Charms Lesson One

Danika sighed and regarded the older girl with an air our superiority and indifference. "Whatever," she shrugged and turned back to face Tudor.

Olivia eyed the girl who kept laughing. "Ms. Black, correct?" she asked without waiting for an answer she continued, "I'd appreciate it if you would contain your laughter until it's appropriate, and please raise your hand before speaking."

Olivia returned to the front of the room, and once again looked at the students. "Now that we know you're all up to par with everyday charms, lets attempt something slightly more advanced. Have any of you ever attempted a supersensory charm?"

Danika shot Kelly a look of triumph and turned back to Tudor. She smiled and raised her hand. "I've done one. I can't remember how I did it though. It sort of just happened." she said, shrugging her shoulders.

Kelly shook her head. "That girl never learns." she thought. "Professor Tudor. I've tried it once, but it didn't quite go the way I planned. I consentrated on one sence, but the other one was affected. What could have been the cause of that?" she tried to sound a bit confused, though she actually knew what had happened, but others didn't need to know that.

Caitlin leaned over to Dani. "Because she only has one sense..her moulth."She said hautily this girl was so pathetic she complained because Dani 'showed off' how stupid.
Caitlin had done a super sensory charm once but it wasn't that strong so she didn't comment.

Nathan didn't bother to listen to the girls sort of arguing. They kind of always were, anyway. He looked up at the Professor and nodded when she said if they could do non-verbal spells. He could, but it still needed to be perfected.

He laughed a bit when Professor Tudor mentioned the Supersensory Charm, he'd use it many times when he played Quidditch back home with his cousins. It helped a bit. "Yes, I have Professor, many times" he said.

Olivia was impressed that the students had attempted it. Supersensory charms were fairly advanced, but it appeared that this class held some very promising students, so she wasn't altogether surprised. She looked to the ravenclaw boy, "Five points to your house if you can properly explain the definition of a supersensory charm, for those here that may not be familiar with them."

Nathan looked up to the Professor and nodded, "Well, a Supersensory Charm lets you sense the things that are out of your line of sight" he answered, "Like something that is coming from behind you, which you wouldn't see normally" he explained.

Caitlin looked over at Nathan. she wondered if he had noticed that proffesor Tudor was part Veela yet. Since he had fallen victim to her charm several times...but she had to admit he was pretty good at snapping out of it.

"That is absolutely correct," Olivia said, smiling at Nathan. "Five points. Now, we are going to learn the incantation," Olivia added as she waved her wand at the chalk again, and it promptly began writing on the worn down chalkboard:

Danika's face was written with recognition. "Volan Sentio," she muttered to herself. She wondered whether she would be able to do this one non-verbal, she thought maybe that's how she did it before.

Caitlin looked at the board and read the incantation. It was pretty easy.

Ashley picked up her wand and said the spell "Volan Sentio" She watched as the spell did it's effects
"Did it professor" She called

Bellz and Mary-Kate watched as their sister did they spell
"I guess we best do it then" Mary-Kate told her sister, who nodded.
They both picked up their wands at the same time and cast the spell
"Volan Sentio"
Nothing happened, they both sighed and tryed again

"Good tries," Olivia said to the students as an owl began tapping at her window. Confused, she went over to open it, and took the small letter tie to the owl's leg. Her face draining into a pale look of shock, she said, "Good job everyone. Class dismissed," And went to her desk, hastily writing a response to the letter.

Danika stood up and packed her things into her bag, throwing it over her shoulder and walking from the class.

Sam frowned slightly at Tudor, before packing his things and walking out of the classroom.
