Sara reappeared just outside the gates, brushing ash off her clothes. Stupid bloody clothing! Even with an Anti-Burn spell on them they still singed slightly. She sighed. But, to be honest, she didn't really mind that much, she was glad to be outside. She'd been cooped up in her office and classroom, in meetings and classes, since she'd returned to the school.
She was in dire need of a drink, and hadn't had time to pick up anything before she'd returned. And, the school didn't stock anything like that - just in case. Plus, she just needed to go out. So, she'd decided on a drink in Hogsmeade. Being in the Village again bought back so many memories. She hadn't set foot in this place since she'd disappeared. The last time she'd been here was with Rabastan, while she was still at school. Just before their wedding, just after she'd lost their child. Just before she'd shot through. She sighed, shaking her head to rid herself of the thoughts, making her way to the Hogs Head. It was more private than the Three Broomsticks.

Rabastan stood at the end of the Main Street, staring at the school in the distance. His plan had been to go straight there and demand admittance. But once he was out in the cool night air, his common sense returned just a bit. How would he get in at this time of night? He had walked up and down the street a few times, but so far as he could see, he would have to wait until morning. He didn't think he could stand to wait that long. Turning abruptly back towards the Hogs Head, he decided to go and have a few drinks. Maybe he'd even be able to sleep a little after that.
As he approached the inn, he saw a slender, shadowy figure approaching from the other direction. Though all he could see was their outline, there was something familiar about the way they moved. Almost like... could it really be her? It was possible, though he certainly wouldn't have expected to find her here at this time of night.
He went closer. Now he was certain. Surely, it was fate that they were both here, at this precise moment. Stepping out of the shadows that had concealed him, he said softly,
"Sara!"

Sara was almost at her goal. The pub for a drink. Golly she needed one right now. Her head was full of school stuff, and other things she really didn't want to think about. Then, she heard someone call her name. The voice was familiar and, to her annoyance, made her heart leap. She looked up, seeing him standing there in front of her. "Rabastan," she replied, trying to push it all backwards, so she didn't have to feel it all again. "It's nice to see you again." She was trying to sound casual. It didn't come out like that, it sounded like he'd made her night.

Now that she was here in front of him, Rabastan was unaccountably tongue-tied. He nodded at her words, his heart beating a little faster at the eagerness in her voice. "I couldn't stand not seeing you again," he said.
He gestured towards the Hogs Head. "I was going to have a drink. Will you join me?"

Sara bit her lip. "Erm," she murmured. "I - uh - yeah, okay," she said finally, accepting his offer for a drink. She was going in there anyway. It would be rude to decline. Not that she particularly wanted to. She gave him a smile, then turned to the oor of the pub.

Rabastan sensed Sara's hesitation, but he was sure that once they sat down, and started talking, he could convince her that they had a future together. And perhaps - his body started to react just at the possibility - she might spend the night with him.
He opened the door of the pub for Sara, and followed her in. Once they were seated, and Rab had ordered drinks, he reached across the table and took Sara's hand. "There's still a chance for us, I know it," he told her, looking into her eyes. "Surely you feel it."

Clear walked out of Honeydukes Sweetshop, munching on a bar of milk chocolate. Once out of the door, and away from the curfuffle of the store, she leaned against the wall outside, waiting for one of her friends... or for Brogan to show up. He'd needed to do something else back up at the school before he could come down to the Village, so she had said she'd meet him at the sweetshop.
She sighed through a mouthful of chocolate, slumping a little more against the wall. If only he didn't think of her as like a baby sister. They'd been spending so much time together at school that over the last month and a half, Clear had kind of developed a little crush. She would never admit it, not even to herself, but it was very definitely there.
Finishing off one chocoalte bar, and pulling another out of her pocket, she watched a group of chatty fourth years pass her by, giggling over purchases they'd made at the robe shop, or other shops around. She'd never been much of a girly girl, and shopping like that wasn't really her thing. She loved shopping, but getting all gooey over a piece of clothing wasn't something she did.
