Auror Prep. #1

"Ah, yes" Serena nodded and sat on the edge of her desk, "that has been used many times in famous history" she said with a nodded, "at a Weasley wedding the death eaters had taken over the ministry and were going to get them..." she paused and took a breath then kept going, "and shacklebolt sent a warning to them via patronus. anything else class?"

[Krysta Hedwig]

"That's cool. Can you teach us to do that too?" asked Krys, thinking what a useful skill that would be. "Also...what if you don't really have many happy memories? I mean some people don't, do they?!" she asked, realising she was aksing more than one question.

[Kelly Black]

Kelly sat at the back of the class. She didn't make a sound. Too many thoughts went through her mind and besides she knew it all, so why bother. She listened silently, but a little smile played on her lips as Krysta spoke.

[Krysta Hedwig]

Krys felt the back of her neck burning. That was never a good sign. Her wand hand twitched and she thought of the triple core, sitting safely in her bag. Her eyes darted towards her bag and her eyes narrowed. Someone was watching her. She looked at Sam who was still staring at his books. No it wasn't him and Isabel seemed to interested in what Professor Black was saying. She turned around and saw Kelly Black sitting at the back of the room. She swallowed hard.
Oh dear. That's where it's coming from. She thought to herself, clsoing her mind off. She'd heard rumours about Kelly's mental powers and wasn't going to take any risks. She smiled warmly at Kelly and turned back to the front of the class, biting her lower lip. It was strange how someone so stunning could be so intimidating.

[Kelly Black]

Kelly saw the girl look at her. So, it was a Gryffindor, no wonder she asked so much. She tried to enter her mind, but she had blocked it. Wise girl. She saw her turn away, and she sent a silent message to her. "Are you scared of me?"

[Krysta Hedwig]

Krys laughed. She didn't mean to, it just came out. She didn't care that people were staring at her. Internally she chuckled and opened up a channel to Kelly's mind.
"So it's true then." she thought at her. "useful skill isn't it?" she asked, somehow managing to add a bemused tone to the telepathic link.
She turned back to Kelly and winked.
"I'm only afraid of situations, not people." she explained. She kept her mind closed, though. Kelly was the last person she wanted poking around in there, even if they were on the same side theoretically.

[Kelly Black]

Kelly sent Krysta a smile, as she turned towards her. "Yeah, it is useful. Sometimes." She leaned back on her chair, keeping a close eye on Krysta. "Sometimes you should be afraid of people too. You never know, what they could do." Kelly's eyes turned red for a second and then back again. A smile played on her lips, when she sensed that Krysta's mind was still closed. She decided to do something crazy. It amused her. She sent a picture to Krysta's mind. It pictured her and Caitlin. She was a wolf and Caitlin had her arm bleeding. "I be dangerous even without my wand"

[Danika Peverell]

Danika walked slowly into the room, very aware she was late. Clutching the letter from Kildara in her hand, she strode up to Professor Black, being careful to close her mind. She was a Death Eater in a room of Order Members. A rose amongst thorns, she laughed to herself.
"I'm sorry I'm late Professor. I was with Professor Snape," she said, holding out the note.

[Krysta Hedwig]

Krysta chuckled, but raised an eyebrow in slight surprise. A Werewolf, eh? She sent a return picture to Kelly, the picture of a large black panther standing over a dead vampire.
"You're not the only one." she commented dryly. She was enjoying this. Kelly excited her, she was a fascinating girl; more fascinating than she realised. And the way Kelly was pulling a power-play was amusing. Was she trying to threaten her or was she just showing off? Krys couldn't tell, but she'd never been one to take a threat lying down. She wasn't stupid, though. She kept the triple-core hidden from Kelly's prying mind. She'd promised her Mother she would be discreet, and she always kept her promises...all of them.
She looked over her shoulder and gave Kelly a dark grin. She liked other people with power.

She looked up when Dani came in and her concentration broke. She gulped involuntarily. She quickly looked away from Kelly and faced the front of the classroom, using all her power to keep her mind closed. She shivered.

[Kelly Black]

Kelly let out a soundless laugh, when she received the panther image. "You're not as bad as you think!" She broke the connection as Danika walked in. She looked at her with her usual loving look. She was as pretty as always. She noticed that Krysta shivered slightly. "She's mine. I hope you know that!" was all she sent to Krysta.

"How could one forget?" she sent back. She ignored Kelly's comment about "not being as bad" as she thought she was. She wasn't about to start a pi**ing contest, it wasn't worth it. She had the power when she needed it and that was all that mattered. She couldn't help thinking that Kelly was very uwise to underestimate poeple she didn't know very well. Not everyone was as reasonable as Krysta. She decided to drop the mind-link and looked towards Professor Black to see what she was going to teach the next.

"Professor how far away can a patronus be sent when sending a message?" Bella asked. She knew of quite a few memories she'd be able to choose from, thanks to a certain person. Stealing a quick glance at Sam, she blushed before focusing again on the Professor. "Because if it could be sent far, shouldn't we use that more often then owls?"

Serena looked as Danika entered the room and nodded at the note, "please that a seat Danika" she said puting it down and looking at the class. "They can be sent quite far Isabella but not a lot of people can use them right. This is advanced magic you learn when in auror training." she stopped and looked around, "no more questions? ok wands out"

[Danika Peverell]

Danika nodded at Professor Black and took a seat next to Kelly. She took her wand out of her pocket and gazed up the front in a daze, staring at the back of Krysta's head. What was going on with her? Why was life all of a sudden really hard! She shook herself out of her dreaming and looked up at Professor Black, waiting.

Bella nodded and took out her wand, her mind already searching through the memories she had for the right one. This was going to be an interesting lesson to see what patronus' people had. If hers was a slug or a spider she'd freak. Getting rid of her thoughts she concentrated on the lesson.
