The Lawns

[Alycya Weasley]

"Four months! Wow. Congratulations," Alycya exclaimed. She watched Andrew and Ellie for a moment, before turning away slightly, but not making it obvious what she was doing. She looked back when Ellie spoke to her. She laughed. "Not always a bad thing," she shrugged. She didn't know what to say.

Ellie smiled at Alycya. "Thanks, though I'm slightly nervous about it." She looked at Andrew, only he knew the reason she didn't want the baby, sure she loved their child, she just didn't want him or her to grow up with the war going on, especially since she would be putting them in danger. She looked at Alycya, an eye brow raised. "Alycya, is something the matter?"

Alycya shook her head ass Ellie asked if something was wrong. "no. Of course not. Nothing's wrong," she said, probably a little too fast, in her haste cover herself. "So, do you know if its a girl or boy yet?" she asked, trying to turn the subject back.

Ellie raised an eyebrow, something was wrong, and she hated not knowing. She shook her head, she wouldn't use that, not on a friend, or hopefully a soon to be friend. "We decided to keep it a surprise." She told her and looked at Andrew, wondering what might be wrong, why Alycya was acting like that. "So what year are you in?"

"Surprises are good. That would be the way to do it," Alycya commented. That's the way she would do it. She saw Ellie look at Andrew, and she sighed, looking away again. "Oh. I'm in sixth," she answered. She guessed Ellie must be the same, seeing as Andrew was. Jeez! Alycya getagrip!

Ellie smiled again and nodded. "That's how we thought it would be." She looked at her with a raised eyebrow again as she looked away yet again. "I'm a sixth year as well, excited to graduate soon?" She asked before words that didn't belong to her floated her way. She tilted her head to the side, she didn't mean to hear them, but they came just as stong anyway. Perhaps if she gotten closer to her she would say what was wrong, or maybe think it anyway.

"Yeah. Of course. Not excited about leaving though," Alycya laughed. "Going back to living with Muggles is hard." She gave Ellie a smile, stretching her legs out in front of her. Alycya. Stop being stupid. You're too late. Deal with it!

Ellie looked at the girl sympethically. "Better than going to a home full of pure blood lovers and muggle haters." She said and let out a soft sigh, she hated her family with a passion. She listened to Alycya's thoughts again and stared at her. "What are you late for?" She asked before she could stop herself.

Alycya shrugged. "Yeah, that wouldn't do me any good now would it. Both my parents are Muggles," she divulged. When Ellie asked her what she was late for, her eyes opened wide, round with shock. "Late? Um.. I'm not late for anything. Why do you ask?" she said quickly. Now, this was awkward. She wasn't about to say 'your boyfriend. I'm too late to ask your boyfriend out'! That would just be stupid.

"Well, I'm not like them so no worries there." She laughed. She looked at Alycya, trying to think up of an excuse. "I just thought you were late for something you seem like you're..." She stopped when she heard something else and her eyes shown with understanding. She looked at Andrew for a second before turning to look back at Alycya. She liked Andrew! Ellie shook her head, keeping her hands of Andrew's hand. "I'm sorry..."

Alycya sighed, shaking her head. "No. Nothing I'm late for," she repeated. Alycya's eyes widened again as Ellie seemed to work out what was wrong. f**k! "Sorry for what, Ellie? You have nothing to be sorry about. You asked a question, I answered," Alycya said, trying her hardest to sound indifferent, sincere.

Andrew followed the conversation curiously not really understanding what was being discussed. He caught Ellie's gaze and raised his eyebrow as she placed her hand back on his. He shook his head in his confusion and stared out at the lawns instead his mind playing over what homework he had when he suddenly realized he needed the notes, "Hey Alycya, you don't happen to have the notes for potions do you? I misplaced mine earlier and I can't find them anywhere."

Alycya started as Andrew spoke to her. "Umm. Yeah. They're - They're in my bag. In my dorm," she said, trying to stop herself from blushing, even the slightest. How embarrasing.

Ellie looked at Andrew for a seond before turning back to Alycya. She tried to think of something, something that would change everything, but the only thing she could think of was to tell the truth. "I'm sorry that I know what wrong." She said softly, as she reached out and took a hold of Andrews free hand.

Ellie turned back to Ellie as she spoke. "You what? You - uh - you know what's wrong?" she said, shocked. "But. Nothing's wrong," she added. She was feeling sort of flustered now. s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t!
