- Please register for the class using the sign up parchment.
- Even if class has already started, you can still join, just fill out the form.
- If you RP in the class without registering first, I may have to feed you to my pet manticore!
- I will assign chapters to be read before the class, and set homework at the end of the class. Both will also be posted in the Astronomy Class Announcements thread. It is your responsibility to check for announcements.
- Homework due date will be given at time of posting.
- PM your homework to me (evilorangebunny). Do NOT post it in any of the threads, if you do, you will automatically receive a failing grade on the homework and lose 10 house points for not following instructions. Repeat offenders will receive further punishment at my discretion, which may include loss of additional house points, a failing grade for the entire course in the current term, and/or being whipped with wet noodles.
- If you have registered for the class, and cannot do your homework, please PM me with the real reason (eg real school, etc). It would also be nice if you RP your character coming to my office to explain (be creative! ).
- the basic number of housepoints will (usually) be stated on the homework. Extra points will be given at my discretion for good work/effort.
- If you are first to submit your homework you will receive an extra 10 house points.
- if you arrive late (ie, after I have started the lecture) just RP as if you've been there all along. Do NOT post yourself arriving late - if you do, you will lose housepoints. And possibly a few fingernails. You have been warned.
- If I throw you out of the room for any reason, I will deduct housepoints and will not acknowledge your character for the remainder of that class. That means you won't be eligible for housepoints even if you post a correct answer (and you will lose any housepoints you may already have gained during the class )
- Detailed posts make the class more interesting, and may be rewarded with housepoints, praise and the occasional sweetie!
- I encourage you to ask questions, but please RP yourself raising your hand first: (eg Buffy raised her hand, and asked, "Professor, does a lunar eclipse have any impact on werewolves?" )
