Could use a vacation. All these noisy first years...." Not to mention problems going on with Ellie and then there was Bella...Oh, I need a drink. He sighed and leaned back in the chair, "So why'd you come here Amanda?"

"Well, I transferred here from a magic academy in Canada and since "my parents" moved me here they wanted me to attend another school for witchcraft and wizardry." She said, somewhat rolling her eyes. Not that you really needed to know that, I was sorta talking to Kelly before you decided to come and interrupt. She thought and smirked.

Emma plopped down on a comfy chair, listening to the older peoples conversations.

Kelly noticed Amanda smirking. It made her giggle. She mouthed the word 'dormitory' to Amanda and turned to Andrew "Well. You know what, me and Amanda have a little girl talk to get to, so we're going to leave you here now, okay?" She looked at him and smiled. She got up and walked to the stairs. There she turned back and said "See you later, Andrew. We have to patrol the corridors today" and climbed up the stairs.

Andrew sighed and didn't look up from his sketch, "Just bloody great. The highlight of my day right there, Kelly." He continued to draw as he muttered to himself, "Hopefully Bella doesn't have it to." He glanced up as he heard someone else walk into the common room, "Hello. Umm...I don't think we've met. I'm Andrew 6th year Prefect." Where are all these new people coming from? He sighed, Maybe I've been living in my own little world to much.

Alycya bounded into the common room with her usual boundless amount of childish energy. She flopped down into an armchair, letting out a sigh. She looked around, smiling.
"Hey Andrew," she said, giving him a smile. "How are you?"
Turning to see the younger girl there, she smiled. "Hey, Emma isn't it? I think I met you on the train. Alycya Weasley, 6th year," she said, giving the younger girl an encouraging smile.

Andrew looked up from his drawing as he heard someone else entering the room. "Hey Alycya. I'm alright. You?" He glanced at the younger girl in the room and smiled. Now he had a name. I swear I'm going to have to get a bloody contact book or something. "Did you have a good holiday Alycya?"

Alycya smiled as Andrew spoke. "Eh. I'm fine. But, you would think the Slytherins would have gotten over me being a Muggle-born by now. Seriously! I've only been here for what, six years?" she said, shrugging her shoulders. "Yeah, holidays were okay. Mum and dad took me to Germany to see some of mum's family. That was interesting. How was your holidays Andrew?" she asked.

"Hi Alycya. Yeah, I'm Emma Scarlett, 1st year, no title." Emma smiled. "You might know my sister though, she's a Ravenclaw Prefect." she said proudly.
"Not all the Slytherins are bad!" she protested, "Jinx Hamilton is very nice. Oh, Germany, I love Germany, I have an uncle there. Uncle Frank. He's one of my favorites. Muggle- borns are nice too, Chris is nice and he's a muggle- born. It shouldn't matter who your parents are!"

Alycya laughed, giving Emma a smile and a nod. "Exactly! There is nothing wrong with Muggle-borns, seeing as I'm one. I'm just as good, if not better, in class as them. And yes, Emma, not all Slytherins are bad. But Jinx is growing up in a very different Hogwarts than the one that exsisted before the war. There's still a little rivalry between Slytherins and Gryffindors, but no where near as much as there used to be," she pointed out. "Yes, Germany's beautiful. I love it there. Pity mum doesn't like it that much. And her family's really nice too" Alycya shrugged her shoulders, flicking a stray red strand out of her eyes.

"Pretty yeah, like you, your pretty! My mom is too, she says I'll be pretty one day, but I don't think so, my nose is too big!" she said with a lop sided smile. "I'm a pure blood, but a blood traitor, I have friends that are all sorts of things!"

Alycya smiled. "Thanks Emma. You're pretty. And your nose is perfect!" she said, leaning over and tapping Emma on the tip of her nose. "Eh. I don't have prejudices against anyone. I think it's stupid. We're all the same, essentially. We all have magical abilities. Just because my parents don't, doesn't mean I stole it or something stupid like that. I don't even have a wand! How can they explain that one?" she said, shrugging her shoulders.

Emma giggled as Alycya tapped her nose. "My brother does that all the time." she said. Then replied to the next part. "Yeah, that's silly. I like magic, I really want to learn the bat bogey hex. That would be fun."

Alycya smiled as Emma giggled. "How old is your brother?" she asked. She was guessing older. "The Bat-Bogey Hex, that's fun. Ginny Weasley herself taught me that one. She thought it was cool we had the same last name, but were no relation, so she took me under her wing, so to speak. And Hermione Granger. They're both such wonderful people.

Andrew started to speak when Emma and Alycya started up. He smiled slightly and turned back to his drawing. It was fine with him how would he explain that his holidays had been terrifying, fantastic, and something other worldly. He stared into the fireplace not really seeing it as his thoughts took him back to this afternoon and the issues with Ellie. He really needed to talk to someone but the only person he was remotely close to or trusted was Bella and there was no way he was going to talk to her.

Alycya looked over to Andrew, wondering why he'd all of a sudden gone silent. Not that he was a talker anyways, but still, he was more silent than usual.
"Andrew, love, are you okay?" she asked him, looking at him rather concerned.
