Professor Snape's Office

[Emilia Pettigrew]

Emilia felt it hard to breathe, as Kildara stood in front of her. She didn't seem to let her go. She knew, that they couldn't find another potions teacher so quickly, but she didn't want to think that it was the only reason. She kept looking in her eyes, wanting her to see how desperate she was. She clutched her nails deep into her palms and closed her eyes, thinking about Kelly. "I'll stay" she almost whispered the words. "It isn't going to be easy, but I'll stay. Because of you, my lady and because of Kelly. I'm not going to be fine, but I'll live through it then" she had opened her eyes and was gazing at Dara.

Kildara breathed a sigh of relief, and released her grip around Emilia's wrists, leaving red marks behind, as Emilia said she'd stay. She collapsed into the chair she had vacated. Why was she so tired today? "Thank you Emilia. I don't know what I would have done if you'd left. I need you here. But, remember, if you ever need to talk, my door is always open for you," she said, twisting her head, to look at the other woman in the chair beside her.

Caeleb walked up to Dara's office and knocked on the door. He didn't even know if she was in. But he had to talk to her about this. He had no idea what she would say or feel about it, but he had already decided to do whatever she wished.

Kildara walked down the corridor to her office, smiling. She was so glad Charli was back! She'd missed her friend. Their cells had been beside each other's and she was pretty sure they'd kept each other sane. She looked up as she walked closer, her smile widening, and her eyes lighting up, almost going clear, when she saw Caeleb.
"Caeleb!" she exclaimed, happily, throwing herself at him. She was in a good mood. Then she looked at him. "What's up?" she said, before letting him go and opening the door to her office, stepping back to let him in, before shutting and locking the door behind her. She sat on the front of her desk, as always, and motioned for him to sit in the chair in front of her. "What's up?" she asked again.

Caeleb was astonished when Dara threw herself at him.
"Steady, love, someone might see." he chuckled as she ushered him inside her office. He took his usual seat and looked up at her with a smile. Seeing her made his day a bit better.
"I wanted to talk to you about the Ball." he began, reaching out for her hands and wrapping them up in his. "Obviously we can't go together. The question is should I still go? Some girl asked me to go with her and my instant reaction was: "Why?". I mean if I can't go with you, why bother going at all? But then it occured to me that there are a lot of rumours going around about us. Maybe if I was seen with someone else it may help disperse those rumours." he settled back, stroking her fingers softly to see what she thought. "What do you think? I'll do whatever you ask, you know I will." he added, reassuringly.

Kildara smiled, as Caeleb took her hands in his. Every part of them just seemed to fit together perfectly. Her impossibly happy day, had just got even better.
"The ball..." she murmured. "To be honest I didn't think of that. I have to go. And so do you . You're a prefect. I think you should take this girl. As you said, might help to get rid of the rumours." She slid her legs up onto the chair, and through the arms of it, sliding off the desk, and down onto his lap. "Please go." she said quietly, looking into his face. "Who will I have to look at if you're not there," she chuckled, her tongue poking out between her teeth. "Who is she? So I know who to expect."

He nodded as she spoke. She was right. It would look extremely odd if the Slytherin Prefect didn't go. A huge smirk spread across his face as she slid onto his lap. He ran his hands up her thighs, resting them on her hips.
"Well I'm really going to find it hard to stare at you all night. You'll undoubtedly look spectacular." he mused, teasing her a little.
"It's Nathalie...something." I'm not even sure what her last name is. It's French or Spanish or something. She smelt of money, if that helps." he told her with a grin. "She's a Ravenclaw. Younger than me. 5th or 6th year I think. I was surprised to be honest. I've never even spoken to her before." he said with a shrug.

Kildara sighed softly as Caeleb slid his hands up her thighs to her hips. The smallest touch, and she was gone. She smiled, resting her arms on his shoulders. "Well, of course I will," she laughed. "I've got my dress, and all the extras," she added, sighing softly. "I'm sure you'll look dashing.
Nathalie. Nathalie. She thought over in her head. "Nathalie Desjardins?" she asked. That was the only one like the girl he was describing in Ravenclaw. "She's pretty. As least she'll make you look good," she teased, biting her lips softly. Then she sighed. "I've got no one. I'm sure I could find someone."

