Professor Snape's Office

[Caeleb Dracus]

Caeleb was barely a few feet down the corridor when he heard the scream. He turned heel and burst back into the room.
"Dara! Oh my god! he gasped in panic, rushing to her side. He placed his arm around her and lifted her up swiftly into his strong arms.
"Just relax, Dara, I'm going to look after you." she told her reassuringly. He kissed the top of her head as he rushed her from the room , running as fast as he could for the Hospital Wing, holding her tightly in his arm.
D**m it, I knew there was someting wrong!
He berated himself. He'd felt it. Inside the torrent was swirling dangerously and his eyes grew a shade darker. Someone had done this to her. And he was going to make them pay.

Kildara couldn't believe the pain. It was worse than anything she'd ever felt! And she'd been put under the Cruciatus Curse by Voldemort. She heard Caeleb's voice, but couldn't respond, she was beyond speech. She felt like she was going to pass out. She felt his arms around her, but the pain wouldn't let her relish in it. His lips on her head also would have been something that would usually have made her reel, but she couldn't. The pain was going to make her black out, in fact her vision was going. She was still conscious, but she couldn't react.

He could feel her becoming weaker, she was losing consciousness.
"Dara! Dara, listen to me." she said, loudly and firmly. "Dara can you apparate on Hogwarts grounds?" he asked her, shaking her very slightly to try and get a response.
"Kildara!" he shouted, using her full name for the first time in years.
"Babe...I mean Ma'am I need to get you out of here. The hospital wing isn't enough, I need to get you to St Mungos. Can I apparate?" he demanded, realising just how serious this was getting.

Kildara felt him shake her, the pain now reduced to an excruciating throb. "Yes. But I - I'm in so much pain. Caeleb," she breathed, before slipping again. She snapped out of it again when he called her babe. The word hit her like a ton of bricks. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and tried to give him what strength she had left so he could break the shields around the school and apparate her away.

He felt the walls go down and took the opportunity instantly, aware of how much it must have taken out of her to lower the defences.
He hugged her tighty to his chest and spun on the spot, disappearing with a pop and reappearing in the lobby of St Mungos.
