Nathalie checked her gown one last time, and adjusted her mask. As she left the common room, her heart was beating fast with excitement. Her very first Ball. And she was going with Caeleb Dracus!

Caeleb had arived outside the Common Room early. He didn't want Nat to be waiting around for him. When she appeared out of the Common Room he was quite taken aback. She looked absolutely beautiful.
"Wow." he exclaimed, his mouth breaking into a genuinely delighted smile. "You look stunning." he told her sincerely. The lilac satin set off her sparklin blue eyes beautifully. She looked amazing. he stepped forward and offered her his arm, quite proud to be having her on it.
"May I escort the young lady to the dance?" he asked, bowig slightly.

Nathalie blushed at his words. She'd thought she looked good, but hearing him say she was beautiful sent a thrill through her. "You look very handsome," she told him. That wasn't quite the word she'd had in mind, but somehow 'hot' didn't seem to match the dignity of the occasion. She put her hand on his arm, as she'd been taught in one of her mother's mind-numbing etiquette lesson. "You certainly may," she replied, unable to hide her grin at his formality.
