Aidan took the wand, feeling a bit dubious. Elm was okay, but Veela hair? He'd always thought only girls had that for a core. Still, if the wand was choosing him... he pointed the wand at a lamp standing on the counter and spoke the spell to light the lamp. It lit up, almost before he'd finished speaking. "It's responsive," he commented. He looked at it, liking the carving, a spiral handle, with a finely tapering body. He pointed the wand again, and this time just thought the spell, without speaking. The lamp went out obediently, and Aidan grinned. "That's the first time I've done a non-verbal spell. It looks like this is the right wand!" He smiled at the assistant (too bad he didn't know her name, he thought), and said, "I think this will suit me. How much?" Sinead watched him try the wand, a smile creeping onto her face as he seemed to like it. When he grinned and exclaimed it was the right one, she smile widened. "Well, then. I'm glad I could help a little bit," she said, smiling happily. "That one there is 1 Galleon." Veela Hair was hard to get a hold of. She smiled, then leant a little closer to him. "The name's Sinead, by the way," she whispered, before straightening back up again.

Aidan took out a golden galleon and put it into Sinead's hand, letting his fingers brush over hers unobtrusively. He might be going for ice cream with Angel, but he believed in keeping all his options open. "Well, Sinead, perhaps we'll meet under more pleasant circumstances some time," he said, with his trademark smile.
He took the wand, and smiled at Angel as she walked to the door, taking the chance to lean towards Sinead, and murmur, "I'm staying at the Leaky Cauldron," before he followed the younger girl out into the street.

As he leant in and spoke to her, she raised an eyebrow, before saying. "Maybe a drink then." She watched him walk out the door and shook her head. Sinead. You're an idiot.

He held her gaze for a moment longer, then smiled and walked through the doorway.

Sinead smiled. "Yeah, ok," she said. She was going to see Chris in the Cauldron anyways. It was about time she caught up with her cousin. He'd come passed and saw her and told her to go and see him at work, so, that's exactly what she was going to do. She sighed, shaking her head, and walked into the back room, to continue with her testing.

Andromeda walked into a shabby looking shop she knew to be the wand shop around here. She had only moved here during the summer and this was only the second time she had been in Diagon ally. She walked over to the counter and said a hesitance in her voice, her green/gray eyes giving away how nervous she was.
"Hello, I'm Andromeda Evans..I'm here for a wand."

"Hello, I'm Andromeda Evans..I'm here for a wand."
Sinead looked up as a young woman walked into the store. "Why are you so nervous? I won't bite," she joked. "Okay, a new wand." She mused for a moment, then rushed to the back of the shop, running back with a slim purple box.She opened it and took the wand from the velvet cushioning. "Hawthorn, Dragon Heartstring, 11 inches," she announced, handing the girl the wand. "How does that feel?"

Andi smiled and laughed at her own inside joke. She took the wand from the girl and waved it. Sparks came out but instead of a pleasurable feeling she had had with her first wand it sorta felt like dread.
"I don't know how to put this...but it kinda feels like it going to bit me...like its lashing back at me." Andi said, a small smile on her face. Her nervousness gone.

She'd never once been wrong, in the couple years since her uncle died. Never. "I'm guessing something happened to your old wand. Sometimes you can reject a new one. I know the wand chooses the wizard, but you have to accept it. Are you over whatever happened to your wand?" she asked.

Andromeda looked at the women and thought about her old wand. Yew, Dragon heartstrings 12 inches...It had been her baby. It had been destroyed the night her mother regained her memories. The same night she had killed her mother in self defense. "No, I guess I'm not. The circumstanced around what happened to my wand is something I have been trying to block out for some time. I just...." Andi stopped and closed her eyes. Trying to stop the tear that where threatening to fall. She calmed down slowly and before she knew it she had said two words she had refused to say..."I'm sorry mother." She opened her eyes and waved the wand. This time Purple and blood red sparks shot out and wrapped themselves around Andi. She smiled and turned to the women. "Thank you. The wand feels much better now...Like my old wand...only better. I have not been able to get a wan since my Mother...Since my mother died. It was the same night my wand was destroyed. I think I have finally come to terms with it." She said.

Sinead watched the girl as she seemed to have a flashback, and was fighting back tears. When the girl opened her eyes and looked up, Sinead gave her a reassuring smile. "I'm glad I could help," she said, still smiling.
"Umm. How about we say this one's on me," she said, hardly believing the words coming out of her mouth. Though, she elements weren't hard to get her hands on, so it wasn't that much of a loss.

Andi smiled let the guards she usually kept around her emotions down. She was barely able to keep tears from leaking from her eyes. "Thank you...if in the future you need anything. Please let me know I'd be more then happy to help." She said before bowing slightly as a sign of respect and turned to leave the shop. She was happy she was finally able to let her mother go.
