"Rose, I cannot tell you that for sure. No one truly knows, but I sense it could be happening and soon" She said, very seriously. This was not a matter to be joked around about, this was a matter of life and death for some people.

Astrid headed into the library, which is where she usually spent time now. It was quite peaceful and she could just either write or read there. She headed over to one of the large stacks of books, looking for one that would interest her.

Jennifer walked into the Library, desperate for something to read. She'd read all the books she'd come with, now she needed another one. She was absent-mindedly skimming through the shelves, when she accidentally knocked into another girl.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry," she said, reaching out to make sure the girl didn't fall over. "I'm so sorry," she said again. "I'm Jennifer by the way." She gave the girl a smile, hoping she hadn't offended her or hurt her.

"Its alright, it happens, no big deal. My name's Astrid, its nice to meet you Jennifer" She said and returned the smile. She straightened out her robes and fixed her tie. Well, she definately hadn't expected to be run into, but she was used to it so it wasn't a huge deal to her anymore.

"Hi Astrid. Nice to meet you," Jennifer said, holding out her hand for the other girl to take, her French accent more pronounced than ever. She looked at the girl's tie. "You're a Ravenclaw too. Cool."

Astrid smiled then extended her own hand and shook Jennifer's. "Yep, I'm a Ravenclaw. 7th year Ravenclaw to be exact" She figured that she should be friendly, because this girl was also a Ravenclaw and she was never rude to anyone in her own house.

"Yep, I'm a Ravenclaw. 7th year Ravenclaw to be exact" She figured that she should be friendly, because this girl was also a Ravenclaw and she was never rude to anyone in her own house. "Cool. I'm a 6th Year. Transfer from Beauxbatons." Jennifer gave the other girl a smile. She'd started to get into the laid-back Hogwarts life. Everything was so much different here than Beauxbatons. Everyone at her old school were so highly strung. |

"Interesting, I was just about to ask if you came from Beauxbatons, I recognized the French accent" She said. "I've been at Hogwarts for the past 6 years, and I just love it here. So, how was it at Beauxbatons?" Astrid asked curiously, she had heard rumors that the school was strict, but she wasn't sure if they were true.

"Ugh. I'm trying to get rid of the stupid accent. I hate it. So distinctive. Beauxbatons is strict. There's not really another word for it. Snobby and high-strung, maybe. To be honest, they'd all think Hogwarts was a dump. I have to admit, I did when I first got here. The Beauxbatons Palace is beautiful. Absolutely stunning. As are all the people. I'm rather plain compared to them." Jennifer spoke animatedly, her hands moving, her facial expressions pronounced. She loved her old school. The beauty of it was astounding. The people though, now she'd gotten used to Hogwarts, were horrid.

"Ah so the rumors were true, I heard Beauxbatons was strict, that's sorta why I asked, to find out if the rumors flying around the school were true." She said, and laughed. "So, what are some of your interests?" Astrid asked curiously, she was always a very curious girl which was a great thing most times.

"My interests?" Jennifer began. "Umm. Reading. I do a bit of writing. Story writing. I'm also starting to invent my own potions." She said, rather proudly. "How about you?"

"I love music, like singing and stuff, also reading, writing poetry, writing short stories among other things" She said and smiled. Hmm it seemed like Jennifer and her could become friends, as long as they both could get along with each other then it seemed possible.

Chris edged his way between the towering shelves of books. He'd just spent an hour finding some books for a History of Magic essay, and had carefully marked the pages with slips of parchment. Now if only he could get back to his study table without dropping them all...
