Divination Classroom : Lesson 1

DIVINATION CLASSROOM



As soon as you go through the door to the classroom, there's a hallway leading to it. Follow it and you'll find an arched entrance to the Divination Classroom, please enter and take a seat in one of the comfortable couches and armchairs within the room until the class begins. Do not worry about the ceiling; it's an effect the Professor created to make it look inclined.

It is easily read on the board, the word “Pyromancy”, which will be the subject to be discussed today.

Danika walked into the class and took a seat right at the back. Another filler lesson. Why couldn't she just have free periods? Gosh. She sat down, crossed her legs elegantly and lounged in the chair. She was bored already

Caterina entered the classroom, and noticed Danika already sitting there. "Hello Miss Peverell" she said, as her eyes looked towards the girl, "How are you doing today?" Caterina asked, she couldn't help to chuckle, "Don't get too comfortable, though" she said, the lesson was going to take part on some place else after the theory has been pointed out.

Danika jumped slightly as Sunwood spoke to her. "Oh hi, Professor Sunwood. I'm just great, thank you for asking. How are you?" she said, sitting up in her seat a bit more. "Oh, it's okay Professor. I was just waiting for class to start. You'll have all my attention once it does," she said, an endearing smile on her face.

She smiled, Danika was probably thinking she had better things to do at the moment, but she still needed to fill out some credits, after all. "I'm fine, Miss Peverell" Caterina said, and she placed some papers on a chair, the papers had nothing to do with Divination, though. "Don't worry, you know the students are able to chat and do what they'll like before the lesson begins"

Bella walked into the Divinitation classroom and smiled, well at least she wasn't the first one there. "Good morning Professor," she said as she took a seat. "Hey Dani," she smiled at her friend, knowing that she would probably much rather be flying at the moment.

Kelly walked into the classroom, looking awfully tired and still having scars on her pretty face. "Good morning professor" she said, taking a seat next to Danika. "Hi, dear" she turned to Dani, stroking her hand softly. "Oh, and Bella, didn't see you here" she smiled.

"Hey Kel," Bella said smiling. She didn't care that she was being ignored really. She was thinking about other things such as what to get Sam, even though Christmas was still a few months away. Maybe with the help of Divinitation today she could see what he was going to recieve from her.

Danika looked up as Bella walked in the room. She'd been thinking about the new trick she'd seen in a book in the Library. How she could pratice it with nobody seeing her do it. She jumped out of her daze when Bella spoe to her.
"Hey Bella," she said, smiling back at her.

Danika smiled happily, all thoughts of Quidditch out of her mind, as Kelly walked in. She sighed softly as Kelly started stroking her hand. "Hey, babe," she said softly, smiling, a loving look in her eyes.

Caterina smiled at the ones who entered before, but was very oblivious to whatever happened, she decided she could start already. Placing the papers away, she got up and wlked from side to side, "So, we'll be discussing Pyromancy today...can any of you tell me what that's about?" just so she'll know how much was there to explain.

Kelly raised her hand "Pyronmancy means telling the future using flames." she had tried it,so she knew.

"Well Pyro means fire, so Pyromancy means telling the future through fire or well the flames of a fire," Sabrina said raising her hand. Maybe she had been way too bored over the summer; that would explain the reason she knew about the language resemblence.

"Yes, very good" she said, nodding, "One point for both of you" and she continued a bit more about Pyromancy, "As you both had said, Pyromancy is a way of divination by using fire. Considering how important fire was to the beginning of times, it was probably the one of the firsts forms of divination" she paused a little, there was no need to tell the whole history of how fire was discovered and all that nonsense, "Which known societies used Pyromancy?" Caterina looked at the classroom, a serious expression on her face, hopefully someone would say the two main countries that practiced it.

"Well virgns at the Temple of Athens used Pyromancy in Greek," Bella said rasing her hand again. "Plus it was also used in ancient China in the Shang dynasty."

Danika just shrugged her shoulders. Competely lost, she thought. Way to start with something hard!
