Kildara's Office

Kildara watched Caeleb's face as he mulled it all over, chewing nervously on her bottom lip. She couldn't believe she'd just asked that! She was sure he'd say no. That was fine, as long as he stayed with her. She just wanted to cement it. She'd never loved someone so much in her life. Never. She was breathing heavy from nerves. She was so scared of losing him.

When he said yes, she let out a tiny sob, and threw her arms around his neck. She kissed him, slowly and deeply, moisture leaking from her eyes. "I love you so much," she sobbed against his lips. "I don't want to lose you."

As Dara threw her arms around he closed his eyes tight and wrapped her up in his arms, his large frame almost enveloping her tiny one completely. He buried his face against her neck and was only mildly surprised when he felt a tear fall from his own eye.
He returned her kiss slowly and lovingly. He looked into her eyes as she spoke and stroked her tears away from her cheeks. He pulled her tightly into his arms again, unable to speak. He kissed her again, passionately as he ran his hands through her hair.
"How can I die when I have you to live for?" he whispered.

Kildara sobbed softly into Caeleb's shoulder. She didn't even know why she was crying. This was such a shock. Even to her, and she was the one that asked. She let out the tiniest of moans as she returnbed his passionate kiss hard, feeling his hands in her hair.
He spoke, and she let out another sob. Death. It was coming for them. "Same," she choked through her tears, which had blocked up her throat. "I was so sure you would say no."

He couldn't help the chuckle.
"My darling. How could I ever refuse you?" The idea that he may have said no was preposterous to him. "I belong to you. You know that. I can't think of a better way to honour that." he told her softly and sincerely. He kissed her again, softly this time. "Don't cry." he hushed her. "I promise you. We'll be together. No matter what." I meant every word. And yet he was terrified that something out of his control would make him break that promise.

Kildara sighed. "I don't know. I just thought - you're seventeen," she replied. "I didn't think you'd want to. No matter how much you loved me." She sighed. "And I belong to you," she murmured. She returned his kiss softly. He spoke, she listened. Despite him telling her not to, it made her cry even more. She sobbed, then buried her face in his neck. She'd never been so scared of dying before. Never.

He shook his head and rolled his eyes teasingly.
"Eighteen." he corrected with a gentle grin. She was incredibly emotional and he held her, letting her cry herself out. He stroked her hair and rested his cheek against the top of her head.
"We should do it soon." he said suddenly. Now that they were engaged he wanted nothing more than to be her husband before something could happen to prevent it. What was the point in waiting? He lifted his head and looked down at her. "How soon can we get a marriage license?" he asked his eyes sparkling.

Kildara didn't exactly know why she was crying so much. She supposed, the thought of losing him was unbearable. Her tears finally dried up, and she heard him speak. "Yes, we should," she replied. She was now, seeing as she was no longer crying, actually rather excited and happy about this. She was going to be his wife. A wife! Oh my god!
When he lifted his head, she moved hers so she could look up at him. She smiled at the sparkle in his eyes. "Now," she said, shrugging her shoulders.

His smile broadened, consuming his whole face. He hugged her tight with happinness and laughed. He couldn't help it.
"Oh my god, I'm getting married' he breathed. The words sounded strange coming out of his mouth. He couldnt believe it. He was still getting used to thre idea that Kildara Snape loved him. Now they were getting married. They were going to belong to each other in every sense of the word.
"Write to the Ministry." he ordered, suddenly feeling oddly excited. Caeleb wasn't usually the excitable sort. "We should do this properly. Have them draw up a license and book a Registrar...if that's what you want..." he looked at her with a sudden look of concern. "We'll do this however you want, I just..." he trailed off and smiled again. "I don't care I just want to marry you." he conceded and hugged her again.

Kildara giggled softly as he hugged her tight. He seemed really happy about it. That was the main thing!
She smiled. "Oh my god, I'm getting married," she repeated. Kildara Snape, notorious for being a bit of a playa, and destined to be a spinster her entire life, was getting married. To the man of her dreams. And she was ecstatic.
As he spoke, she nodded. He looked at her, and she gave him a reassuring smile. "Let's do this," she said, sinking into his hug. "I don't care anymore. They're going to sack me after all this anyway," she told him. "So, why not do it legally. You're of age, there should be no worries." She smiled, and leant up to give him a kiss. She summoned some parchment, a quill, ink and something to lean on, and wrote out a letter explaining what they wanted done. She didn't want to leave his embrace, so she did everything still sitting on his lap. "This sound right?" she asked, holding up the letter for him to read.

Caeleb took the parchment and scanned it. He didn't really know what he was looking for. He hadn't done this before! He was still a student after all.
"Er, yeah I guess." he said with a grin. Something occured to him in that moment. He was still a student.
He took a piece of Dara's parchment and her quill and began penning a letter When he had finished he handed it to her, a solemn look on his face.

Headmistress Snape,

I am writing to inform you of my intention to leave Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. I acknowledge that this means I cannot take my NEWTS or graduate, but I have made my decision.
I plan to get married to the woman I love and I feel it would be inappropriate for me to do this whilst still a student, since she is an employee of the school.

He unpinned his prefect badge and placed it in her palm.

Kildara looked at Caeleb curiously as he took some parchment and her quill and started writing. She raised an eyebrow and chewed on her lip. He handed her the letter, and she read it, tears welling up in her eyes again. She shook her head as he placed his badge in her hand. Putting all of the stuff down in the chair beside them, she shook her head again, shifting and turning, until she was facing him, astride his thighs. "No, Caeleb. No," she said, shaking her head. "No. I - that means we have to be even further apart. No, I can't - I won't accept this." She knew it made perfect sense, but, after they were married, he wouldn't be with her. But - surely, as Headmistress, she'd be able to organise for him to stay with her.

He let her have her say but he shook his head decidedly.
"I won't marry you whilst I am a student at this school, Dara. It's wrong. If I have one pure thing in my life it's to be this marriage. I undertsand you don't want to be apart from me. I don't want to be apart from you either. So there's really only one thing left to say." he said seriously. Then slowly a smirk crept onto his face.
"Can I have a job?" he asked.

Kildara groaned another protest, but couldn't continue fighting back. He had a point. It was illegal for them to be together, let alone get married. His next words shocked her slightly.
"A-A job?" she repeated, her lip catching between her teeth again. "Umm, there isn't really any open." Then she chuckled. "You can be my personal assistant!" It was meant as a joke, but hey - it was an appealing idea. And, he'd be with her all the time.

The look on her face made him laugh. She looked so astonished and then confused. He knew there weren't any jobs open. He couldn't be a teacher anyway, not without any NEWTS at all. And he didn't exactly want to be Groundsman or Caretaker anyway. He pursed his lips as he tried to think of a new and exciting position that he could assume. When she suggested 'Personal Assistant' he knew she was joking and he chuckled too. But then he thought about it. It wasn't such a bad idea. It would mean being able to be close to her and gave him an excuse to be in her office. He could go anywhere in the castle without being challenged. He could come and go from the castle without anyone being suspicious. It was perfect.
"Ok, then." he grinned.

She watched his face as he thought. When he said yes to being her assistant, she raised an eyebrow. "O-okay then," she said, letting out a breathy chuckle. "Hmm. So, that's official then, umm." She flicked out her hand, and a piece of parchment flew into her hand from one of the drawers in the desk. "Offer of employment," she explained. She touched her finger to all the appropriate spots, then picked up her quill, inked it, and signed. She chuckled, then handed the quill to him. "Sign there, please," she asked, indicating where.
