Aidan grinned, sitting down. "Yeah, I heard that a lot of people didn't do the homework. I'm guessing you did yours, if you're not expecting to get yelled at. Or are you only just starting the class?" He watched, slightly mesmerised, as she shook her hair loose, then pinned it back up. He laughed at her next question. "I guess you could call it compensation. If I get sick from drinking, I don't have a hangover the next day. Or maybe it was the huge jug of water that Zach made me drink when he got me back to our dormitory. Anyway, I feel pretty good today. I probably look a lot better than I did last night," he added with a grin. "I'm only just starting," Angel explained. "I was doing Ancient Runes, but I couldn't fully understand it, so I asked Kildara whether I could change and she said yes." She was so thankful right now, especially if it meant sitting next to Aidan each lesson. "I'm guessing the water, but you're lucky. I think Bella would kill to have that ability. Although she does look better than last night which is always a good thing." She looked at Aidan and then nodded with a small smile. "Just a bit. Your eyes are brighter for one thing, and your skin isn't as clammy as it was last night."

"I am happy for you, it's really nice. Wow, that would be so cool if you actually got married at Hogwarts." When he heard her explanation, Chris looked surprised. "Oh! I didn't see the announcement, I just knew about the class from my timetable. But - well, I did the homework. So maybe I'm okay. I thought I might have done it really badly or something." Chris grinned with relief, and began to take his books out of his schoolbag. "Thanks Chris," Bella said happily. Where was Sam? She looked around trying to spot him but he hadn't come in yet. Well if he didn't turn up then why did she have to? "I know, but I'd have to talk to Sam and Professor Snape first." She smiled and shook her head. "I doubt you've done badly on your homework, but I think you might have been teh only one who did do it. So, whatever Professor Snape says, just ignore her okay?"

Sam walked into the classroom and smiled at Kildara. He knew he was in trouble, but why give the woman even more reason to be angry. "Morning Professor," he said cheerfully. He walked over to Bella and gave her a quick kiss on the head before sitting next to her, a little apprehensive at seeing Kildara go off.

Ceallach walked into the class, hoping she wasn't late. From rumours, Kildara was angry, and sure enough, when Ceallach looked up to say hello, Dara looked pissed off. "Morning Professor," she said, before taking a seat near the back of the room.

Jennifer walked in and smiled at the Professor, taking a seat at the back. She was happy in the knowledge that the rumoured scalding wasn't directed at her!

Adam walked slowly into the classroom. He doubted whether Professor Snape would accept his excuse, of 'family problems over the holidays' ... Stupid parents causing him to get in trouble! He smiled at the professor and took a seat to the side, waiting.

Ezekiel ambled into the class, hoping to Merlin he wasn't late. He didn't want to give Professor Snape anymore reason to be angry at him! Taking a seat he looked up at the professor, bracing himself for the onslaught.

Kildara turned her eyes on Sam and gave him a small smile. "Morning Sam," she said shortly. She thought he would have been one of the ones to hand in the homework, but, he too, had disappointed her. Jennifer walked in and smiled at the Professor, taking a seat at the back. She was happy in the knowledge that the rumoured scalding wasn't directed at her! Ceallach walked into the class, hoping she wasn't late. From rumours, Kildara was angry, and sure enough, when Ceallach looked up to say hello, Dara looked pissed off. "Morning Professor," she said, before taking a seat near the back of the room. Dara smiled as Jennifer and Ceallach walked in. Poor girls. She gave them both smiles, then turned as more people walked in. As Adam and Ezekiel walked in, she shook her head. They both knew they'd done something wrong, and it annoyed her even more when they looked so guilty. When everyone was seated, she decided to start. "Morning class. I trust you all had a good holiday. Obviously, because they seemed to have been so good, that each and everyone of you, except for Chris, managed to forget you had homework. You had near on 3 weeks to do it, and no one did. I'm sorry to all the new students in the class that have to put up with this. I had planned a rather fun class for the first one back. But, you all don't really deserve it. So, as punishment, you will all, except for Chris, and the new students, be writing the essay, to be handed in at the end of the class. Start. And I don't want to hear any complaining."

Bella smiled as Sam sat next to her, happy that he had turned up before she feigned sickness and went back to bed. She sighed as she heard Kildara say what they had to do. It wasn't fair, she'd been busy doing things, but oh well. "I think Kildara saw the ring," she whispered to Sam as she got out her parchment. At least the others didn't have to do it though, they were the lucky ones.

Sam stifled a groan as Kildara spoke. Trust her. He sighed and got out his book and writing stuffs and put it on his desk. Jeez. Opening his book to the right page, he sighed heavily. Bella smiled as Sam sat next to her, happy that he had turned up before she feigned sickness and went back to bed. She sighed as she heard Kildara say what they had to do. "Yeah it was sparkling in the lights and if looks could kill you'd probably have a dead fiancee right now," Bella replied not taking her eyes or her quill off of her parchment. Kildara had said nothing about talking, and it wasn't as if she wasn't working as well. As she finished the first paragraph she turned her pages and went to the next section of the book. At least she hadn't yelled at them though, this was less painful than Professor Blackthorn's punishment.

"Great' Because having a dead fiancee would have been so useful to me," he said, trying not to laugh. He made sure he kept his head down, doing his work. He didn't want another reason for Dara to be angry at him.

He returned her smile, as she said he looked better. "Thanks. And I'm sure the fact that I'm not throwing up is an improvement too!" Jennifer walked in and smiled at the Professor, taking a seat at the back. She was happy in the knowledge that the rumoured scalding wasn't directed at her! Aidan glanced up as Jennifer walked in. He grinned to himself, remembering her reaction to him at breakfast. Apparently she disapproved of his table manners. As she came near his desk, he looked up at her and put on his most charming smile. "Good morning again," he said. Maybe she'd think he was Zach....

Jennifer looked over a smiled slightly, sitting down in the desk next to one of the twins. Which one was he? s**t! She took a chance at which one it was. "Let's hope your manners are better in class than they were at the table," she said, a slight smirk playing across her lips. God she hoped he was that one. She looked at him closer. Yep, she'd picked right, he still had egg on his chin.

Aidan felt a bit disconcerted. Most people couldn't tell them apart at first, but apparently Jennifer could. He saw her looking at him closely, and he was suddenly aware of something on his chin. He rubbed it, and discovered that he'd had a smear of egg on his chin. Real smooth, he thought. He seemed to be making all the wrong impressions on the girls now he was actually at Hogwarts. Oh well, he'd just have to work harder to get back into her good books. He smiled at her. "I'll try to follow Zach's example," he promised.
