Staff Room

As you open the door you are faced with a round room with a cosy fire in the corner. Squishy armchairs are scattered around the room and tables ar all around, for holding drinks food, books or schoolwork. There is a table in the corner holding bottles of Butterbeer and platters of food.

Come in and rest.

Kildara walked into the Staff Room, dropping into one of the armchairs. She produced a small bottle of Firewhiskey from her robes and drank straight from it. This was ridiculous. She was going to have to get over it one of these days. Her mind wandered to James. What was he doing right now? Stop it! she yelled at herself. She sighed and rested back into the chair. She stoppered the bottle again and put it on the table beside her. She turned her thoughts to that night with Caeleb, immediately puuting a smile on her face, erasing all other thoughts from her mind.

Elizabeth hurried into the staff room looking around for Kit. She'd checked her office and she wasn't there, so unless she was doing an apparation test or talking to Emilia she'd be in here.
God Liz you need to calm down she told herself. She didn't even know why she was worrying. It wasn't like it was a proper date was it? Then again, she had kissed him. Groaning she sank into a chair and fiddled with her hair, trying to sort things out.

Kit wandered casually into the staff room, immediately heading for the coffee. She poured herself a cup, adding milk and sugar before turning to find somewhere to sit. She saw Dara siting by herself and casually turned away from her, grimmacing. She was one lady she definitely wanted to avoid right now, considering she'd just done with her ex fiancée.
She saw Liz sitting in a chair watching her with a desperate expression on her face and went over to her, taking a seat opposite her.
"What's up with you?!" she asked. Something was obviously bothering her.

Kildara looked up as Kit walked in. She couldn't sit here while the both of them were here. She wasn't in the mood. So she put her bottle back into her pocket and stood up, walking out of the room, without so much as a hello, or goodbye.

Liz looked up hearing Kit's voice and was startled for a second to see her sitting in front of her. "I've either just done something extremely rash, or I've done something good and I have know idea." Seeing the expression on Kit's face she took a deep breathe.
"Right, I went down to see Simon to see if he'd help out in my lesson on Aminagus transfiguration," she explained. "And then we got to talking about dragons, and Krys and animagi." Then everything went topsy turvey "Then he said he'd like my help doing something tonight but when i asked him what he came out with the usual, 'I'd have to kill you' thing, but instead of saying 'kill' he said 'kiss'." She groaned and ran her hands through her hair. "And well, I kissed him. So now I'm meeting up with him at 8 o'clock to go see the unicorns and I know nothing about him except that he's amazing and looks really really good!"
She fell silent as Kildara walked past but ignored her. If she wasn't going to say anything, neither was she. "Kit what am I to do? I don't even think he likes me!"

Kit stared at her for a second. She had kissed Simon. Up until that part of Liz's story she had been smiling, even laughing when she heard of Simon's freudian slip.
But when Liz had told her about the kiss it felt like a bucket of ice had been poured over her. What did that mean? It was a good question. Kit couldn't process her own emotions right now. She'd felt like this when Simon and Emilia had started seeing each other too. She pushed it all away and tried to focs on what her friend was asking her.

"Well...when you kissed him, did he return the kiss? Did he push you away? Or did he just stand there looking like he'd been slapped around the face with a wet fish?" she asked, snickering slightly.

Liz watched Kit's reaction carefully. She detected a change in emotion as she mentioned the kiss, but didn't know what to fully make of it.
"Shut up," she laughed shaking her head. "No for you information he didn't stand there like he'd been slapped by a wet fish, but he didn't push me away or return the kiss." She was extremely confused and that was why. If he had pushed her away, she would've known what to do.

Kit thought about Simon's reaction to the kiss. She knew Simon pretty well. He was a gentleman and he was humble.
"Well...I think you just caught him off-guard with the kiss. The fact the he slipped the word kiss in by accident shows that that's what was actually on his mind. So that's promising. Also he arranged to meet you later so he definitely likes you. If you'd kissed him and he didn't like you he'd have cancelled the plans to try and avoid you." she summised. It certainly sounded like Simon was interested in Liz and he could understand why. Their personalities were perfectly matched. The more she thought about it the more right they seemed for each other.

"I'd say go for it." said Kit wth a big smile.

Liz sighed, her mind still going back to that kiss. She couldn't decide whether he was just being friendly or whether he actually had feelings for her. "Yeah that's what I thought, which is why I actually kissed him in the first place."She knew Kit knew Simon the best and she was right in coming to her. "Thanks Kit, well then I better go get ready." she stood up happily and walked to the door and then paused. "Kit, what exactly do I wear to go looking at unicorns?" she asked.

Kit laughed at the questioning look on Liz's face."Sturdy shoes, you're going into the forest." she suggested. "And a nice sweater, it's cold in there." she added. "The Unicorns don't generally care what you wear...and I'm sure Simon won't either." she added with a sly smile.

David walked in the staff room and liked it immediately. Very cozy and warn. He pulled out his text book to do some studying (as teachers must do). Sitting on the couch he briefly looked around before focusing on the book.

Kildara walked into the staff room, greatly satisfied after meeting with Caeleb. She was rather annoyed to see that there was someone else in here but smiled when she saw who it was.
"David!" she exclaimed, walking over to the man and sitting in the chair beside her. "How are you, dear?" she asked happily. She was in a good mood right now!

"Adjusting." he said, smiling at the Headmistress. "Your school is very extraordinary, Madam Snape. Much... warmer then Drumstrang." He said, standing up and inclining his neck.

Kildara laughed. "Extraordinary. Why thank you. And please, call me Kildara, or Dara. Which ever. And sit," she said, tugging on his arm to make him take his seat again. "Yes, well we have an interesting set up here, what with me as Headmistress and all my teachers the ones that put me in Azkaban in the first place. Very interesting conversation. You'll find the students have split themselves into sides. These are dangerous times, that you've walked in on David. Oh, and I meant to thank you for your support. It's greatly appreciated," she said, giving him a smile, hoping he'd catch on to what she meant by support.
