"Well great, honestly people need to keep tabs on me, once I start drinking I don't know when to stop, which isn't good for me" She said, being very serious. She started thinking about heading back to her area in the Room of Requirement where she could play her guitar.

"Well, that's what I'll do then. It's not good to get drunk everytime you go out. Well, I'm going to go lie die or something before my next class. See you around Megan," she said, as she waved and continued down the corridor to the stairs to the seventh floor.

Nathalie stopped, looking at the noticeboard outside the Auror Prep classroom. She'd been thinking about this for a while. Being an auror sounded very interesting, and having checked up on the qualifications she would need, she knew she had a very good chance of getting OWLs - followed by NEWTs - in the required subjects. She knew her parents would be horrified. Of course, Nathalie wouldn't be following a career of any kind - she knew she was destined to marry within a few months of leaving school - but she couldn't see the harm in just taking the classes. Especially if her parents didn't find out until absolutely necessary...
Taking a deep breath, she picked up the self-inking quill left on the little ledge below the noticeboard, and signed up for the class.

Simon was rather loathe to leave Liz but the real world had to be dealt with whether he liked it or not. He left his office and headed towards the staircase, meaning to head for Caitlyn's office. He couldn't go on the date now, it wouldn't be right. He'd have to just tell her the truth and call it off. This was going to be awkward.

Caitlyn walked up the stairs wanting to talk to Simon before their date. She had just come from the library, a book in her hand to show off proof. She looked up and saw Simon standing in the corridor. "Simon?" She asked a little awkwardly, how was the best way to let him down easily?

Simon looked up with a start and stopped dead, loitering uncomfortably on the spot.
"Caitlyn! Er...hi." He suddenly felt guilty like a child caught stealing a cookie from the jar. "I was just...um...coming to see you actually." he stammered managing a smile.
Just tell her the truth and get it over with.
"You been to the library?" he asked in a voice slightly higher than usual when he saw the book in her hand.
Coward. Stop changing the subject.
"Anything interesting?" he asked.

"Hey." She said softly and gulped whdo he said he was just coming to see her. Great, this Hs going to be easier said than done.[\i] She nodded and looked at the book in her hands. "No not really. Just reading up on muggle transportation for class." She told him and remembered her meeting with Dmetri, causing her to smile. "Er, you said you were coming to see me, was there something you wanted to talk about?" She asked, not mentioning tgat she was just coming to see him herself.

He nodded, trying to sound interested.
"Muggle transportation, huh? Cars and aeroplanes and stuff like that? Muggles are quite clever really, when you consider their disadvantages." he said. He was stalling. He was also talking complete rubbish.
"Er, yeah it was about tomorrow night." he began. He stopped, not sure where to start.
Just say it! You've met someone else and you don't think you should go on the date. Simple as that.
He gulped and looked at the ceiling as though it may offer some assistance.
"You see well...I don't...I can't...I don't think..." he was really struggling. He just didn't know how to explain the situation without sounding like a complete jerk.

Caitlyn nodded. "I wanted to do a lesson on them but I can't remember everything anymore." She told and stopped as he started speaking. "Our date right? Are...are you trying to say you can't make?" She asked hoping he would say yes.

Simon sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. She'd given him the opportunity to be honest and he was going to take it. After a long pause he finally replied.
"Yes...I'm really sorry. I know we made this date ages ago and everything but...well so much has happened since then and...well to be honest...I've kind of met someone." he said awkwardly, hoping she wouldn't be too angry or upset.
