Emilia glanced at the pudding she had started to eat, then at Kildara and Caeleb and pushed the pudding aside. "I'm not really hungry anymore. All this atmosphere makes me a little bit queasy, if you know what I mean." Kaiia was just as lonely as she was, surely she would understand.

Kaiia nodded. Throwing a sour glance at Kildara and Caeleb, she murmured, "It does tend to remind me of what I've lost. " She stood up, and stepped away from the table. "I have some elf-made wine," she said to Emilia. "It would be pleasant to sit and drink wine and talk in a quiet atmophere." She began to walk towards the door near the staff table.

Emilia nodded softly. She figured she needed someone to talk to and she felt that Kit wouldn't understand. She got up from the table followed Kaiia to the door, glancing back at Kildara and Caeleb for a moment and letting out a quiet sigh.

Kaiia caught Emilia's glance, and turned to see what she was looking at. Kildara and Caeleb were still snogging. With a pang, Kaiia suddenly recalled the first few months after she and Damon were married; they'd hardly been able to keep their hands off each other. She sighed, and followed Emilia out of the Great Hall.
