Raven walked into the library and headed over to the stacks, she was doing further research on Quidditch to see what she could and couldn't do if she played as Chaser. She walked forward not paying attention to what she was doing and accidently knocked someone over, she wasn't sure who it was. "Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention" She said.

Chris clambered to his feet and looked with dismay at the books scattered at his feet - most of the paper slips had fallen out. He'd have to go through them all again now! Exasperated, he looked up to see who had bumped into him, about to say something sarcastic, and his eyes widened. He hadn't realized that Raven was back. He shrugged. "Oh - don't worry. I - um - I suppose I wasn't looking either."

"So Chris....um..I was wondering if you wanted to go to the Easter Ball with me, that's unless you're already taking someone else" She said slightly fast. Raven could feel a warm pink flush come onto her cheeks and she tried to make it stop but she couldn't. She had a crush on Chris for ages, and she never told anyone.

For a moment, Chris just gaped at Raven, trying to get his head around the sudden change of subject. Did he hear right? Had she just asked him to the Easter Ball? "Uh... I... um..." Stop stammering and say yes, you idiot, he thought. He'd always thought Raven was attractive, once he'd almost flown into a goalpost during a flying lesson because he'd admiring the way Raven's ass looked on a broom! "Uh, no." What?? He hastily corrected himself. "I mean, no I'm not taking anyone else. I'd really like to go with you." He managed a slightly flustered smile.

Raven was literally doing backflips on the inside, she was so happy that Chris was going to take her to the Easter Ball, now she had to look absolutely perfect. "That's great, so..um, meet me that night in the dungeon corridor and we'll go there together." She said and smiled, then gave Chris a kiss on the cheek, turning around and heading out of the library.

Chris nodded, speechlessly, then blushed as Raven kissed him. He watched as she turned and headed out of the library. After a few minutes, he realized that a couple of first years were watching him, giggling. He must look a right idiot, standing here with a grin on his face. He bent and collected his books, and took them to one of the study tables. He began to flip through the pages, not really concentrating on what he was doing. Suddenly he stopped, looking dismayed. Now he'd need dress robes - or at least a tux. And he hated shopping for clothes. Well, it'd be worth it, now he actually had a date for the Ball!

Bella walked into the library and headed straight for the study tables, she had some stuff to plan out regarding the ball and what the girls would be doing in preparation for it. Seeing Chris though she stopped and smiled, sitting down next to him. "What's the long face for?" she asked. "Have you finally realised spiders aren't as cool as they seem?" She was never going to let him forget how he'd teased her when he was in his first year and she in her second.

Chris looked up and grinned. He and Isabella had been friends since he started Hogwarts; he'd put a huge spider on her, for fun, and after she'd stopped freaking out, she had decided he needed a crash course in how to behave in the wizard world. A muggle-born, he hadn't even known Hogwarts existed till he got his letter a few days before term began. He chuckled. "Nah, I still think they're cool. Hey, I've got a tarantula in my pocket if you want to see..." he teased. "But thanks to you, I'll always remember not to cosy up to a Venomous Tentacula!" He shook his head. "Oh, I'm just wondering what to do about dress robes for the Easter Ball. I hate buying clothes!"

Bella shook her head as he said they were cool. What he saw in spiders she had no clue. "No thank you," she said quickly moving away just a little, even though she knew he was probably teasing. "Well if you're not careful and do show me a tarantula I will make you cosy up to a Tentacula without you even knowing it." She laughed, remebering how he'd almost gotten himself killed in herbology by going near one of those. "Dress robes? You're going to the ball? Who with?" she asked interested. "If you want some input I'll help you search for stuff. I love clothes shopping. It's fun!"

Chris grinned at her reaction. He hadn't put a spider on her since that first time, but she was still jumpy around him when the subject came up. When she offered to help him, he looked relieved. "That'd be great. Yeah, I'm going to the Ball. Ummm, I'm going with Raven Athlon!" He still couldn't quite believe she'd asked him!

Bella smiled weekly as he grinned back at her. Honestly her phobia still got to her. "Good just tell me whenever you want to go looking for clothes and I'll make sure I can help." She looked surprised as Chris said who he was going with. "Raven! Wow!" She thought for a few moments before looking at him curiously. "Do you like her? And I don't mean just as a friend?"

Chris felt himself blushing. "Well, um - yeah, I guess I do. I mean, I hadn't thought about it much before, but I've always thought she was... well, you know! Pretty and - I don't know, there's something about her. But she was the one who asked me! Do you think... well, was she just making sure she had a date for the Ball, or could she really like me?" He was glad he could get a girl's opinion about it; you never knew what girls were really thinking.

Awwww! Bella thought as she saw Chris blushing. It was really sweet and considering how long she'd known him, it was nice to see him with a girl. "Well I'll admit she is pretty, although I'm pretty sure I don't see her the same way you do," she said jokingly. She continued to listen and then thought about it leaning back slightly in her chair. This was one reason it was good being friends with guys, she could help them understand her girl friends better. "Well considering I know how Raven feels about you, I'm pretty sure it wasn't just making a date for the ball." She didn't answer his question exactly but she'd ruled out one of the two options.

The shelves were dusty but the book were much more interesting than the sewing manuals and home economic books they had at Beauxbatons. But Daniele Walken's thoughts couldn't have been further from paperbacks. Her emotions mingled somewhere between frustration and sadness. She was confused partly but really just wanted to talk to someone. Her mother as always was intimate with her students than with ehr daughter. Understandable, Dani wasn't the most perfect of daughters but then again every girl wants to think their mothers are their for them. She scowled slightly, fingering the leatherbound beauties. She pulled one out, slipping to the floor wishing desperately someone was still what he used to be.

Krysta pulled the book out her bag as she wove her way through the stacks. Finally finding the aisle she needed she froze when she saw that Daniele girl browsing the books. She hovered on the spot for a moment not wanting to go any closer or have the girl notice her. But she had to put the book back. Drawing herself up tall and taking a deep breath she strode confidently down the aisle and scanned the row of books for the space her book had come from.