Caeleb felt Dara sigh as he touched her and he smiled. He loved that he could do that to her. His eyes darkened as she talked about her dress.
"All the extras?" he enquired miscievously. "I hope you don't mean your mask." he added, running his hands over her hips and waist, imagining her in a basque or corset. He knew Dara was going to look absolutely stunning at the Ball and was almost jealous that everyone would get to see her, that they wouldn't know she belonged to him.
"I wish you could be on my arm." he sighed sadly. "I would be the proudest man the earth has ever seen." he told her seriously. He smiled softly. "I shall have to settle for sneaking you away for a secret kiss." he joked, though wished he could actually do that.
"Nathalie may make me look good, but only one lady can make me feel good." he said playfully, squeezing her hips and a*se with a naughty smile.

Kildara tipped her head back, chuckling softly. "I definately don't mean my mask," she chuckled teasingly. She bit her lip to stop her from making a noise as his hands ran over her hips and waist. She was beginning to breath heavy. Sh esighed as he spoke, nodding her head. "I know. I wish I could go with you. You know if this Ball was next year we would have nothing to worry about. Technically. You wouldn't be a student anymore," she said, shrugging her shoulders. But it wasn't next year, and they stil had this problem. How could something so perfect be perceived as so wrong, by most people. "You better sneak me away. I don't think I'll be able to last the whole night. If you don't, I - I'll never talk to you again," she chuckled. He was safe, there was no way she wouldn't talk to him. She moaned as he squeezed her ass. She mirrored his smile, wrapping her legs around the back of the chair, pulling her closer to him, making her moan again. He kept her eyes on his face, and ran her tongue over her bottom lip. Her arms tightening around his neck.

He chuckled with amusement. She was insatiable, though he knew he wasn't helping the matter. He sighed.
"Even if it was next year it wouldn't look good. Tongues would still wag." he told her reaslistically. His smile became another mischievous grin as she said he had to sneak out to see her at the Ball.
"Well when you put it like that, how can I possibly refuse?" he asked as she slid her legs around the back of his chair and pulled herself closer to him. He wrapped his arms around her waist as he hands went around his neck and he reached up to kiss her playfully.

Kildara laughed. "You'd better not refuse," she chuckled. His arms went around her waist, and she sighed as he leaned up and kissed her, returning it just as playfully, nipping at his bottom lip, her hands gliding through his hair, nails raking over his neck. "I love you," she murmured, smiling softly, as she broke away to look at him.

"Mmmm." sighed Caeleb as she returned the kiss. He chuckled as she nibbled his lip and plafully snapped his teeth at hers. When she broke to speak he closed his eyes, a content smile still on his lips. Everytime she told him she loved him he felt like he could die peacefully from happiness.
"I love you too." he said softly, opening his eyes to look into hers. He stroked his fingers down her face and siftly caught her chin between them. He pulled her face gently towards his and met her lips with his own in a tender kiss.

Kildara sighed, a smile slipping onto her happy face, her heart fluttering uncontrollably, as he returned those words that seemed to come so easily now, but still meant the same thing as they did when they'd first said them.
She returned his gaze, her ice blue eyes staring into his dark ones, as his fingers stroked down her face. She let her face be pulled to his. "I love you so much," she breathed quickly before their lips touched, and she returned the kiss, just as tenderly. In that moment, she realised that this was definately not one of her passing feelings. She would love him until she died.

Her whispered words just before their lips met pulled at his heart and he pulled her tight against him, his hands running up her back and through her hair. He kissed her passionately and it wasn't long before his body began to react. He moaned softly, the intensity of the kiss making his head swim.
"Dara I have class in 5 minutes." he groaned, barely breaking his lips from hers before delving straight back into the kiss. This was torture. He just wanted to sit here with the love of his life in his arms but he knew he and to leave. He broke the kiss again. "Baby...we can't...I have to go." he moaned, hating the words coming out of his own mouth. How could he voluntarily leave her? It was going to take will power he wasn't sure he had.
