Professor Snape's Office

Kildara sighed, straightening in her chair, sitting defiantly. As he spoke, however, she deflated. She knew she was being stupid, but she couldn't help it. She stood up, and practically ran over to him. She stood close, but then started pounding her fists on his chest. She didn't even know why she was, just was just so angry, more at herself than anything else. She let tears fall from her eyes. Hot, angry tears, then her resolve gave way, and she slid her arms around his neck. "I'm so sorry. I'm so stupid," she sobbed, her voice muffled by his neck.

Kelly knocked on professor Snape's door. She didn't want to see her inside the school, nevertheless talk about prefect duties. More than one times had she thought about giving the position up, but it still had something charming about being a prefect. She stood outside the office and waited.

Kildara unwrapped herself from around Caeleb's neck and sighed. She gave him a look, then walked over to the door. Opening it, she held back a groan.
"Kelly. The meeting's over. Thank you," she said, starting to close the door again. She didn't want to talk to Kelly, and, she could gaurentee Kelly didn't want to talk to her. She sighed, closing the door completely. She groaned again and walked back over to Caeleb, this time just standing in front of him, feeling very small and insignificant compared to him.

[Caeleb Dracus]

Caeleb was only mildly shocked when Dara amrched over to him and began punching his chest. He just let her do it. allowing her to get her frustration out. When finally she stopped and began to cry he slid his arms around her and held her close. He buried his face in her hair and rocked her slightly, swaying on the spot.
"Don't apologise. It's understandable. Just know that I only love one person and she's the one who just gave me severe bruising." he told her, ending with a slight chuckle. He stroked her hair and kissed her forehead softly.
He looked around sharply when there was a knock at the door. He allowed Dara to leave his arms, taking a step back so the visitor wouldn't see him. He scowled when he realised it was Kelly, but smirked when Dara sent her away so abruptly.
He took Dara back into his arms chuckling softly.
"Nicely handled my love. He told her, planting a tender kiss on her lips. He regretfully pulled away looking at her apologetically. "I'm sorry to have to leave you, but I have class." he told her sadly.

Kildara felt Caeleb's arms go around her, and his voice speaking to her. "I'm so sorry," she muttered, her voice still muffled by his neck. She sighed, settling a bit as he stroked her hair and kissed her forehead. The gesture was so tender, considering she'd just pounded on his chest, and more than likely left bruises.

When she returned from the door, and stood in front of him, she sighed as he took her into his arms again, she slid her hands over his chest, feeling bad for punching him. She slid her arms around his neck again and lay her head on his shoulder. She lifted her head again, just in time for him to kiss her. She let out a tiny moan as she responded. She loved him so much. She groaned when he pulled away, and she gave him her best puppy dog eyes as he said he had to leave. "Bugger," she said quietly

[Caeleb Dracus]

"Hey not my fault, I don't make the rules, Headmistress." he grinned at her. He caught her hands as he stepped away and kissed them. He walked over to the door and turned to look at her once more before opening it and slipping out.

Kildara groaned as he got her with her own rules. She sighed as he kissed her hands. "See you then," she groaned, watching him walk to the door. She gave him a smile as he turned around, then sighed as he slipped out the door. She groaned as questions were pelted at her from all directions. "Shut up!" she yelled. "One at a f**king time," she groaned.
"Who is he?" Phineas Nigellus piped up.
Kildara groaned again. That would have to be the first question. "He's a Slytherin Prefect. And just so happens to be the love of my life," she growled.
"A student? And I thought you could sink no lower," another portrait sneered.
She turned and shot him a look that made him slink out of his frame.
"I don't want to hear it! You don't rule over me and my decisions!" she groaned and then she stalked off into her room. Stupid f**king portraits.

[Emilia Pettigrew]

Emilia walked towards the headmistress's office. Her heart felt heavy and she didn't want to do it, but she had no other choice. She walked in silence and with her head lowered. She was passed by Caeleb, so she hoped Kildara was in a good mood. She approached the office, when she saw a figure standing there. She frowned as she drew closer to her.

[Kelly Black]

Kelly was taken aback by Kildara's behaviour. She gritted her teeth as she stood behind the door. She sneered at Caeleb, when he passed her by to go to class and turned to leave herself, when she saw someone coming. It was Emilia. Kelly's smile widened, as she passed her "So, kill anyone lately?" She walked away, laughing even more, whem she heard the answer.

Emilia forced her lips tight together, as she got closer to Kelly. It was her luck that she saw she was turning away to leave. Emilia let out a sigh, but she had to regret it, as soon as Kelly spoke. "You're gonna be the only person, I'm going to kill, Kelly!" she screamed after her, which apparently made Kelly laugh even more. She dropped her head again, taking a deep breath. She knocked on the hard wooden door.

Kildara came back out of her room just in time to hear a knock on the door. She walked over to it and opened it.
"Emilia! What are you doing here? Is anything wrong?" she said, ushering the other woman into her office and into a chair, moving into the chair beside it.

Emilia looked at Kildara for a moment, before facing the floor again. "Why didn't you tell me, you hired him?" she asked quietly, still avoiding her look. "You should've told me. I should've known. Now I have no other choice than to ask your permission to leave the school. I can't continue teaching while he's here. I'll be a threat to myself, other teachers and the students." Only now she looked at Kildara "Dara, you should've known better, before you took him here."

Kildara sighed aggressively. "I'm not giving you permission to leave, Emilia. I'm sorry I hired him. I really didn't want to, but we needed a Care of Magical Creatures teacher, and he was the only applicant. Emilia, darling, only you can make yourself a threat. Only you can decide you can't be here if he is. I know you still love him, that much is obvious. These are your decisions Emilia. Be a child and run away from it. Or be the mature young woman I know you are, and suck it up. Bring yourself through. If you need someone to talk to, if you need someone at all, you know where my door is. All you have to do is knock." Sh eleant over and placed a hand on Emilia's arm in a gesture of confidence in Emilia's ability to get over it.

Emilia sighed, as Kildara's eyes seemed to burn everything inside of her. She opened her mouth many times, to say something, but Kildara just couldn't be interrupted. When she placed her hand over Emilia's, she finally found the words to say. "I am making my own decisions." She tried hard to force her voice calm, but she felt like crying again. "And I am not running away. I can't be around him, when I know that he's in love with someone else. I can't look at Liz anymore, because I know about them. I'm going to freak out every single time I see them and even worse, when they happen to be together." She tried to hold back her tears, but she knew her eyes were watery already. "You know how hard it was for me, after I changed sides. I hoped I'd never have to see him again, and now you go and do something like that!" She didn't want to yell at Dara, but she hoped she knew what she was going through. She kneeled down on the floor in front of her, took both her hands and looked up at her, almost pleading "Please, either let me leave, or kill me."

Kildara exhaled heavily, looking down at Emilia. She pulled the other woman up, and guided her back to her chair. She stood in front of her, her long slender fingers clasped tightly around Emilia's wrists. "Emilia. I'm not letting you leave. And I'm going to kill you. And I'm sure as hell not going to let you kill yourself. If you do, I'll bring you back, and make you teach," she half growled. None of this was getting through to Emilia. "You see, this happens. I'm sure if I saw James with someone else, I'd freak out as well. But, we're not together anymore, so it's his decision," she said, taking a deep breath. The thought of James with someone else killed her. Even though she had someone else. "Emilia. I thought you were strong enough, and mature enough, to get yourself through this. I know how much you loved him, how much you still love him. You're like an open book. But, as much as we love someone, there comes a time, when we have to learn to let them go."
