Thoughts of a lonely man (astronomy tower)

Tobias walked up the narrow spiral steps to the top of he astronomy tower were he sat on one of the battlements overlooking the black lake were he could see the squid moving round the water happily.

He had to think about stuff that had happened o him like his condition had suddenly got a hold of him and how stupid he was to leave Gabby up against the wall naked but if he hadnt then maybe his conditon would have done something. Leaning over the edge he could tell how far it was down but he wasnt like that. he could never jump off the battlements as he loved Gabriella too much.

"Tobias?" Isabella said seeing the Hufflepuff boy in the tower. She had come up here to star gaze, but she may as well be socialable. "Are you alright?" He looked upset to her and was standing a bit too close to the edge for her to feel safe about his safety.

Tobias whipped his head round at the sound of his name"Erm...uh...yea He said wipeing a tear away from his eye. "So why are you up here anyway?" Hesaid moving away from the edge.

"I was going to gaze at the stars," Bella told him. "You can join me if you want to." She conjured up a blanket and layed it on the ground and sat on it, leaving enough room for him if he wished. She could see that something was wrong with him but knew from her own experience that some people would speak when they were ready and not before hand. "Here," she said handing him a a tissue. "It's better for your skin, then using your hand."

Tobias took the tissue and wiped his face then he sat on the blanket beside bellathen looked up at the stars "I would tell you what is wrong but i dont know how to explain it...and Gariella might kill me for telling you some of it" He said as he spotted a shooting star.

Bella smiled as Tobias sat next to her, at least she'd be able to find out some of what was wrong with him. "Well don't tell me everything then, just highlight the main thing or things and if you want, change the context. Believe me, I think Gabbie would be more thankful that you were less depressed instead of you telling me things that happened between you two. Though if it makes you feel better, you don't have to tell me at all and we can talk about something else." She saw the shooting star and followed it across the sky with her finger. "That is one of the reasons why I come up here. The sky holds many secrets and wonders."

"Well its like this i was in the bathroom with gabriella....and well i dont know how to explain it but i have an illness that the healers have no iddea about but it like ...it hurts me and everytime it does i have to take my medicine or i could die and it happened and i left her in the toilet ...up against a wall....naked..."[/color he said as he hung his head in shame please dont tell her i told you

Bella listened as Tobias explained things to her about his illness. "I'm sorry that no one knows about your illness, but at least they have given you medication to help with it." She frowned though when she heard what he had done with Gabriella. "Well at least you know that it was wrong. And I'm guessing, knowing Gabby, that she made sure you knew it was wrong. Don't worry though, I won't tell her. We don't just talk about our love lives you know, there are more important things such as fashion." She thought for a moment then came up with a brilliant idea, "Instead of keeping your medication down in your dorm room, why don't you keep it on you in your bag on in a pocket? That way you never have to leave Gabby when you're in the middle of doing things."

"no it needs to stay in my dorm because i have to keep it in a little machine which does something to it He said as he noticed another shooting star fall over the horizon "I will see how she is in the morning" He added quickly.

"Oh I see," Bella said. "Well does Gabby know about your illness? Because if she doesn't it might be a good idea for you to tell her, so she understands why you may have to run off next time." She looked up at the sky and saw a few constallations and smiled, knowing what they were thanks to astronomy lessons and her own reading. "I would, and apologise again. You know you won't do it again. She knows you won't do it again, so you should be fine."

"Erm...well she doesnt know and im not sure ho i should tell her" He said with a cofused look on his face "I mean how do you tell your girlfriend that you have a rare illness that nobody knows what it is or what caused it?"

Bella turned to face him, her face converying a sense of seriousness. "You need to tell her, even if it doesn't make sense to you. She needs to know, otherwise she may start getting doubts about where you're going." She sighed and gave him a small pat on the back. "Just tell her what you've told me. That you have a rare condition which means you have to take this medication;and although the Healers are trying to figure it out, they still don't know exactly what it is."

"ok ill tell her the next time i see her ut for now i think i will just watch the stars" He said as he lay on his back and looked up to the heavens above.

"That's a good idea," Bella said relaxing almost instantly. She didn't like having secrets being kept from her friends. "I think I'll join you," she said, though she stayed sitting, tucking her legs under her as she watched the sky for anymore shooting stars that she could wish upon.
