Kelly watched as Sam cut the roots, then she put the kettle back on the fire and added the roots. She stirred it 7 times clockwise and 3 times counter-clockwise, just like it was said in the instructions. It achieved the shimmering greenish colour, it was supposed to. "Now we wait 20 minutes again, then you can put in the armadillo pile" she adressed Sam, in a cold voice, looking him in the eye. He looked so adorable.

Sam cut the daisy roots into equal portions, then handed them to Kelly. He looked up at her as she stirred the potion the required times then kept his eye on her as she sat down and spoke to him, in a surprisingly cold voice. He hadn't done anything wrong had he? The potion looked right. He looked up again and saw she was looking at him. He gave her a smile and sat casually back in his chair.
Danika was slightly shaken by her mind conversation with Pettigrew, but she turned her mind back to the task at hand. She quickly cut the daisy roots, her ability to measure with her eyes coming very much in handy, and dropped them into the cauldron. She put it back on the heat and stirred it 7 times clockwise then 3 times anti-clockwise. She watched it turn the right colour. She sat back in her chair again and crossed her legs again, making sure her skirt fell back again. She gazed over to Kelly and frowned. She was giving Sam the eye. What a flirt! she thought to herself angrily.

Andrew cut up the roots trying hard not to damage them as was his usual habit and to cut them evenly. He put the cauldron back on the fire and threw the roots into it satisfied that they were even. He stirred the cauldron 7 times counterclockwise and 3 times counterclockwise...Or was that the fourth? He watched as it started to change color and bubble over. With a quick glance at everyone's cauldron he knew that he had done it wrong and stepped back. "Um...professor..." He watched it and cringed slightly afraid of what might happen.

Emilia raised her head from her notes, when she heard someone say something. One of the Gryffindor's boys kettle had started boiling over. "I guess you didn't stir it 7 and 3, am I right?" she looked at him coldly "I advise you to always pay attention to the instructions. They are very helpful you know." She waved her wand and the potion turned back to normal, as it was, before adding the roots. "Now, you have to cut and add the roots again."

Andrew started to say something but closed his mouth, "Yes, professor." He looked down at his cauldron and frowned slightly in irritation. Sighing he began cutting up the roots again and repeating the process, making sure to count his stirs. He watched as it became just like everyone else's and smiled to himself. Not to bad Andy old boy. Not to bad.

Emilia watched as the Gryffindor boy cleaned up his mess. "Mr McDougall, could I see you in my class?" She looked at him couriously. "Everyone else, you should be finishing your potions."
Kelly added the armadillo bile to the potion, it turned purple and a white cloud appeared. She stirred it 5 and 8 times, it turned red, like it had to. "I love potions" Kelly said, without realizing, Sam would hear. "Khhm, Sam, go and bring the sample bottle. Please." she sounded nervous.

Andrew looked up at the professor in puzzlement, "Yes, Professor." He walked over toward the professor's (office?) unsure of what had just happened to cause this. But I did it right the second time. He glanced at Bella clearly puzzled and shrugged with a smile.

Bella watched Andrew go looking extremely confused. Sure he had messed up the first time but the second time he seemed to have gotten it right. His potion was red just like hers, and Kelly's, and Danikas. She gave him a small smile and mouthed, "Tell me later," before going to get her own bottle to pour her potion in.

Emilia ran back to the classroom. "Put your potions in bottles and put them to my desk, when you're finished, you're allowed to leave" she said it all in one breath, because she wanted to get back in Andrew's arms. "I have to leave again." She turned and left the classroom.
Kelly poured the potion in the bottle, took it to professor Pettigrew's table, took her stuff and left the room wihtout saying a word.
