 Just sit back and relax with your friends, or take advantage of your free time to get ahead of some homework. The Common Room features many couches, armchairs and tables to serve every purpose. Please admire the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw at the entrance, 'Wit beyond measure is a man's greatest treasure', and the stars painted in the ceiling. |

Bella smiled happily as she entered the common room. The last time she had been here she'd been getting ready to go spend two weeks with her boyfriend and now she was coming back with a fiance and a ring on her finger. Wondering what everyone else would think about it, she sat by the fire and warmed her fingers. Everyone seemed to be out either seeing friends or still eating at the feast. Oh well she'd speak to Annie later about her holidays, considering she'd only seen her briefly at Krysta's party. Her attention was drawn away as she saw how pretty the reflection of the fire looked in her ring and she laughed at how petty and vain she had become in a matter of days.

Aidan went down the stairs from the dormitory, Zach following behind, and emerged into the Common Room. He recognized Bella and Sam, but they seemed pretty cosy there by the fire, so he didn't disturb them. In any case, he and Zach were anxious to explore their new school - and start meeting their fellow students - so they headed out of the common room and down the stairs.

Sam walked into the common room, surprising himself that he wasn't still at the table eating. He smiled when he saw Bella sitting by the fire, admiring her ring. He walked over and sat behind her, wrapping his arms around her middle. "Hey," he muttered into her hair. "How are you, my love?" Bella smiled as a familiar smell hit her nose. There was only one guy that she knew of with arms that strong that would smell that lovely. "Hey I didn't expect to see you for ages," she smirked, knowing that he would normally be one of the last to leave the table. "I'm fine, unbelievably happy and giddy and in love." She leant back into him slightly and shut her eyes for a moment enjoying the embrace. "And how are you?" |

Bella smiled as a familiar smell hit her nose. There was only one guy that she knew of with arms that strong that would smell that lovely. "Hey I didn't expect to see you for ages," she smirked, knowing that he would normally be one of the last to leave the table. "I'm fine, unbelievably happy and giddy and in love." She leant back into him slightly and shut her eyes for a moment enjoying the embrace. "And how are you?" Sam smiled. "Yeah I know. I surprised myself!" he chuckled softly. He was, pretty much, always one of the last ones to leave the Hall after dinner. Thank god for his good metabolism, and the fact he never stopped moving. or he'd be as big as the castle. "I'm great. Full with food, got the most beautiful girl in my arms, my ring on her finger, and I'm crazily in love. Couldn't be better," he said, smiling, moving his head as she leant back into him. He kissed the side of her neck softly, breathing in. She always smelt so good. |

"You surprise everyone," Bella giggled. "But I like surprises so I'm fine with it." She did like surprises, such as the ring on her finger that he had gotten her. Hearing that she was the most beautiful girl she shook her head, "No, Annie's just as pretty and Ceallach's gorgeous. But you are right, you're ring is on my finger and it's going to stay there forever. You're going to dissapoint a lot of girls when the word gets round that you're engaged." She smiled as her neck was kissed and then turned her head catching her lips in his. "Do we have to tell Kildara?"

Sam sighed. "Bella, babe. Annie's like my sister, I don't look at her like that. And, as for Ceallach, yes, she's gorgeous, stunning almost. There's a difference between beautiful and gorgeous. I would much rather beautiful. You are so much more real," he said, caressing her belly softly as he tightening his arms around her. "Does it look like I care about those other girls. No." He smiled as she turned her head and caught his lips. He groaned as she mentioned Kildara.
"Umm. I didn't think of that. We shouldn't have to," he said, shrugging his shoulders slightly.

"I know. I know, I think just having you has made me be a bit wary of all the other girls and I don't even know why. I mean, I'm jealous of my best mate, and that's just silly." She sighed as she felt his hands on her belly and moved herself slightly, getting comfortable. "No it doesn't," Bella said happily. Truthfully those girls would be hexed if he showed any interest in them, but he didn't need to know that. "Good because that means moving and I really don't want to move right now," she said kissing him again.

"Babe," he said, sighing softly. "You have nothing to worry about. Would I have proposed if I was thinking of going off with other girls?" he asked, quite seriously. He never even thought he'd look at a girl that way again, unless it was her of course. "I don't feel like moving either, unless it was up onto the couch. Or, to a bed somewhere," he grinned. He returned her kiss softly, lovingly. God, he loved her so much.

"No you wouldn't have," Bella said mentally hitting herself for bringnig it up. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been worried in the first place." She didn't have to worry about him going off, the ring on her finger sort of symbolised that he cared about her the most. And she wasn't going off anywhere either. "Well I wouldn't say the couch cause everyone's going to be coming in from dinner, but we could always go to the room of requirement," she said. Letting her hand move from his arms to his thigh she smiled, "And I'm pretty sure they'll have a bed spare though why you'd want a bed I have no idea."

Sam smirked devilishly. "Oh, I don't know why I'd want a bed either. How silly of me to mention it. So, either we stay here, and stay like this, and get distrurbed when people start coming in, or we go to the Room of Requirement, and be alone, no interruptions," he said, his lips brushing against her neck as he spoke, his hands moving slowly, caressing her belly softly, moving around it, up and down, going further up everytime.

"Oh decisions decisions," Bella laughed. There was a big part of her that wanted to stay but she knew that she would be disturbed if they stayed here. She mewed softly as she felt his lips against her neck and his hands going further up her body. "Right Room of Requirements it is," she said quickly before she lost full control of her emotions.

Sam smiled, chucking softly. "Alrighty then," he said, unwrapping his arms from her body and standing up, pulling her up into his arms. He kissed he hard, just once, then pulled back, grinning. He stepped back, taking her hand and leading her out of the Common Room and down to the Room of Requirement.

Annie walked in to the Ravenclaw common room and sat down in front of the fire, it felt good to be back here, this place were more her home than her grandparents house would ever be. She sat back and closed her eyes,letting the warmth from the fire wash over her.
