"Kia Ora!" We're A Long Way From Home

Raven was amazed by the sheer beauty of her surroundings, this was much different than what she was used to seeing but that was a good thing in a way. She was super excited to finally be in New Zealand after waiting so long to come, this was definitely going to be a trip to remember. "I know! This is just awesome." she said with a slight chuckle as she put her sunglasses on and started fiddling around with her necklace.

Andi smiled and snuggled up to Raven for a second before straightening up in her seat. They pulled up outside the hotel (a 5-star! Andi's parents had pulled out all the stops for this one!) and got out, unloading and paying the taxi driver. They got checked in, and taken up to their rooms. Andi's parents had one, and And and Raven had one next door. Andi grinned as she walked into the room and flopped down on one of the double beds. "This is sooooo f**king cool!" she giggled, getting back up again and walking out onto the balcony. "You can see everything from here! Rave... come have a look!"

Once she entered the room, all Raven wanted to do was rest; she was tired and frustrated after that flight, so she took her shoes off then took a leap onto the bed and lied there for a bit until Andi wanted her to get up. She groaned slightly as she literally dragged herself up from the bed and walked out onto the balcony, it was absolutely a breathtaking view. "Wow, this is absolutely incredible."

Andi giggled, then jumped up to kiss Raven's cheek. "Thanks for coming with me... I'd have to share a room with my parents if you hadn't... and I wouldn't be able to share this with anyone... and that would ba complete drag!" She turned around as the door opened and her parents walked in. "We're going down to the store to get some food, we're trusting you two won't get into too much mischeif. Remember to set your watches forward 2 hours as well. We're going to go out for dinner... so can you girls be ready for 7? And then we'll go out," Andi's dad announced.

Andi nodded. "Of course Daddy," she replied. The parents smiled, then left the girls alone. "Rest time?" Andi suggested, moving off the balcony back into the room and crawling onto one of the beds.

Raven felt her cheek get a bit warm where Andi's lips had touched, she had to stop it from becoming a full on blush because now was not the time for that. "You're welcome, there was no way that I'd let that happen besides right about now, I'd be probably wandering around my house trying not to get lost; trust me its easy to get lost when you're living there alone." she said with a slight smile as she took in the view from the balcony, this just seemed totally surreal to her.

"Rest would be a good idea about now, f**k I don't know how muggles can handle being in an airport without getting majorly stressed out; that was so when I wished I was old enough to apparate." Raven said as she walked off the balcony and back into the room then tossing herself back onto the other bed.

"Oh I know! I hate airports, but Dad's a Muggle, obviously, so we gotta do everything the Muggle way, and he won't let Mum Apparate him anywhere. He thinks it's wierd. And fair enough too," Andi replied, kicking off her shoes. She sighed, took out her phone, changed the time on it, then set an alarm for 6 o'clock, which was in two hours.

"I set an alarm for 6 so we have time to get up, have showers get ready and that before dinner. Okays?"

"Alright that's fine, now it is time to sleep." Raven said with a slight yawn as she took the sunglasses off her forehead and ended up putting them on while she lied back on the bed and stared at the ceiling for a bit, thinking about some of the strange dreams she'd been having lately which all brought back her past which was colorful to say the least.

Andi smiled, then rolled over, curling up. She was automatically sleep, despite having slept for pretty much the entire plane ride.

Two hours later, Andi awoke to her alarm going off, she groaned, putting her hand heavily down on her phone and turning it off. She grumbled something about "stupid alarms" and rolled over to face Raven.

"Rave... you awake?"

Raven heard the alarm go off, she was startled by that and ended up falling out of bed then laughing after she hit the floor. "Yeah, I'm awake..that was not pleasant at all." she said as she eventually got up off the floor and sat back on the bed, rubbing her back slightly after that fall; she was tempted to lie back down but knew that she couldn't..

"Oh my god!" Andi exclaimed as Raven fell off the bed. She tried not to laugh, but couldn't help herself, especially when Raven herself started laughing. "Are you okay?" she chuckled. "Do you want a shower first?"

"I'm alright, I'm easily startled by an alarm like that when I'm trying to sleep." Raven said as she slowly got up from the bed, well that wasn't exactly the way she wanted to continue this day but it was a bit amusing anyway. "Umm sure" she headed over to her suitcase then opened it up and then took out a towel, along with a few articles of clothing and her wand then headed into the bathroom and closing the door behind her.

About 25 minutes later, she finally emerged from the bathroom, all dolled up with her hair and makeup done and her light purple summer dress on. "So what do you think?"

Andi chuckled, and rolled onto her back again as Raven headed into the bathroom. She heard the water go, and got up, going over to her suitcase and picking out what she was going to wear. Putting it on her bed, she sat down on it, just as Raven came out of the bathroom. She jumped up again. "Oo La La! I likie!" she exclaimed playfully, ruffling the bottom of the dress. "You look really nice, Rave. I don't think I've ever seen you in a dress!" She went back over to her bed, picking up her clothes and walking passed Raven into the bathroom.

30 minutes later, she stepped back out, wearing a bright blue belted mini shift dress, and her makeup and hair done. "Like?" she asked her friend.

"Ah thanks, the only other people that have seen me wearing a dress are my parents and that was only because they forced me to wear it." Raven said with a slight smile as she put her stuff back into her suitcase and took out a pair of black sandals then slipped them onto her feet and sat back down on the bed, looking out at the balcony with a slight sigh.

When she heard the bathroom door open, she turned her head and her jaw nearly dropped when she saw Andi. Okay Raven, breathe and calm down, don't make it obvious that you think she's absolutely gorgeous; she'll know that something's up if you act any differently. "Wow..Andi, you look amazing."

"Awww, thankies!" Andi replied, a grin on her face. She pulled out a pair of white heels and slipped them onto her feet, just as there was a knock on the door and her parents entered. "You two look very nice!" Andi's mum exclaimed. "Is that that dress you got just before we left that you wouldn't show me, Andi?"
The girl nodded. "Like?"
"Yes, very much so. You look like you need platform boots, big earrings and massive sunnies! Straight out of a 60s picture."
Andi chuckled. "So, where're we going?"
"It's a surprise! Come on girls." Andi's father stood at the door waiting for everyone to pass. When Raven passed him, he said, "You look very nice too Raven."

"Ahh well thank you Mr. Macmillon" Raven said with a slight smile as she passed him then followed Andi and her mum down the hallway, she was a bit curious as to seeing where they were going but she was just really wanting it all to be over so she could just go to sleep; it had been a long day and that 2 hour nap really didn't do much for her considering that stupid alarm had startled her out of a pleasant dream.

With that thought, she drifted off back into a daydream which made her smile, sometimes she wished her daydreams were reality but unfortunately that wasn't going to happen. Hmm... maybe I could head out on the balcony later and sing for a bit, god knows along with a little Irish Whiskey that it would calm me down
