Caitlyn watched as he made the note for the keepers and stood, straightening out her robes. "It's great to meet you Simon." She said shaking his hand and looking up at him. "And to think, I was nervous to meet the other staff, I'm not exactly your ideal of a professor." She admitted to him as she removed a strand of her blonde hair from her face. "I wouldn't think of myself as a superior, just another staff member and friend." She told him truthfully, she really didn't care much about power, and the more power she had, the easier she would screw something up.

"Oh good, because I'm terrible at sucking up to people." he told her with a grin. "You seem a bit nervous about it." he observed. "The staff has completely changed since I was last around, so I won't know anyone either." he assured her. "Well, except you of course." he added.
"What book are you looking for? A lot's changed around here, but this place seems to be exactly as I remember it." he said thankfully.

Caitlyn laughed nervously, she always did hate her weird laugh. "Then that is a good thing, especially since I hate suck ups." She laughed nervously again. She looked at him and smiled, he was rather cute, but he was probably taken. She shook her head and continued smiling at him. "The staff does seem to change a lot, I was shocked when they hired me for the spring." She looked around the store before turning back to him and shrugged. "It was 'Uncharming Charmed Objects'." She told him looking at a pile of book beside her, though she really was just keeping an eye on him.

"Hmmm." he said thouhtfully. "That'll be in the counter-magick section." he said vaguely, He disappeared from sight behind a stack and came back 20 seconds later with a thick red book in his hands. "Here." he said, handing the book to her. "I've read that actually." he informed her. "I had to; with sister like mine you need to know how to undo accidental magic." he said with a chuckle.
"Actually, I lied to you." he said looking guilty. "I do know one member of staff. Kitania Walker, she's the Apparation teacher, but she only started recently. I'm staying at her place on Greenwood at the moment." he told her with a smile.

"Counter Magick, of course." She laughed as she made her way to the section but stopped when he turned into the row and disappeared. She continued forward and peeked down the isle as he reched for the book she was looking for and turned to head back up the row. She moved out from veiw and stood looking toward the counter as he rounded the corner. "Oh thank you, you really are a life savor." She said, smiling as she took the book from him. "Sister? Must've been fun growing up with a sibling. I'm an only child myself." She told him, though not telling him why exactly.
She frowned slightly as he mentioned another staff member and that he was living with her. "Oh, well that's nice of her." She said, a hint of sadness in her voice. "Your girlfriend?"

"You're welcome." he replied in return to her thank you. He almost spluttered when she asked if Kit was his girlfriend.
"What? No! I mean she's lovely girl and I love her to pieces but he's just my friend. A family friend, really. She knew my Mother and she's been watching over my sister for me whilst she's been at school. We're all living at Kit's together. One big happy family." he said dramatically with a big smile.
"Hmmm, sometimes I think being an only child would have made my life much simpler." he said bemusedly. He loved Krys with all his heart but she wasn't exactly the simplest of people to have as a Sister and Ward.

Caitlyn perked up a little and couldn't help but smile when he said she wasn't his girlfriend, must be single then. "That's nice of her, I can't wait to meet her." She told him and thought about their big family. "You're so lucky to have so many people to love you. Growing up was just me and my dad. Pretty lonely if you ask me." She laughed slightly. She normally didn't talk about her family to a lot of people, but for some reason she felt like she could talk to him about anything. "I actually didn't know I was a witch, my mum never told him before she died. He's a muggle, so I went to muggle school until I gotten my letter for Hogwarts. Quite a shock I can tell you." She laughed nervously again.
"Er, you said that Kitana isn't your girlfriend, is there a very lucky girl in your life, if you don't mind me asking."

"Oh you went to a Muggle school?" he asked, sincerely interested. "You'll have to tell me about that sometime. Must have been a shock finding out you were a witch!" he exclaimed. "How did your Dad take it?" he asked.
"Me? No I don't have a girlfriend. I haven't really had time to be honest." he chuckled. He wasn't sure how to act to tell the truth. Was she flirting with him? He honestly couldn't tell. He couldn't actually remember the last time someone flirted wth him so he wasn't sure what the signs were. She was probably just taking an interest. He wouldn't know what to do if she was flirting with him anyway. He was out of practise.
"How about you?" he asked "Are you married or seeing someone?" He smiled awkwardly.
He felt ridiculous and slightly embarrased.

Caitlyn continued smiling, she didn't know why but there was just something about him that always made her smile, well in the amount of time they have met. "It really was, we didn't believe in the magical stuff so when we found out, well my dad shut himself in his room and I just continued living the life I always knew of." She told him, putting her hair behind her ears. She was shocked she had done that since the only times she had ever put her hair behind her ears she was flirting. She blinked a couple of times before refocusing her attention back to him. "Single, I'm surprised, certainly a handsome man like yourself has women running after you." She shook her head at his next question. "No I don't, pretty sad being 29 and still single, but it's the hard truth." She told him, though she realy didn't care if she had a guy in her life or not, sure she would want one, perferably Simon, but it was neccesary to her.

"Wow, poor guy. It must have been hard for him. Did he ever get used to it?" he asked, leaning against the desk. They still appeared to be alone. He looked at her smiling and couldn't help smiling in return. She had a great smile that lit up her face and it was infectious. He laughed a little too highly when she called him handsome. Ok, she was definitely flirting.
"I'm afraid not." he laughed. "I haven't really had any interest since I was living in England to tell you the truth." his heart sngged slightly. His last relationship hadn't exactly ended well. It's not every day your girlfriend decides to join the Deatheaters.
He wan't really sure what to say now. Did he want to flirt back? Yes he did. But he really was out of practise.
Just stick to what you know, Simon.

"Look, this is a little forward, but would you like to go for a drink sometime?" he asked awkwardly. He hadn't asked a woman out in years. But Caitlyn seemed nice, so why not?

"He did, but not until after I left for school. I think he was actually quite glad for me to be out of the house for periods of time." She laughed. She watched as he leaned against the counter and the smile continued to grow a little.
"Well, then all the other women are too stupid to realize how friendly and handsome you are." She blushed slightly after what she realized she had just said. She looked at him and noticed...hurt? in his eyes, must have a bad past, maybe with a previous girlfriend? Now why couldn't know this much in book knowledge? She shook the thought from her mind and gasped slightly when he asked her out. "I'd love to." She said her smiling growing yet again. "Pick a time and place and I'll be there."

He smiled broadly.
"Great! I'll owl you soon." he said, conscious of how red he must be turning. This was strange. He'd only been back a few hours and he already had a date. It was odd being back in the land of the living after so long away.
"Look I have to get home to see my sister, but I'll see you soon, Caitlyn." he said warmly. He hesitantly walked over to her and kissed her cheek before turning and leaving the shop. He definitely had a bounce in his stride now.

Megan headed into the shop, she needed some new books to read in her spare time. That was the one thing that never changed over the years for her, her love for reading was still the same. She let her eyes graze over the books, picking up a book on Astronomy and looking over it.

Iason walked into the bookstore and looked around. The library at home was bigger than this place! But, Ceallach had said he'd be able to find something to amuse himself with in here. He roamed the aisles, really not finding anything of interest. His eyes lit up, and a grin passed over his face.
"Megan?" he asked, in his deep, thick Irish brogue. His sister's ex-best friend. He wondered whether they'd made up yet. He'd probably get in trouble for talking to her!

Megan stopped when she heard a familiar voice, one that she hadn't heard in ages. She turned around and smiled. "Iason, it's been a while." She said in her Irish brogue. She couldn't believe this, it had been ages since she last saw Iason and it was great to see him again.
