Magesta nodded, "Alright I will." She nodded knowingly then stood up. "I guess I should go talk to Lucien before it gets too late," she said as she hid a grimace. Oh, geez, what am I even going to say. "I'll see you at dinner with the news."

Liz smiled and stood up too. "Yup off you go to talk to Lucien about our little get together," she said happily. It was better than calling it a date that much was certain. "Yep I'll see you at dinner and if not I'll see you tomorrow morning." Taking her cloak she put it on and then followed Magesta out of her office. "Well I'm off to talk to Simon." she smiled and then walked down the corridor wishing her friend good luck mentally.

Magesta sighed as she left Liz's office. She smirked as she watched her walk off, "If I don't see you at dinner?" She chuckled and shook her head, "Well have fun." She heard her thought and smiled, "You too." Edging her way down the corridor she tried to think frantically of what to say.

Simon adjusted his shirt again and pulled his blazer straight, hoping he woldn't shame Liz. She was so stunning, he was sure he'd look like an old paper bag with her on his arm. He knocked on the door hoping she was ready. They were already running a little late.

Liz turned her head as she heard a knock on her door. She'd just been trying to get a necklace on but her fingers kept slipping on the clasp. Apart from that she was ready to go the dress was really pretty and she loved the colour. "Simon you can come in it's unlocked," she called. Who else would be knocking on her office door when there was a ball downstairs.

Simon paused momentarily before opening the door....and stopping dead, his mouth falling open in awe at the most stunning sight he had ever seen.
"Oh my god." he murmured. "Elizabeth. You are beautiful." he said, not a hint of a joke in his countenance. His face was completely serious. He almost didn't want to go to Ball, he just wanted to stay here and look a her. But he moved forward anyway and took her hands at arms length, looking her over apprasingly. He was almost speechless.
"How can you be going to the Ball with me?" he asked, shaking his head in disbelief.
He saw the necklace in her hands and gently took it from her. Without saying a word her stood behind her and gently laid it around her neck and clasped it carefully. It was the perfect piece to finish of her ensemble. She was perfect.

Liz turned to see what Simon was wearing and bit her lip gently. He was... numerous words popped into his head, none of which seemed to do him justice.
"Thank you. You look quite dashing yourself," she said softly. It felt funny not hearing a single hint of joke in his voice, but was nice. She held out her hands and smiled as he walked forward and took them. It was nice and made her realise it wasn't a dream and she wasn't in a fairy tale. "Um... I was going to ask the same thing," she said touching his face gently.
She watched him as he took the necklace from her and walked behind her. Her breath caught in her throat as she felt it laid on her neck and his fingers clasping it together. Her fingers touched the necklace and she turned to face him, kissing him gently but convey so much emotion through it. "Ready to go and face the students?"

Simon emmitted a tiny moan as she kissed him. He felt like he was in some kind of dreamland. He just couldn't believe that this enchantress was his.
"I'm never ready to face the students." he joked gently, his ususal persona beaking through for the first time. He looked down at his clothes. "Look, my shirt matches your dress. How 'bout that?" he said, feeling slightly nervous. They were going to enter that Ballroom together. Peoople wold see them as a couple for the first time. Including Krysta. Including Kildara. He took a deep breath and held out his arm.
"Shall we?"

Liz grinned as she heard the small moan as she kissed him. "There's more of those later, if we both survive the night," she said promisingly.
"Well tough," she said bossy although she couldn't help laughing a little. She looked at his clothes and then at her dress. "Well that's a good thing, better than it clashing terribly," she said. She was starting to get a little nervous, but it did have to be done at some point and there was no better time than the present. She just hoped it didn't cause too much disruption.
Breathing slowly she looked at him and nodded taking the arm that he offered her. "Yep we shall," she said smiling reassuringly.
