Verity wandered into Ollivander's. She took a look around. 'quaint.' she thought and crinkled her nose as she looked at the dusty boxes. She sauntered over to the store keeper. “I'd like a wand please. Mine sorta..er... broke?” she said in her thick Irish accent. Obviously. Why else would she be in this dirty little shop?

Christopher pushed open the door of the shop.
"Wow!" he exclaimed, looking at the thousands of boxes piled up on all sides. This was the part he'd been really looking forward to. Mum & Dad had insisted on buying his books and other school supplies first, and had tried to persuade him to have an ice cream, but he'd been too excited about getting his wand. They'd seemed a bit nervous, though not as much as when they found themselves confronted by a goblin when they went into Gringotts to change some money - muggle money, the goblin had called it scornfully - into the wizard sort, and Mum had suggested he could buy his wand by himself, and given him a big handful of wizard money, so here he was.
His eyes were bright, imagining all the cool things he'd be able to do with an actual magic wand.
He saw that there was an older girl already at the counter, and overheard her explaining that her wand had been broken. Well, he didn't mind waiting, it would give him more time to look around the shop.

Sinead walked into the store to relieve Abby. They'd been really busy lately and they need two staff on during the day. She motioned for Abby to leave before turning to the girl at the front. She frowned at her slightly, noticing her turned up nose and the feeling that she didn't want to be there. "Yours broke now did it? You have to take better care of it then," she smirked. She ran off between the aisles, pulling boxes off the shelves at random. She gave each wand to the girl, then took them back almost straight away. She was exactly like her uncle, she couldn't help it. She gave the girl a wand and didn't feel the need to take it back. "How does that one feel? Elm, dragon heartstring, 11 inches. Quite nice," she said, hoping it was the right one so the girl would leave the shop, also, it was a particularly expensive one as well. Good sell that would be.

Sinead looked over and saw a younger boy, who looked like he was about to jump out of his skin with excitement. She walked over to him. "So, you a first year?" she asked him, smiling happily down at him. It wasn't that long ago since she was a in school, so she remembered what it was like, although it was probably a lot different now, after the Battle of Hogwarts and all that. She looked himup and down, measuring him up, then raced off pullingout boxes from the shelves then came back. She handed him wand after wand, taking them back out of his hand just as fast. She got to one and seemed to almost leap out of the box. She smiled and handed it to him. "Try this one, love. Willow, 8", with a core of a single hair from the head of a Veela. Very nice wand there," she said, smiling at him.

Amelina walked in, rolling her eyes. She couldn't believe it, wands didn't just snap because she was being an idiot. "Hiya. I need a new wand. It snapped while I was playing quidditch" She had the stupidest urge to explain herself. She shut herself up, waiting.

She turned to her and smiled. "Snapped while you were playing Quidditch huh? Well, well well, I know that feeling. Mine didn't snap completely, but my uncle said it's lucky the wood was springy," she laughed. "Hang on here and I'll get you to try out a few." She turned and raced down the aisles, pulling boxes out at random. People said she really looked like Ollivander when she did that. Well, niece like uncle, she supposed. She race back, handed the girl wand after wand, not leaving them very long in the girl's hand before she took them away again. She reached the last one in the pile and gave it to the girl and smiled. "Here, try this on. Elm, 11 inches, with a core of dragon heartstring," she said, watching for the girl's reaction.

Amelina laughed. "My last wand was oak, 11 inches, dragon" She shook her head and tried out the wand. A warm air gushed up her arm, a thousand times stronger than any other wand she'd been given. She smiled, "I'll take it thanks"

That'll be 15 sickles please," she said, smiling.

Amelina grinned. "Thanks Miss." She handed over the money, her money bag considerably lighter after her recent purchase.

Good sell that would be. “Fraid so.” she replied brightly giving the woman a fake smile as she frowned at her. She took the wand, it felt good in her hand. She pointed it at the lamp and gave it a swoosh turing the light off and then on again. “It's perfect.” she said. “How much is it?”
