Alex laughed again, "its ok, i really don't mind." Alex smiled, he had forgotten everything about the dark mark. it felt like it was gone but he knew it wasn't.

Danika laughed. He obviously had nothing to hide. "So, what year are you in again?" she asked politely. She didn't think he'd actually told her but she was hearing and not hearing things a lot lately.

Max had been silent the whole way back up and when he reached the castle he turned to Danika "I think I'm going to go for a walk" HE said turning to go to the forest.

Danika birst through the heavy oak doors and into the courtyard. Her life was crap. She had no idea what was going on. She thought she was friends with Caitlin again then she calls her a skank and dirt again. Max had forgiven her but they hadn't really spoken. Sam still looked at her with longing, although that might stop if what she heard was true. She had to endure Estelle prancing around with her badge on her chest. The stupid black smudge on her arm that got her into more trouble than it gave her pride. Really, she concluded, she was bored. And she missed her parents, a single silver tear slid from her eye, and she let it fall, not caring who saw.
