Chapter 1:
“Come on Albus, James hurry up.” Lily Potter hurried her brothers. Although she still wasn’t going to Hogwarts she enjoyed the yearly visit to the train station. Just thinking that in 2 years it would be her.
“I’m coming Lily. We still have an hour.” Albus Potter dragged himself downstairs his trunk following him clunking on each step. “Why are you so happy?” He grinned at his little sister and brushed back his shaggy hair. He honestly didn’t want to go to Hogwarts but he dreaded the thought of being put in Slytherin. A Potter in Slytherin? What would his brother say? All of a sudden James Potter pounded down the stairs. “Al move. We don’t want to be late for your first year. Do we?” He gave his younger sister a kiss on the forehead. “Morning Lil.”
“Morning James. Why are you so happy?”
“Oh no reason. Just it’s a lovely morning if I do say so myself.” Little did they know? When James had been staying at his friend Derek’s he had met Abigail. He really did like her. But hadn’t told anyone about her. Yet.
Within 10 minutes the three and their parents were on their way to Kings Cross. James always hated going through the barrier but there was no other way to Hogwarts. Albus on the other hand loved stepping through the wall. He loved the feeling of stepping into another world. It was so, magical. As soon as they stepped through Ginny Potter gave her sons a kiss on their cheeks and attempted to smudge the dirt off James nose. “James you are so like your uncle Ron.” She smiled as she saw her brother and Hermione walking towards them. Hugo and Rose in tow. Rose was starting Hogwarts at the same time as Albus so atleast he would have her to talk to. If they got into the same house. Hugo still had 2 years before he got into Hogwarts.
Albus mumbled a bye to his mother whilst she was still sobbing. “Al... Do you have to go? (Sniff) It will be so lonely at home.”
“Gin just let him go. We go through this every year with James. And if you look he’s made a run for it now.” Harry Potter smiled at his wife and gently prised her away from their son. “Right Al. Look after Rose and yourself. And write to your mother soon. Okay?” He was as worried as his wife but knew he would have to let his son go.
“Yeah dad, bye dad.” Albus smiled at his family and walked toward the train. “C’mon Rose.”
“Im coming Al.” Rose smiled. Mesmerised by the colours of train. They were her favourites. Since her parents had been at school the train changed colour each year. This year it was pink and yellow. Her favourites. As she stepped forward to get on the train she walked into a short boy with blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. “Watch it Weasley.”
Ron watched his daughter carefully. “Malfoy.” He mumbled to Harry and sighed. His children were in for a rough year now Malfoy was at school.
