell you I will and even my family freinds and enemies will not stop me I will do whatever it takes." She said looking into Danika's eyes. Caitlin didn't care what happened this would be hers even if she had to claw her way up. She wasn't born related to anyone with in power so she propably would.

Danika's deep blue eyes boared into Caitlin's. This was fun. She felt bad she was doing this to her friend, but she found this fun.
"I'm not saying I think you won't. I said you always do. It's your decision how you take my words. I think you can do it. James is the one you have to get passed. He's not budging. Him and Kildara are together you know. She won't bump him down."

"Even so he eventually will not be able to hold his spot and I shall be there to fill it" Caitlin said relaxing no matter how good Danika thought she was she wasn't good enough to hide it from her best friend when she was haveing fun. "So now stop trying to torment me and tell me if you want to join me for a swim."

Danika smiled. She couldn't hide from her friend.
"Yeah well I wouldn't count on it happening for a while. He's barely 30, and he's aging really well. He was second in command to Kildara, when she was the Dark Lord's second. It is only fitting he should be hers now." she said, sounding uniterested. Then her face lit up. "I thought you'd never ask." she said, laughing. She ripped off her clothes, revealing her black bikini. Then she turned to face Caitlin. "Last one to the Lake is a Flobberworm!" she said, running and jumping into the Lake.
