[Caeleb Dracus]

Entering the Great Hall through the side door was a new experience for Caeleb. This was a privilage reserved only for the staff.
Staff.
It still sounded dtrange to him. He slid into a seat at the staff table without looking at the rest of the room. He wondered if any of the other students would notice him.
...any of the other students...
He had to stop thinking like that. He wasn't one of them anymore. Not that he'd ever counting himself among the throng of adolescent idiots the school housed.
He glanced up at the Slytherin table just in time to see Danika leaving with Kelly. he frowned, but then shrugged. He didn't care about Danika. She could handle her own problems. He stared down at the ring on his wedding finger and a tiny smile played on his lips.

Kildara strolled into the Hall just in time to see Danika leaving with Kelly. She was about to stop it, but decided against it. Deciding they needed to work something's out. But, as soon as it was over, she supposed she would have to do something. She walked up to the Staff Table, her eyes roaming the Hall, looking for anything. Everyone seemed sort of down at the moment. She reached the table and smiled as she saw Caeleb. Now - this was odd. Odd indeed. She sat down beside him, and sighed, relaxing back into the chair, pulling some food towards her. She wasn't really that humgry (her stomach was playing up again) but she knew she had to eat.
"How are you about all this?" she asked him.

The moment Dara entered the room his eyes were on her. He watched as she scouted the room for any problems and could tell that she'd seen Kelly. He waited for her to sit down and smiled cautiously at her.
"It's a little odd, seeing the Hall from this angle." he admitted. He watched her take the food and followed suit. He actually was pretty hungry and he'd already swallowed two mouthfuls before he spoke again.
"It feels more comfortable being up here than it does being down there to be honest." he confessed, nodding towards the Slytherin table. "Besides, I'm next to you and what could feel more natural than that?" he added with a genuine smile.

Kildara gave him a reassuring smile. "Yeah, it's odd to begin with, but you get used to it," she told him. The first time she'd sat up here she was petrified. She watched him start to eat. He could eat enough for the both of them. She listened as he began to speak again, and chuckled softly. She returned his smile and pressed her leg softly agains this under the table. "To be honest, it feels better up here with you, than it did before," she admitted. She looked out to the students. People were looking up at them. "People have noticed."

As he felt her leg brush up against his he leaned his own back into hers and smiled. They were married and they were both members of staff, and yet he still felt like they should be hiding the relationship. He kept having to remind himself that there was nothing to hide anymore, no need for secrecy.
He turned to look at the few curious faces that had turned their way and chuckled quietly.
"Let them look." he murmured before turning to her boldy and kissing her softly, but briefly on the lips. The sudden wave of whispering that amounted was unmistakable. He grinned at her.

Kildara smiled back at him as his leg rested against hers. She moved one of her hands under the table to pat his thigh softly, before letting it rest there. She didn't care. Watching him as he looked out to the school. As he turned to her, she looked a thim curiously, then let out a sigh as he kissed her. She smiled at the whispering. "Come on - that all I get?" she teased. "Give them something to whisper about." SHe smiled, and leaned to him again, kissing him softly, but longer and deeper.

Caeleb exclaimed in surprise as her hand appeared on his leg and her lips pressed firmly against his. It didn't last though. With a soft, low chuckle he returned the kiss and rested his hand in her thigh.
"You are so bad, Mrs Dracus." he told her as the kiss ended. "Or should I call you Headmistress during school hours?" he askled teasingly. He stroked her wedding finger, smiling at the feel of her wedding ring.

Kildara sighed as he responded to her kiss, and his hand rested on her thigh. Ohhhhhh golly! As the kiss ended and he spoke, she chuckled and smiled at him, nodding her head.
"Hmmm," she breathed, feeling him stroking her hand. She could feel her ring pushing into her finger as his finger ran over it. It felt nice. "I like Mrs Dracus," she answered a smile. For once in her life, she enjoyed being called 'Mrs'

[Emilia Pettigrew]

Emilia walked up to the staff table, looking more worn out than ever. The bags under her eyes had obtained an even darker shade, her hair hung lifelessly around her face and her hands were full of scars. She threw a glance at Kildara and Caeleb and let out a sigh. She still hadn't gotten her mind completely away from Simon. She had a lot more to worry about, but she missed Simon so much.She nodded to them, took a seat a bit further from the happy couple and poured herself some orange juice.

Kaiia glanced up as Emilia slid into a chair next to hers. She'd seen the look that Emilia had given Caeleb and Kildara, and sympathised. "Making rather an exhibition of themselves, aren't they," she said dryly. Bad enough that Kildara should decide to marry that arrogant boy; but their kissing and snuggling in public was frankly undignified.

She glanced again at Emilia, noting her exhausted appearance. She recalled that Emilia had been friendly when Kaiia first arrived to teach at Hogwarts. As far as her prickly nature would allow, she felt some affection for the other woman. She put a hand on her arm, and asked, "Emilia, are you feeling all right?"

Emilia turned to face Kaiia, as she spoke of Caeleb and Kildara "In some way I understand them" though she felt that Dara was acting a bit too childish for her position. She was still the headmaster and she was supposed to set some kind of example. But who was she to judge. She just lowered her head again and took a sip of her juice.
When Kaiia touched her arm, she winced slightly "Oh sorry, love, I've been a bit tense lately and last weeks full moon wasn't actually kind to me." Those were only a few of her problems, but there were things she didn't want to admit to anyone but Kit. Like how she was terrified of Kelly, how she still cried for Simon and what a disgrace she had been to her parents.

Kaiia listened to Emilia's explanation, nodding slightly. She had a feeling it was a little more than that. Frankly, the poor woman looked absolutely wretched. "Well, if you feel like joining me for a cup of tea in my office, some time, please do." The words sounded stilted to her own ears; but Kaiia had not been raised to show warmth. Still, she was making the offer, and found that she really hoped that Emilia would take her up on it occasionally.

Emilia flashed Kaiia a warm smile. She had had a soft spot for her ever since she visited her in her office. Another lonely soul who had gone through a lot more than she probably should have. "Actually" she looked at Caeleb and Kildara again "I think I'll take you on that offer right now, if you don't mind. Would do me a bit good to talk to someone every once in a while, I suppose."

Kaiia nodded. She'd arrived early, and had already finished eating; she never had a big appetite anyway. But Emilia had only just arrived... "Are you sure you don't want to eat first?" That felt strange, she wasn't used to being considerate.
