A group of tables off to the side where students can study outside of the Common Rooms and with the entire Library at their disposal.

Luke dipped the quill into the ink, renewing the ability to write. He wrote more of his Potions essay before looking back sadly at the mounds of homework he still had to go.

Aidan put his books down on an empty table, and sat down. Angel wasn't in the library yet, but her last class must have only just finished, so it would take her a bit longer to get here. He took out his Arithmancy text book and notebook. There was no point getting started on homework from another subject, so he rummaged in his backpack and took out his copy of Hogwarts: A History. He might as well start reading about the school, while he waited for Angel.

Angel walked into the library and made her way over to the study tables. Silly disruptive students had made the whole class be let out late, and part of her worried whether Aidan had gone to do better things with his time. Seeing him sitting there reading though, reassured her and she sat down at the table putting her bag on top. "It's a good book, isn't it," she said knowing most of the book by heart. It was a good thing to read about when you were bored and had nothing better to do. "Sorry I'm late, the class was held back for being 'extremly immature'."

Luke looked up, acknowledging one of the Fischer twins (he couldn't tell which one) and Angel Newell, another Hufflepuff. He broke his quill nib for the 5th time that hour and cursed, quite louder then he had meant to.

"Do I want to know what 'extremely immature' covers?" He set the book aside. "What I've read so far is interesting. Though history isn't really my subject." Luke looked up, acknowledging one of the Fischer twins (he couldn't tell which one) and Angel Newell, another Hufflepuff. He broke his quill nib for the 5th time that hour and cursed, quite louder then he had meant to. Aidan glanced up at the sound of a curse word, and jokingly reached to put his hands over Angel's ears. "Hey! There's a lady present," he said, grinning at Luke. He took his hands down, and smiled at Angel. "So. Where shall we start? Have you worked out any of your numbers yet?"

Luke dipped the quill into the ink, renewing the ability to write. He wrote more of his Potions essay before looking back sadly at the mounds of homework he still had to go. Mel entered the library, wincing as she heard a quill break. She rounded the corner and saw someone vaguely familiar, smiling as she saw Angel and Aiden together. The two would be together by easter at the rate they were going. She looked to the boy and then to the full desks along the line and sighed, "Spare seat?" She asked softly.

"I don't know, do you want to know about a group of boys who took of their shirts and jumped on the desks like a bunch of gorilla's?" Angel laughed as she got her Arithmancy books out. "History's alright as long as it's a subject that isn't too boring." Hearing Luke swear she looked up and then felt Aidan's hands go around her ears. "Well I did my life path number which is 8, but that's all I managed to do."

"Yeah, sure." he said, gesturing to a seat near his, but not to near. Luke couldn't talk to girls. At all. He discarded to quill and took out a new one.

Nathalie walked into the Study area, with a huge book in her arms. She looked around, trying to find a seat. The last one free was next to a Hufflepuff boy. Luke? She thought that was his name. "Will I disturb you if I sit here?" she asked. All she wanted to do was copy out some information so she didn't need a lot of space.

"No, it's fine, you're Nathalie, right?" he asked, he had nearly broken his quill again he had been so immersed in his work that he hadn't notice her entrance. Then he mentally slapped himself for going through all those pens when he could have fixed them magically.

"Yes, that's right. And you're - Luke? I'll try not to disturb you too much - I just want to make some notes from this book." She showed the book to him - Magic In The Early Middle Ages. It was one that her father didn't have in his library. Luke seemed a bit uncomfortable. "Are you sure it's okay to sit here? I could probably find space in the Ravenclaw common room, but this book is a bit heavy to lug all the way up the tower..."

"Yeah, I'm Luke. Really it's fine. Have you always been here? I have a horrible memory. That book looks interesting, very rigid times back then, with the muggles still scared to death and all." he said. "Much better then my potions essay."

"Yes, I've been here since First Year. I suppose I haven't mixed much, I'm usually up in the Ravenclaw common room when we don't have lessons. Yes, it's interesting. I suppose in some ways the Muggles were right to be scared, I mean some wizards did take advantage of them." She hesitated, wondering if she ought to have said that. If she'd said it at home, she'd have got into big trouble.

"Yeah, they did, they shouldn't have, but they did. I don't mix much either. So you're a Ravenclaw? Zeke's probably mentioned you, he mentions every girl." Luke smiled. "Desjardins." he said suddenly. "That's your last name? I think I read it on the Ancient Runes notice board. I signed up too, interesting subject. You're a pureblood then?"
