Caterina noticed Danika's quietness, if you may say, and looked at her, this time, "Miss Peverell, how exactly do you think Pyromancy works?" it wasn't that hard, actually.

Danika shrugged. "Looking into flames, seeing shapes or something?" she said. She really didn't know. She hated filler classes. They made her feel so stupid.

Caterina smiled, Danika was actually correct, "Yes, exactly, two points for you" she said, and continued to walk around, "That's exactly how is done, the Pyromancer observes the flames and interprets the shapes that sees. There are many forms of Pyromancy, of course" clearly there were many forms to do anything in Divination, it bothered her a little, "Does anyone know some of them?" she asked, this time to no one in particular.

Kelly raised her hand again" there are 9 ways and so counted them : Alomancy, Botanomancy, Capnomancy, Causinomancy, Daphnomancy also, Empyromancy, Osteomancy, Plastromancy, Scapulimancy, Sideromancy."

"There are nine ways Professor," Isabella said, as she raised her hand. "Three main ones are Alomancy which involves salt, Plastromancy which involves turtle plastrons and Scapulimancy which is with Scapulae."

"Good, two points each" Caterina said, "However, most of them are done by interpretation, and it leaves much to the imagination, don't you think?" she said, and started to explain the only one they'll be studying today, "We'll be focusing on Alomancy only" she nodded, taking a seat, "What exactly is Alomancy? Besides being a form of Pyromancy, of course" the question was for everyone to answer, but the last part was directed to Danika, in case she felt like being a little rebellious about the question.

Bella raised her hand again, laughing at the fact that it was her and Kelly all the time, "In Alcomancy you throw salt into the flames and then you interpret the patterns in the flames which you see."

"Considering the flames might change colors...trust me, they will...as soon as the salt is cast into the fire, we will also be needing to know the meaning of the colors, which I'm sure you know by now, right?" she looked around looking at them, "If you don't, It won't be a problem, I know them" a smirk showing on her face, clearly she knew them, she was the Professor. "Is everyone following?" she looked at no one in particular. |

Danika nodded her head while listening to the Professor speak. She was following. Better than she thought she would be anyway.

Caterina smiled, "Good, now, Alomancy, as well as any form of Pyromancy might work perfectly with candles or the flames of a fire place" she said, getting a look at the fire place in the room, "But, call me superstitious or so, I don't want any salty mess in my classroom" she didn't like mess at all, reason number one of why it took her so long to dictate a lesson, she was still getting her things in order.
"Does anyone objects of taking the practical, and obviously most important, part of the lesson outside?" she asked, even if someone said no, that was their problem.

Caterina nodded as she looked around, "Fair enough" she said, "I believe there's something waiting for us by the lake" her eyes were bright, clearly glad that she was going near the water, "I may even let you go for a swim, if you behave" she winked, and started to walk out, "Just follow me" she said, as she headed to the grounds.ooc: head over to this thread -----> Continuing Lesson
